Chapter 152 There Must Be an Explanation

After dinner, Ling Ju went out for a stroll in the courtyard with Song Qi and then went back to rest.

After Song Qi came back, she looked at Song Qi's face carefully. He must have not had a good rest for a long time. She felt a little guilty for making him work so hard in the afternoon.

Looks like I need to give him some good nourishment tonight.

Song Qi spent a peaceful night. He felt that he slept very well. In his dream, his whole body felt as comfortable as soaking in a hot spring.

It is no longer the hot and humid weather of the southwest, but a comfortable, cool and moderately warm weather that makes the body and mind feel relaxed.

When he woke up in the morning, he felt alive again, and all his fatigue had gone away.

He guessed that it must be something the girl did last night.

Seeing that it was still early, he washed up and went downstairs.

Unexpectedly, Song Xin and Zhen Zhen were already up. The two girls were exercising in the yard, doing something very similar to radio gymnastics. When they saw him come out, they greeted him separately.

"Why don't you get some more sleep, brother? It's not even seven o'clock yet."

Song Qi sat on a small stool next to him, "I can't sleep. Why do you two get up so early every day?"

"Yeah, exercise."

Song Xin and Zhen Zhen finally finished their conversation and pulled a bench to sit on.

Yesterday, Song Zhiguo told him that during the time Ling Ju was hospitalized, Song Xin and Zhen Zhen had been accompanying her in the hospital, and had hardly caused any worries to her family. He also emphasized to him that Ling Ju's condition at the time was indeed not serious, so his anger dissipated.

Looking at his energetic sister, Song Qi was happy from the bottom of his heart.

"Song Xin has a task for you. Go out and buy two pounds of milk for your second brother."

Song Xin looked at the ten yuan that Song Qi took out and said, "You don't need that much money to buy milk, right, second brother?"

"The rest is just the running fee."

Song Xin quickly grabbed the money and said, "Don't worry, second brother! I promise to complete the task!"

The two girls went out to buy milk with a smile on their faces. Song Qi got up and returned to the house. He found that the elders had also gotten up, so he went straight to the kitchen.

When Song Zhiguo went to get some water, he found out that it was Song Qi who was cooking, not Song Xin. He was a little worried that the food would not taste good, having completely forgotten that Song Qi had learned to cook before Song Xin.

Song Qi didn't even glance at Song Zhiguo, "Don't worry, it won't kill you."

Song Zhiguo, "......" He was scolded by the brat again. But, this brat is quite humane.

"Okay, go ahead and make it. I want fried eggs. Fry a few more. My daughter-in-law likes them too. By the way, Miss Zhen doesn't like eggs. Make something else."

Song Qi sighed and said, "That's fine. His father can now see that Zhen Zhen doesn't like to eat eggs, let alone Zhen girl."

He rummaged through the refrigerator and found frozen dumplings and wontons in the freezer, as well as two bowls of leftover rice and ham from last night.

He ended up making a large plate of ham, egg, carrot fried rice, wontons, and ten fried eggs.

When Song Qi came back, he used the milk that Song Xin bought to make a big pot of milk tea, and flavored it with sugar from the sugar jar. It tasted very good.

After finishing the meal, I was about to go upstairs to call Ling Ju, but she came down by herself. Seeing Song Qi wearing an apron and serving dishes, she was so happy that she could eat the meal cooked by Song Qi today.

"Wow, it's so rich. There's ham in the fried rice, coriander and chopped green onions in the wontons, and there are so many fried eggs!" She sighed. This amount is only because the Song family is big, otherwise they would not be able to finish it!

"Everyone, please sit down and have breakfast." Song Qiangjun said.

"You guys eat, I have to go to the army as something urgent happened! What a pity, Dad won't be able to enjoy the fried eggs my second son made today." Song Zhiguo felt sorry that he didn't get to eat the fried eggs he asked for.

"Okay, go ahead. I'll save the fried eggs for you to eat when you come back in the evening." Song Xin joked, and was glared at by Song Zhiguo.

Song Xin laughed out loud.

The family officially started to eat. Song Xin first served a bowl of wontons to each of her grandparents, and was about to serve Ling Ju, but she didn't expect that Song Qi had already served it. She forgot that her second sister-in-law's husband had returned and she didn't need to take care of him.

So she turned around and said, "Mom, Zhenzhen, do you two want wontons or fried rice?"

Chen Chun said he wanted to eat wontons, "I also want to drink some milk tea." Song Xin quickly poured a large cup for Chen Chun.

Zhen Zhen glanced at the golden fried rice. "Even though I don't like eggs, this looks delicious. I want some fried rice! And it has ham and carrots in it, I quite like it!"

"Okay, we're on the same page. I'll have fried rice too. Do you want some simple food?"

Zhen Zhen nodded, "Fried eggs are fine!"

Song Xin happily picked up one for Zhen Zhen and one for himself, and poured two cups of milk tea.

"Brother, how much did you fry? It's such a thick layer!"

Song Qi stacked the fried eggs into ten layers, "Ten."

After he finished speaking, he picked up two for Ling Ju.

Basically, when Song Qi was around, Ling Ju didn't have to pick up the food herself.

Song Qi can remember all the food she likes to eat, and no one in the Song family thinks that Song Qi's behavior is bad. On the contrary, if Song Qi does not pick up food for her, the elders in the family will tell Song Qi not to just eat by himself.

So Ling Ju had long been accustomed to being taken care of by Song Qi during meals.

While eating, Ling Ju suddenly thought of Yin. Since Chen Chun and Song Qi were here for a few days, she thought about taking them to Yin's cafe.

It seems I need to communicate with Song Qi after dinner.

When something was on my mind, I ate faster. I finished a bowl of wontons very quickly, sprinkled some garlic chili sauce on the fried eggs, and ate one in two bites. After finishing the food, I gulped down a large cup of milk tea. I ate like a tiger.

"I'm done eating. Grandpa, grandma, mom, you guys take your time eating. I'm going to go down the table and take a walk. I'm a little full."

"Go ahead."

Song Qi also quickly finished his meal and went to accompany Ling Ju.

Ling Ju winked at him and then pulled him to the yard.

"Song Qi, there's something I almost forgot to tell you. Yin opened a cafe near Wangfujing. Last time, Sun Yun and I accidentally discovered it while shopping after having hot pot."

Song Qi was not surprised. Judging from his expression, Ling Ju probably knew it a long time ago.

"I know this. We have people following him secretly and know his every move."

Ling Ju wasn't surprised. "Do you want to meet with him? There has to be a conclusion to the pocket watch issue."

Song Qi pondered for a moment, "I'll talk to Mom about this later and see what she thinks. The biggest problem right now is that Mom doesn't know much information. Grandpa and Grandma are no longer alive, and Mom doesn't have many brothers, sisters, or relatives. This makes it difficult to move forward. Besides, Yin doesn't seem to know much either."

Ling Ju knew that the matter seemed to be stuck here. "Okay, I'll listen to you, but don't forget to mention that the coffee he makes over there is pretty good. We can go have a cup later."

"Okay, as long as you like. But you must not travel alone. Let Song Xin and Zhen Zhen accompany you. Although there are people protecting you in secret, you still need to be vigilant."
