By the time she finished cooking, it was already past five in the afternoon.
She thought she would just eat at home today so she wouldn't have to fight for a seat in the cafeteria.
Just as she had brought out the food and was about to eat, there was a knock on the door.
She didn't lock the door, it was just ajar, and she saw Jiang Ling standing outside through the crack.
So he walked over, opened the door, and asked, "Why are you here at this hour? Isn't the army busy anymore?"
Jiang Ling hummed, and seeing that she was eating, he asked, "Did you cook the meal yourself?"
Ma Xiao'e nodded and said, "I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get food in the cafeteria, so I just cooked for myself. This way it would be easier."
After she finished speaking, she looked at Jiang Ling and subconsciously asked, "Have you eaten? Do you want to eat something?"
She originally just wanted to say something polite, but she didn't expect Jiang Ling to say "OK", then walked in and sat down opposite her.
Seeing this, Ma Xiao'e had no choice but to go to the kitchen and serve him another bowl of rice.
Fortunately, she cooked a little more food, which was enough for the two of them.
Jiang Ling picked up a piece of dish cooked by Ma Xiaoe with chopsticks and put it into his mouth. Unexpectedly, it tasted really good.
So he ate the dish in front of him and quickly finished a bowl of rice.
Ma Xiao'e was stunned when she saw this. She didn't expect him to eat so fast.
Then he looked at his bowl and saw that half of it was still in his bowl.
She originally thought that Jiang Ling would leave after eating, but she didn't expect that he would just sit opposite her and watch her finish her meal, with no intention of leaving.
"Do you have anything else to do?" she had no choice but to ask.
Jiang Ling nodded, then leaned forward, looked at Ma Xiao'e seriously, and asked, "There is indeed something. I came here to ask you, how do you feel about me?"
