Chapter 105 What's mine is yours

Chapter 105 What's mine is yours

"Mom and Uncle Guo are together now! Uncle Guo is reliable, kind-hearted, and truly sincere towards Mom. Mom has suffered so much over the years, and now finally someone genuinely cares for and takes care of her! She can finally live a comfortable and peaceful life!"

Qin Guifang's tone was full of heartfelt relief and emotion.

She had seen all the hardships Zhou Shufen had endured over the years, and it pained her deeply.

First, Zhou Dajun had an extramarital affair.

Later, that woman even took her job.

Overnight, she had no one to rely on and no way out.

She went to the south alone to purchase goods and started from scratch.

They have come this far step by step through their own hard work and perseverance.

Qin Guifang knew all the hardships, grievances, and loneliness she experienced during this period.

"You're right. As long as Mom is doing well, that's more important than anything else."

Zhou Haiqing nodded heavily.

"I have no other hope in this life. As long as my mother can live a peaceful life, with a smile on her face and warmth in her heart, I will be content."

At Guo Zhenyi's place.

He walked up to Zhou Shufen, his smile almost overflowing.

His voice betrayed his excitement.

“You just admitted to our relationship in front of the children, so it doesn’t count as going back on your word.”

"Isn't this something we should have admitted all along? We've lived together for so long, we're practically family. You just made me say it in public, really."

Zhou Shufen smiled and playfully scolded him.

She pulled Guo Zhenyi to her side.

"Why did you always feel that I was holding back? You always seemed so cautious. I'm not the cold, aloof type; I'm just... afraid to fall in love easily."

"I don't think you're cold, really."

Guo Zhenyi hurriedly shook his head.

“I just think you’re too good. So good that it makes me feel uneasy, like I’m not good enough for you. You’ve been through so much, yet you still maintain this kindness and resilience. I feel so sorry for you from the bottom of my heart.”

Guo Zhenyi stared at her, afraid that she would disappear in the blink of an eye.

Staring at her so intently, Zhou Shufen's heart started racing.

She gave him a push.

"Look at you, why are you saying all this? It makes me feel embarrassed. I'm not as good as you say. I'm just an ordinary woman, I get tired, I feel pain, and I get scared."

"Of course there are! You're the best."

Guo Zhenyi pulled her into his arms.

He held her completely in his arms.

“Some people discard you as a burden, but I will cherish you as the apple of my eye. I will never let you suffer any of the hardships you have endured; I will make up for all the blessings you have never enjoyed.”

Zhou Shufen leaned against his chest, feeling warm inside.

Guo Zhenyi always managed to accurately touch the softest and most vulnerable part of her heart.

The two remained silent, leaning against each other in quietude.

The next morning, they got up together.

Zhou Shufen combed her hair briefly in front of the mirror and then applied some face cream.

A faint smile lingered at the corners of her lips.

Guo Zhenyi was already dressed and wearing an apron, busy in the kitchen.

Over the years, he honed his culinary skills to perfection.

He knew Zhou Shufen preferred light flavors, so he deliberately used less oil and salt.

Zhou Shufen looked up at Guo Zhenyi while eating.

"I still need to go to the department store later to check on the shop's situation and also to inspect the finishing touches on the renovations. What are your plans for today? Do you need to take care of company matters?"

"There's nothing urgent at the company for the time being. The projects I'm working on are all progressing according to plan, so I don't need to keep an eye on them every day."

Guo Zhenyi spoke naturally.

"Since we're just killing time anyway, I'll go with you and lend a hand."

"Okay, let's do it together."

Zhou Shufen chuckled and agreed.

After finishing their meal, the two tidied up and headed towards the department store.

Right now, the main task at the shop is finishing up and cleaning.

All that's left is some dust and construction debris that needs to be cleaned up.

Guo Zhenyi picked up a broom and swept the trash in the corner together.

Don't let the small size of this shop fool you; cleaning it after renovation is a real hassle.

Seeing that he was sweating profusely from his busy work, Zhou Shufen quickly rummaged through her bag and pulled out a bottle of chilled mineral water.

"Take a break and have some water. We can't finish this all at once, let's take it slowly, there's no rush."

"Well, that's about it for today."

Guo Zhenyi unscrewed the bottle cap and tilted his head back to drink several large gulps.

He looked around and nodded in satisfaction.

"The shop will open soon, and it will be basically open for business in two or three days."

He glanced at Zhou Shufen, and a slight smile unconsciously appeared on his lips.

He suddenly remembered something, took out several beautifully printed business cards, and handed them to her.

“Take a look, I’ve contacted these bosses. They’re looking for clothing suppliers with a sense of design, especially your kind of artsy, retro style, which is perfect for them. I think it’s a good opportunity. When you have time, you can talk to them directly and discuss cooperation.”

Zhou Shufen was stunned for a moment.

For a moment, she didn't know what to say.

Her shop hadn't even officially opened yet, but business was already coming to her on its own.

Guo Zhenyi is always reliable and doesn't make promises lightly.

Zhou Shufen never expected that after starting a relationship with him, one benefit after another would come her way.

She was initially worried that it would be difficult to get started.

"What are you staring at? Hurry up and take it."

Seeing that she didn't move, Guo Zhenyi smiled and urged her on.

"I just feel... it's a bit inappropriate."

Zhou Shufen seemed to be joking.

"Isn't it a bit like taking advantage of you to directly use your resources like this?"

Guo Zhenyi saw through her thoughts at a glance.

The smile on his face gradually faded.

"We are now living together as a couple."

He looked into her eyes, his tone firm.

"My connections, my resources, even my future plans—you have a share in them. So, what's mine is yours. What's there to hesitate about?"

"But there's something strange about it, I can't quite put my finger on it..."

She lowered her head and said, "I always felt that I should rely on my own abilities to make a name for myself, instead of relying on you from the very beginning."

"Stop overthinking it."

Guo Zhenyi interrupted her.

"We're family. Sharing resources isn't about taking advantage; it's about making reasonable use of them, understand?"

He winked at her on purpose.

Zhou Shufen was amused by his appearance and reached out to take the business cards.

"Okay, whatever you say."

A smile appeared on her face, and her eyes lit up.

"Then I won't stand on ceremony. Once the store opens, I'll treat you to a big meal with the profits from the first month."

As the two were talking and laughing, Guo Zhenyi's phone suddenly rang.

Zhou Shufen was slightly taken aback and subconsciously looked at the phone he had placed on the table.

He answered the call, his tone carrying a cold, businesslike quality.

"Speak, what is it?"

A slightly anxious voice came from the other end of the phone.

Guo Zhenyi's brows gradually furrowed.

The other party appears to be reporting some kind of emergency.

He listened in silence, occasionally uttering an "uh-huh".

After a moment, he responded in a low voice.

"Okay, I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, he looked up at Zhou Shufen, a hint of apology on his face.
