At dinner, Zhou's mother picked up a lot of her little girl's favorite dishes.
Seeing his mother-in-law like this, and considering that the mother and daughter had just gone to the side to whisper for a while, Ling Ran understood and suddenly he didn't dare to look his mother-in-law in the eye.
He felt a little guilty because he ate someone else's daughter.
Seeing that he was only focused on eating, Zhou Xiang picked up a piece of food for him with his chopsticks and said, "Eat some food!"
The dish on the rice in the bowl was his favorite. Ling Ran's heart was sweeter than honey. He thanked the people around him, "Thank you, my wife."
Zhou Xiang glared at him, "Hurry up and eat! You're talking too much."
Ling Ran stopped talking and concentrated on eating and picking up food for his wife, but his slightly curved eyes revealed his good mood.
Zhou's father and mother looked at each other and felt relieved. There was no doubt about Ling Ran's feelings for his little girl.
Zhu Hang looked at the two of them without saying anything. Ling Ran had just called him brother-in-law. It seemed that whether there was a wedding banquet or not, it was already official.
Zhonglan ate seriously, and she definitely didn't notice the boss's fawning look.
Kang Kang rolled his eyes. Uncle Ling called his aunt his wife, and calling her his wife meant she was married. "Uncle Ling, you call my grandfather Dad and my grandmother Mom, so shouldn't we call you Uncle-in-law?"
Ling Ran nodded immediately, "Yes! You and Jianjian should change and call me uncle."
Kang Kang stretched out his hand and said, "Money for changing your words."
Zhu Hang glared at his youngest son, "Kang Kang!"
Kang Kang immediately retracted his hand and picked up the bowl to eat.
Ling Ran waved his hand, "Brother-in-law, don't yell at him, he's just a kid! Besides, you should get the money to change your name. Stay healthy. After dinner, change your name to call me and I'll give you the money."
"Okay! Thank you Uncle Ling." Kang Kang deliberately emphasized the name Uncle Ling.
"Thank you, Uncle Ling." Jianjian also said so.
After dinner, Ling Ran wanted to wash the dishes, but Zhu Hang snatched it away. Now that Ling Ran is officially in charge, he should share some of the work. In the past, this was done to give Ling Ran more opportunities to perform.
Ling Ran washed his hands and stepped aside, asked his dear wife for the money, sat down firmly, and called Jian Jiankang, "Jian Jiankang, come on! Let's officially change our names."
Kang Kang ran quickly, stood in front of Ling Ran, and waited for his brother.
After Jianjian also stood in front of Ling Ran, the two children shouted at the same time, "Uncle-in-law."
"Hey! Here." Ling Ran gave the money in his two hands to the two people.
"Thank you, uncle." The two children thanked him in unison.
"You're welcome! Okay, go do your homework! If you have any questions in the future, you can ask my uncle."
"good!"
The two children took the money and went upstairs. Now they were trying to manage their own money.
After paying, Ling Ran sat down next to his beloved wife again and said, "Wife, let me go for a walk with you!"
Zhou wanted to get up and take a walk to help digest the food.
Ling Ran followed Zhou Xiang happily out of the Zhou family yard.
Mother Zhou smiled and said, "I never thought that the most troublesome child in the town would be born into our family."
Father Zhou glanced at Zhu Hang and said, "Yes! The two evils in the town that used to give people a headache are now all in our family."
Zhu Hang was a little embarrassed, "Dad, can we not talk about the past?"
Father Zhou laughed, "Okay, okay! Don't mention it, don't mention it."
Ling Ran officially passed the Minglu, and it was justified for him to move into Zhou Xiang's bedroom.
Zhou Xiang didn't want to reason with the scoundrel and let him do whatever he wanted.
Ling Ran just hugged her quietly and slept without disturbing her, so Zhou Xiang fell asleep peacefully.
After a few days of doing nothing, on Thursday, November 9, Zhou Xiang received a call from Director Yu from the city street. Director Yu told Zhou Xiang that Luo Shaoqiang and Luo Shaoying's mother had returned.
Zhou Xiang sat up straight, "Who? Who did you say came back?"
"Ji Hong, the mother of Qiangqiang and Yaya, is back."
"Didn't you say you ran away? Why are you coming back now?"
"She came back with her current husband, saying she wanted to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother."
"Do you believe it?"
"I don't quite believe it, but what she said is sincere. Qiangqiang and Yaya are both minors. As a mother, she has the right to raise them."
"Have you told her where Qiangqiang and Yaya are going?"
"I didn't tell her anything, I just said a kind person had adopted them. She then asked me to contact that kind person and she wanted to get her children back."
"She can throw it away if she wants to, and take it back if she wants? Let alone two children, even if it's just an object, if she threw it away and someone else picked it up, there's no reason to return it. If you ignore her, she'll just say she can't get in touch with you."
After hearing Zhou Xiang's straightforward refusal, Director Yu stopped trying to persuade him.
Who would have known that two days later, two strangers, a man and a woman, came to the Zhou family.
The woman introduced herself to Zhou Xiang generously, "My name is Ji Hong, and I'm the mother of Luo Shaoqiang and Luo Shaoying. I know that Qiangqiang and Yaya were taken away by you, and I also know that they recognized Zuo Youcheng and Fang Yuehong as their godparents.
I didn't go directly to the Zuo family, but came here because I wanted to reconcile with Qiangqiang and Yaya through you first.
Life was so hard back then that I left. Now that my life is better, I plan to take them back and make it up to them."
Zhou Xiang narrowed her eyes, which was a sign of her displeasure. This woman had already investigated everything about Qiangqiang and Yaya, and yet she still ran to Director Yu with that expression. What was she trying to do?
"When times got tough, you just walked away. How did you let six-year-old Qiangqiang and two-year-old Yaya face those difficult times? When you got better, you wanted to make amends. Have you ever thought about whether they, who had to endure those difficult times, still needed you as their mother?
