Seeing the zombies go berserk, the fire-type ability user wasn't too nervous and continued throwing fireballs methodically.
A string of fireballs was thrown at the advanced zombie, followed by a series of crackling sounds as it was set ablaze.
Fire-based abilities are the bane of zombies. This zombie is really unlucky; of all people to choose, it chose to fight a fire-based ability user. Nothing good can come of that.
However, seeking help from others is also unlikely to bring any good results.
The Mad Lion Squad members were all around them. Water-type dragons, water balls, and water swords were constantly being used to attack the zombies; metal-type swords, golden balls, and golden throwing knives were flying towards the zombies; and earth-type spikes, earth cones, and earth balls were being thrown into the zombie horde.
Those Xiaoxiao were either strangled by the water dragon, had their hands and feet cut off by the golden sword, or had their chests pierced by earth spikes; none of them were unharmed.
Both teams played very well and cooperated equally well.
"Captain Zhang, since we're already together, I won't say any more. How about we rest together afterwards, Amin?"
"So what? You weren't being polite to us either, why should we hold a grudge?"
Yu Yanbin, who had just become famous for killing zombies, turned to Zhang Kaisheng's side and happened to mention it to him.
Zhang Kaisheng was not a narrow-minded person, and he had no objection to Yu Yanbin's words, so he readily agreed.
"Then it's settled. Let's put in some extra effort and clear out a wave?"
Yu Yanbin was very satisfied with Zhang Kaisheng's words. This man looked honest, but he was quite clear-headed and not the kind of person who was stubborn.
“Alright,” Zhang Kaisheng said without hesitation, turning to his teammates and saying, “Everyone, give it your all and get some rest afterwards.”
"Okay."
There aren't many zombies left outside the gate now; if we keep going, we can clear them out quickly. It will take some time before they all gather together.
Everyone ruthlessly unleashed their superpowers on the zombies, and one by one they fell to the ground.
The wood-type ability user dragged the fallen zombies behind him, inserted vines into their heads, dug out the crystals if they were there, and simply rolled them up and threw them outside the yard if they weren't. Everything was done smoothly and in perfect harmony.
Li Xiao felt there was nothing for her to do, so she stood at the back and watched for a while. Finding nothing was wrong, she returned to the first floor of the backyard.
It's almost time for dinner now. They'll come back and eat after they've dealt with all the zombies.
The two teams are playing together today, and they might have dinner together later.
Li Xiao thought for a moment and decided it would be better not to serve anything too outrageous today.
So she only took out a few jars of pickled vegetables, a few jars of chili sauce, a few boxes of instant noodles, and a few boxes of bottled water.
I haven't had instant noodles in so long, I should have some today.
If we don't have enough later, we can get some more multigrain steamed buns. As long as it's not too overpowering, there shouldn't be any problem.
Spatial abilities are already common knowledge, so there's no point in hiding them. It doesn't matter if the Mad Lion Squad finds out if we need to retrieve something later.
After putting his things away, Li Xiao went out of the yard to check on the battle situation.
There are many people, and they are all superhumans, so their speed is really fast.
In just a short time, the 40 or 50 zombies gathered outside have been almost completely wiped out, with only a few remaining.
Seeing that not many zombies were gathering again, Yu Yanbin opened the door and rushed out, killing all the zombies within a hundred meters radius.
Looking at the zombie corpses scattered on the ground, everyone felt a sense of satisfaction.
I'm always the one being chased by zombies, but today I'm the one chasing and killing them. It's so exhilarating!
The two groups looked at each other and burst into laughter.
Meng Yang and the other wood-type ability users disposed of the zombies on the ground and piled them up at the crossroads at one end of the hospital. They threw a firecracker at them, and flames instantly ignited.
On both sides were towering mountains of zombies, burning with flames billowing black smoke, which was quite eye-catching.
It's good that we're blocking this intersection; at least it's lunchtime now. This will at least give them some time to finish their meal.
"Fortunately, it hasn't rained these past few days."
"Yeah, it's just annoying when it's cloudy and there's no sun."
"Didn't you say before that anything was fine as long as it wasn't sun exposure?"
"Uh, did I say that?"
"No?"
"…………"
The group talked as they looked at the rising black smoke. The already gloomy sky was now completely filled with black smoke every day.
Ever since Yu Yanbin and his group started burning these zombie corpses, the sky has never been bright for a moment.
Every day, the sky above them was filled with thick black smoke, making it incredibly dark.
It was a little better after a few days of rain, but it returned to normal after the rain stopped.
This also meant that the black smoke could be seen from a great distance. It also alerted many teams of superhumans who came out to kill zombies that there were people in the area.
Later, I don't know if it was because they learned it from them or because they also thought it was better to burn the zombies, but black smoke started to come out from other places as well.
There's black smoke everywhere in Yingzhou now; it's really spreading all over the place, like everyone's out on a mission.
Yu Yanbin and his men were well aware of this; finding a place with a lot of zombies was difficult these days. They were incredibly lucky to have found this place ahead of time. They could keep fighting here for a few more days, and at least the hospital hadn't been taken yet.
The Mad Lion Squad was also very fortunate that they had encountered the Rising Sun Squad here. If it were their team, they really wouldn't have had the courage to stay behind alone.
Zhang Kaisheng felt truly lucky to have met them.
