After Song Qi left, Ling Ju didn't feel uncomfortable living alone in the empty house. It was almost the same as living in Ling Yong's room.
I never thought I'd get married at 19, and it would be such a ridiculous marriage. The groom was away on a business trip on the first day of the wedding. We didn't even say a few words.
Song Qi was quiet and somewhat unwilling to pay attention to her. She felt that after all, whoever ruined her relationship would not be treated well by anyone, so it was unexpected that Song Qi did not lose his temper.
In the afternoon, I worked on half an acre of land with Hongying. My waist was so tired that I went home, took a shower and lay down on the bed.
But I found something on Song Qi's desk, shining brightly in the setting sun. I looked over and saw a small desk lamp, a notebook and an old pocket watch on it. The thing reflecting the light was an old pocket watch.
When she picked up the pocket watch and looked at it carefully, she suddenly had a strange feeling in her mind. This pocket watch seemed to have some magic to her. She didn't want to put it down after getting it in her hand. But it was just a broken pocket watch?
A trace of cool air entered his body through the pocket watch, and Ling Ju felt as if all the fatigue in his body had dissipated, and he felt extremely comfortable.
Oh my god, she doesn’t have any special powers! She kept stroking the pocket watch with her hands, and a strange feeling came to her mind. It turned out that the pocket watch recognized her as its master!
The pocket watch told her that she was its owner!
Ling Ju was completely shocked, unable to recover from her shock as she held the pocket watch. What on earth was going on? Did she have supernatural powers?
I just felt extremely comfortable at this moment. The heat from working all day was gone, and the hunger was gone too.
So amazing!
But this is Song Qi's thing! He put the pocket watch back to its place, lay on the bed, and fell into a deep sleep without realizing it.
The next morning, Ling Ju woke up on time, washed up, and decided to go to the cafeteria to have breakfast.
I chose a seat, had a bowl of millet porridge, a boiled egg, and pickles, and just as I sat down, I felt like going to the bathroom. I hurried back from the bathroom, only to see Zheng Pingping's resentful eyes, not far away across from me. But two seconds later, they turned into a smile that looked malicious.
Ling Ju decided to finish her meal quickly and leave. Alas, the porridge today tasted a bit strange.
After taking the medicine at home, I went to find Hongying. Also traveling with us today was Political Commissar Wang’s wife, Liu Lin.
I don't have to go to the fields today. I was taken to the kitchen to help trim the potatoes in the back. Logically, the regiment commander and the political commissar's wife don't have to do this at all, but they told her that they felt they were just sitting there doing nothing, so they might as well do something.
The three of them sat there repairing potatoes when Ling Ju suddenly felt a slight stomachache. It started out as a spasm, infrequent, but then became more intense, and cold sweat broke out on her forehead. Her stomach ached again, and she needed to go to the bathroom.
"Sister-in-law, where is the toilet? My stomach suddenly hurts a little."
"You'll see it if you go out this door. Go quickly."
Ling Ju put down the potatoes and ran to the toilet. As soon as he took off his pants, he felt that he couldn't stop and ran away.
I squatted for a long time, washed my hands again and went back to pick potatoes. Unexpectedly, I had just sat down for less than five minutes when I felt severe abdominal pain again and ran to the toilet.
After running back and forth seven or eight times in an hour, I was almost exhausted and cold sweat was oozing from my forehead.
Hongying also noticed something was wrong, "Did Orange eat something bad?"
"I didn't eat last night. I ate in the cafeteria this morning. That shouldn't be the case. It could be that the Chinese medicine I took helped me eliminate waste."
"Have you been taking medicine recently? Are you feeling unwell?" Liu Lin asked.
"It's not that I always have things growing on my face, and my menstruation is irregular. The last time I went to the county town, I was prescribed a Chinese medicine."
"If Miss Ling feels unwell, please go back first. Sister Hongying and I will be here."
Hongying also agreed, "Okay, sisters-in-law, I'll go back first."
On the way back to the dormitory, I met Zheng Pingping again.
She walked over with a malicious look on her face, "Feel good, you fat pig! Sister will help you lose weight."
Ling Ju immediately got angry, "Well, Zheng Pingping, you actually dared to give me a laxative."
"What about laxatives? You're also giving my man aphrodisiacs! As long as you don't leave Song Qi, I'll target you. You fat pig, I'm telling you, Song Qi is mine!"
After saying this, he walked away in a big voice.
Ling Ju looked at Zheng Pingping's back and said, "Very good. I didn't want to cause trouble, but you brought this upon yourself."
When I returned to the dormitory, I unconsciously thought of the pocket watch again. I put the pocket watch in my hand, and the energy entered my body little by little. I immediately felt much more comfortable and my stomach hurt less.
Could this pocket watch be used to treat illnesses? To assist with medical treatment?
I didn't go to the cafeteria for lunch. I made some porridge and fried some cabbage and ate it. I took a nap in the afternoon and woke up to find it was completely dark. Zheng Pingping, you are doomed.
I took a sack to the pigpen and prepared to shovel some pig manure and throw it in front of Zheng Pingping's house, but I found a huge rat nearby, caught in a mousetrap. I mentally prepared myself for a while, endured the nausea and fear, and put the rat tightly in the bag.
Zheng Pingping does not live in the staff housing complex, but in a dormitory next to the canteen, a row of bungalows.
I tiptoed to Zheng Pingping's window. It was already dark and she was asleep. I gently pushed the window open and vaguely saw someone lying on the bed inside. I put the rat in my hand through the window, closed it tightly, and then stepped back. I found a secluded place to listen.
Within five minutes, Zheng Pingping's loud scream was heard, and then the lights in several houses were turned on. Ling Ju quickly fled the scene without being noticed.
I went home, lay down on the bed and had a good sleep.
When I got up in the morning and went to the cafeteria for breakfast, I saw Zheng Pingping with two big dark circles under her eyes. I was so happy.
