In the lecture hall of Capital University's Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a young, slicked-back teacher was engaged in a spirited lecture on the history of Chinese medicine and herbal medicine. His lecture was hollow and riddled with errors. Qingshan frowned as she listened. Just as she was about to collapse on the desk for a nap, Luo Wenyuan called. Qingshan seized the opportunity to grab her schoolbag and escape through the lecture hall's back door.
"Hey, Wen Yuan, what's going on?"
"Qingshan, come to the door, hurry up!"
Qingshan's heart trembled. Luo Wenyuan had been visiting her frequently lately, but never with such a serious tone as today. It seemed something was amiss. Qingshan hung up the phone and headed for the main entrance as fast as she could. Luo Wenyuan stood there, more recognizable than the black G-Class. Qingshan spotted him immediately and walked over to get in the car.
"Wen Yuan, what happened?"
Luo Wenyuan looked a little tired, with a blue stubble on his chin, and with his black special forces uniform, he had a kind of rugged sexiness.
"A Qilin agent is sick and needs your help. I was on my way back from a mission when I received a notification from Lao Bai, so I came straight to you. I don't know the specifics of the situation."
Qingshan felt sorry for Luo Wenyuan's unshaven, haggard appearance. He rubbed his head and quietly channeled some spiritual energy into him to help him relieve his fatigue. Luo Wenyuan coquettishly rubbed his head against Qingshan's hand, wasting no more time, stepped on the accelerator, and the G-Class sped off westward.
More than 20 minutes later, Luo Wenyuan drove into a famous garden area in the capital. Qingshan looked around with a puzzled expression:
"Wen Yuan, where are we going?"
Luo Wenyuan saw that her eyes were wide open like a little fox, and he felt itchy in his heart, and couldn't help but pinch Qingshan's face gently.
Ever since Qingshan discovered that Luo Wenyuan had the same temperament as Jupang, she had a special indulgence towards Luo Wenyuan and did not mind his behavior of touching her hands and pinching her face from time to time.
"The headquarters of the Qilin Special Forces."
"What? Here?"
"Well, I never thought of that."
Qingshan was silent. The most powerful special forces unit in China - Qilin Special Forces - was hiding in the city and in famous scenic spots. The special forces members with special powers were wandering under the noses of tens of thousands of tourists every day!
Luo Wenyuan took the Qilin special passage and drove the car into an underground entrance that looked like an air-raid shelter after twists and turns. Judging from the direction and angle of the car, they should have reached the bottom of Ming Lake.
As soon as Qingshan entered Qilin's command center, she was stunned by the wide variety of advanced instruments and equipment. The countless virtual screens and personal terminals that only appeared in science fiction movies dazzled her.
"Wow! Isn't this S.H.I.E.L.D."
"What's a squat game?" Bai Hezheng was followed by a girl with glasses holding a tablet computer. She walked towards Qingshan and Luo Wenyuan and just heard her sigh.
"Uh, nothing, Uncle Bai, what's the matter with you calling me here?"
Bai Hezheng made a gesture, indicating that they should follow.
"The afternoon before yesterday, an agent named Huang Xingchu returned to Qilin headquarters to hand in a mission. Unexpectedly, he fainted during the briefing, and headquarters immediately began to administer emergency treatment. Huang Xingchu's condition progressed rapidly. Yesterday, he was merely lethargic, but this morning he developed respiratory failure and a persistent high fever. He was rushed to the intensive care unit and is still in critical condition. Several healing psychics on the team were helpless, so I notified Wen Yuan to bring you in."
Qingshan frowned and was shocked: high fever... respiratory failure... could it be what I think?
"Uncle Bai, I want to know the detailed information about Huang Xingchu, especially the details of his mission, where he went, and who he came into contact with!"
The group had already arrived at the door of a meeting room, and Bai Hezheng nodded:
"The intelligence Huang Xingchu brought back is very important and has already attracted the attention of senior management. They've instructed Qilin to follow up on the clues Huang Xingchu provided. I'm just about to explain this in detail to Wen Yuan's team. Come and listen!"
