Chapter 255

As Qingshan shouted, a fist-sized object with a red shadow flew over from a distance and landed on Qingshan's shoulder with a "buzz".

"Master, the Lun family misses you so much!"

Qingshan touched the black and shiny carapace of Hongdeng, his eyes full of smiles.

"Deng'er, come meet our new friend! This is Yin'er. You'll live with us from now on. You're the eldest sister, so you have to act like one and not bully the younger ones. Got it?"

When Hongdeng heard that a new member had arrived in the family, she happily flew up from Qingshan's shoulder, hovered a foot in front of Yin'er's face, and looked at the big black wolfdog carefully.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, it's so dark—!"

Silver Ear and Red Lantern are both Qingshan's spiritual pets and can communicate with each other.

Silver Ear saw a fat red bug in front of him, with two ruby-like eyes staring at him. He found it interesting, so he stretched out his nose, moved forward, and sniffed the red light.

The red light flapped its wings with a "buzzing" sound, which scared Silver Ear. It lost its balance on its two and a half legs and almost fell.

"Hehehe, you are so stupid!"

Red Light's loli voice was full of excitement, fluttering around Silver Ear.

"My name is Hong Deng, and I'm also the master's pet. But I came in before you, so you have to call me Big Sister! If you're obedient, I'll share the fruits that the master grows with you. If you're not obedient, I'll beat you! Lulululu——!"

Qingshan held his forehead with his hand. This red light was actually a mechanical copy of Tuanzi’s lecture when he first started. There was no creativity at all!

"Deng'er, Yin'er can't talk, don't bully him! Where's Tuanzi?"

Hong Deng took a fancy to Tremella's furry fur, landed on its head, and rolled around comfortably.

"Brother Ruyi said he had something to do, and I don't know where he went!"

Qingshan frowned: Why has Ruyi suddenly become so busy recently that he doesn’t even play on the computer. Is he really devoted to Taoism?

Qingshan asked Hongdeng to take Yin'er for a walk in the space, while he went to sort out the herbs first, put the ripe ones into the Qiankun medicine cabinet, and took out the seeds to plant a new round.

They say, "Without mud, there can be no lotus." Yet, Qingshan tossed a lotus seed into the crystal-clear waters of the Spirit Pond, and it surprisingly flourished even more vigorously than in the medicinal fields. Round, emerald green lotus leaves practically covered the pond, while a graceful lotus with red petals and yellow stamens stretched gracefully out of the water. Condensation still clung to the petals, dripping down their curves and into the pond with a crisp, dinging sound.

Qingshan gathered the overgrown lotus leaves, pods, seeds, and roots and stored them in a medicine cabinet for use in making herbal medicine. Finally, the clear, tranquil surface of Lingtan emerged, leaving only two twin lotus flowers in one corner. Their fiery red petals and disc-like leaves complemented the elegant green bamboo, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

Qingshan twisted a large lotus pod, scooped out a seed, and chewed it. The sweet fragrance of the seed, combined with the bitterness of the lotus core, formed a unique flavor that spread throughout his mouth. The impetuous and resentful mood that had arisen in Qingshan from watching the fight also disappeared completely in this bitter fragrance.

Silver Ear carried Red Light and roamed the medicinal garden for a while, then ran to Qingshan's side and lay down beside her legs. Silver Ear didn't really like human touch, but she loved being close to Chen Qingshan. She had liked this even before she was a spirit pet, and now that they had a contract, she was even more attached to Qingshan.

Hong Deng lay with her six legs up in the air in the black fur of Silver Ear, and kept sighing in a loli voice: "Ah~~~~, it's so soft——!" (〃'▽'〃)

Qingshan fished out a piece of white lotus root as thick as his arm from the Lingtan Pond, broke it in two, gave the big one to Yin'er, and left the small one for Hongdeng.

Tremella held the big lotus root with its two front paws and chewed it like a bone, making a crunching sound, squinting its eyes and looking very enjoyable.
