Qingshan made a startling statement to attract the attention of Duncan and W, while secretly letting out a red light to go out to do some business. His expression was natural and casual. After the wine-red shadow disappeared outside the window, Qingshan slowly replied, "How can it be impossible! I am a healing psychic. It is no exaggeration to say that my healing ability is the strongest in China!"
Luo Wenyuan and Luo Shaohui agreed with Qingshan's words from the bottom of their hearts, but it scared Duncan and W.
The Bureau of Special Abilities possesses a type of psychic called a Shapeshifter, capable of transforming into anyone else's appearance at will, even mimicking their voice. These individuals are natural spies, allowing the Bureau to easily steal confidential intelligence from other countries, including the Chinese Qilin. However, since over a year ago, the Shapeshifters sent to China have not returned, leaving the Bureau's knowledge of Qilin's internal affairs largely stagnant.
Isn't the current Qilin Commander-in-Chief, Bai Hezheng, the top healer in China? When was he replaced? Was it because of the super virus incident? Duncan and W exchanged a glance, each seeing disbelief in the other's eyes.
"Thirteen years ago, Mr. Luo Shaohui was attacked by pirates and fell into the sea, drifting to Venice Beach. Shot in the head, he lost his memory and speech, and has been wandering the beach for so many years. Mr. Luo is a Chinese citizen, a hero who fought against pirates, and also a victim of their atrocities. He came to the United States due to force majeure, not of his own free will. Over the past decade, your American police have patrolled the coast thousands of times, yet not a single one has raised any suspicions about the identity of this suddenly appearing Oriental homeless man, let alone reported him to the Chinese Embassy to verify his information. As a result, Mr. Luo did not receive timely medical assistance, and he spent more than a decade living a homeless life in the United States, separated from his family and friends. Isn't this a dereliction of duty on the part of your American police?"
Luo Shaohui had a blank expression on his face, but his fists, clenched till they turned white, revealed his inner excitement, while Inspector W stared at Qingshan gloomily, without revealing much sympathy in his eyes.
Duncan stuffed his lollipop back into his mouth and mumbled something about his teammates: "Those police are busy finding lost cats and dogs for the wealthy in Angel City. How can they care about where a homeless person on the beach came from?"
Inspector W glared at Duncan fiercely, mentally cursing the loudmouth. Unfortunately, Duncan's predictions were so powerful that even the president praised him highly. Even with his often outrageous statements and erratic behavior, he was still able to gain a foothold in the Supernatural Bureau, becoming a well-paid deputy director with a leisurely job. It was truly infuriating!
"A Chinese citizen, after being exiled to the United States, not only did he not receive freedom, democracy, and equal treatment, but was instead shot and killed by American police while trying to explain his identity. How tragic and lamentable!"
"We Chinese have an old saying, 'Everything goes around in the dark.' Mr. Luo shouldn't have died. We were able to save him. Although I have healing powers, I'm sure Mr. Duncan has heard of the difficulty of snatching someone from the clutches of death. I won't go into the details."
"I've explained so much just to tell you, Mr. Smith, that my uncle seems fine, not because of your God's blessing, nor because the American police have poor marksmanship. It's because I paid a heavy price for your mistakes! Not only did you refuse to apologize or compensate us for our emotional and physical losses, but you're actually the first to file a complaint. Because we were 'forced' to use our superpowers for self-defense, which violated the regulations of the Superpower Bureau, you're threatening to deport us. Is this the human rights, democracy, and equality you've always championed? It's ridiculous!"
