Luo Shaohui had a bizarre dream. In it, he sat by the door of a helicopter, his feet a vast expanse of ocean. On the water, a large white ship, flying a red flag, was carrying a host of dark-haired, dark-eyed people, men, women, young and old, all supporting each other and huddled together, their faces tense. Behind the ship, a dozen speedboats sped toward them, their men, all menacing, their machine guns indiscriminately firing at the ship. With each volley, the civilians on the boats let out a cry of terror.
Luo Shaohui used the hatch machine gun to shoot at the speedboat to prevent them from chasing the large ship. With the air fire interception, the speedboat slowed down and the large ship finally gained enough time to sail out of the bay and into the high seas.
Just as the helicopter was preparing to take off and leave the sea area, Luo Shaohui felt a severe headache and fell out of the cabin door.
He saw his comrade leaning half of his body out, trying to reach out and grab him, but he was a second too late. The painful expression on his comrade's face gradually faded away, and the sea water rushed over and drowned Luo Shaohui.
It was unknown how long it had been before Luo Shaohui opened his eyes again. He was already in the deep ocean, with the azure and tranquil sea water above his head and a group of bottlenose dolphins swimming around him curiously.
The dolphins treated Luo Shaohui as one of their own kind and accepted him into the pod. They took turns using their snouts and backs to push him forward. Sometimes he would take the initiative to swim with the dolphins. When he got tired, he would hold onto the dolphins' dorsal fins to rest. They chased schools of sardines, avoided man-eating killer whales, and followed the ocean currents to travel halfway around the globe.
Luo Shaohui couldn't remember how long he had been soaking in the sea water. He only remembered that the water temperature changed from warm to cold, and then from cold back to warm.
His memory was sometimes hazy and sometimes confused. Most of the time, he was dazed and dull. Occasionally, there would be a moment of clarity, which would allow him to remember who he was. Every time this happened, he would separate from the dolphin group and wander the sea, looking for his way home. But before he could remember the route home, his memory would become confused again, and he would become a lonely soul wandering in the sea again.
A mother dolphin who had lost her calf seemed to treat him as a deformed baby dolphin and took good care of him. Whenever Luo Shaohui got lost, she would search for him relentlessly and bring him back to the protection of her pod.
Until one day, a group of dolphins and a group of sharks met, and a battle was inevitable. The sea water was boiling, blood mixed with minced meat blurred the vision, and the strong smell of blood gave Luo Shaohui a splitting headache. He once again left the dolphins' protection circle and wanted to return to his hometown according to the route he remembered.
At this moment, a four-meter-long great white shark opened its mouth wide and rushed towards the unsuspecting humans. The teeth in its mouth were as sharp as razors, which could easily tear off Luo Shaohui's thigh.
At the critical moment, the female dolphin came from the side like a cannonball, and its short snout pierced the shark's right cheek with a "bang" sound. The shark, in pain, let go of Luo Shaohui and turned to attack the female dolphin. The female dolphin was powerless under the attack of the white shark and soon had a large piece of flesh bitten off.
Seeing the dolphin's bloody wound, Luo Shaohui was furious. A tornado-like vortex engulfed the four-meter-long white shark, pulverizing it into pieces and throwing it into the swarm of sharks. The sharks scrambled for their comrade's body, while the dolphins took the opportunity to escape. Luo Shaohui also passed out, unresponsive to the mother dolphin's calls and ramming.
The female dolphin thought Luo Shaohui was dead, and let out sad cries. She swam around him for a long time before following the group into the Pacific Ocean to start a new round of migration.
Luo Shaohui drifted with the waves, was washed onto the soft sand beach, and set foot on an unfamiliar continent.
