Liu Xiuxiu changed her happy expression and quickly apologized carefully with tears in her eyes. She looked fragile and aggrieved, as if Wen Ling had done something terrible to her.
Sun Changqing frowned. Although he didn't like Liu Xiuxiu, she was still a girl by his side. It would make him seem useless if she bullied him like this.
So he stepped forward to support the fragile Liu Xiuxiu, turned around and glared at Wen Ling, no longer shy and kind, "My classmate, we are just catching up with Fang Qing, why are you so aggressive?"
Wen Ling was filled with anger at what Sun Changqing said, "Where did you come from? My Qingqing is shy and doesn't like talking to strangers, let alone any old acquaintances!"

But Sun Changqing felt that he had been greatly humiliated, and he would never give up until he found Fang Qing and explained it clearly! He pushed away Liu Xiuxiu who kept talking in his ear and chased after him.
As Fang Qing pulled Wen Ling out of the store, they saw Wen Ning waiting on the roadside. But before Wen Ling could shout, Sun Changqing had already caught up with them, grabbed Fang Qing's arm and pulled him back.
Sun Changqing was like a madman at this moment, staring at Fang Qing, "Tell me clearly, what do you mean by not wanting this engagement? According to you, you don't like me at all? How am I, Sun Changqing, not worthy of you?"
Fang Qing staggered and before she could stand firmly, she was pulled into another embrace. As the world spun around, Fang Qing only noticed the fresh fragrance wafting from the soft fabric under her palms, which rushed into her nose and made her mind go blank.
Wen Ning snatched Fang Qing back and stuffed her into his sister's arms. He then stood in front of her and looked at Sun Changqing, who had a bad face. "I didn't expect that Sun, who is known for his gentleness and kindness, would be so rude in public."
"Wen Ning! What does this have to do with you? Get out of the way. I need to speak to her clearly!"
Wen Ning smiled faintly, turned to look at Fang Qing, and saw Fang Qing's face pale and shook his head, so he immediately stopped smiling, "Did you see? The girl doesn't want to talk to you. You are a member of the Sun School Committee and a three-good student. Don't lose face because of a momentary impulse."
Wen Ning's words gradually calmed Sun Changqing down. He gritted his teeth and looked at Fang Qing for a long time, thinking that since they were in the same school anyway, there would be plenty of opportunities to find her in the future. Only then did he turn around and leave despite Liu Xiuxiu's repeated urging.
On the way back, the three of them were silent.
Not long after arriving at the Wen family's home, Grandma Wang next door asked Wen Ling for help, leaving Wen Ning and Fang Qing alone in the room, sitting opposite each other awkwardly.
Although Fang Qing lowered her head, she always felt that someone was staring at her, which made her face turn redder and her head lower.
"Is this how you usually do your homework? Sit up straight. Good sitting posture is the best way to protect your eyesight."
Wen Ning looked at Fang Qing's little head that was almost buried in the book, and finally couldn't help but remind him. Seeing Fang Qing sitting up straight, he nodded and said, "Don't be naughty like Lingzi. You have good grades and will be admitted to a prestigious university in the future. Without good posture and eyesight, you will be far behind others."
It was the first time Fang Qing heard him talk so much at once. He poked his head out from behind the book and nodded seriously.
Wen Ning couldn't help but give many instructions again, until he saw Fang Qing's red face, he stopped talking, "What's wrong with you? Do you have a fever?"
Fang Qing shook her head awkwardly and could only explain that her face would be like this when it was frozen. It was not until Wen Ling came back that she breathed a sigh of relief.
When the clock on the wall struck eight, Fang Ming finally knocked on the door of the Wen family. But when the brother and sister returned home, they found the atmosphere at home was a little gloomy.
Father Fang Decai and mother sat on the sofa without saying a word. When they saw the children come back, they just waved their hands and told them to go to the kitchen to eat by themselves.
Listening to their parents sighing in the living room, the brother and sister were even more confused. Finally, their father couldn't help it and called Fang Qing to announce something.
"What? Break off the engagement? What right do they have?" Fang Ming shouted, but was immediately stopped by his father.
"Keep your voice down! Is this a good thing? If others hear it, it will just be gossip! I told you this so that you can be aware of it and not get too close to that family in the future! Even if my family is incompetent, we can't be spineless and let others look down on us!"
My father said he was so angry that he slammed the table, cursing the rumormonger for being shameless and saying that human nature is hard to predict.
The four members of the family, except Fang Qing, were all filled with anger, and Fang Ming even wanted to run to the Sun family to beat them up. Only Fang Qing had a calm face, went forward to pour a glass of water for his parents, and then spoke carefully.
"Dad, Mom, you don't have to be so angry. I actually knew about this a long time ago."
Fang Qing told her family what happened in the afternoon and explained it for a long time with great patience, finally convincing them that she didn't care about the engagement at all and that it would be a good thing to be able to regain her freedom.
