The girl didn't back down because of Dai Xingyun's coldness. Instead, she took a few steps forward and called out softly again, "Student Dai?"
Seeing this, Dai Xingyun's expression grew even more unpleasant. He turned his head impatiently and asked irritably, "Who are you?"
The girl was clearly not expected Dai Xingyun to be so indifferent. She seemed to be frightened and staggered back a step, her smile vanishing instantly.
After a long while, she stammered, "I...I am Wan Lier from the Finance Department."
"I don't know you. What do you want from me?" Dai Xingyun's tone remained sharp, showing no respect for the other party.
"N-nothing, I'm leaving now," Wan Lier said, her eyes red-rimmed. She turned and ran away, but if you wanted to chase her, you could catch up in two steps.
Shen Xiaoxiao crossed her arms and looked at Dai Xingyun, while Dai Xingyun stared longingly at Shen Xiaoxiao.

Shen Xiaoxiao wasn't really angry. Hearing Dai Xingyun's words, her mood immediately improved.
She thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "I want to eat Xu Ji's shrimp. I had it once last time, and I really liked the taste."
“Okay, let’s go to Xu’s for shrimp now.” Dai Xingyun agreed without hesitation.
The two went to Xu Ji's restaurant together and enjoyed a delicious lunch.
After finishing their meal, they chatted for a while longer, and time flew by.
When they returned to school, it was already past 1 p.m.
Dai Xingyun and Shen Xiaoxiao passed by the Finance Department, but he insisted on taking Shen Xiaoxiao to the entrance of the Medical Department.
"I have a lot of classes this afternoon, so I might not be able to accompany you. Is it okay if you go back to your place by yourself after class?" Dai Xingyun said apologetically to Shen Xiaoxiao.
"It's okay, you go ahead and do your thing. I can manage on my own," Shen Xiaoxiao replied understandingly.
Dai Xingyun glanced at his watch and realized it was getting late, so he said to Shen Xiaoxiao, "I'll go now, you need to study hard. I'll take you out for something delicious after class tonight."
Shen Xiaoxiao smiled and nodded, watching Dai Xingyun leave.
She took a deep breath, adjusted her mindset, and regained the focus and concentration she had during class.
She listened very attentively during this lesson.
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, a day has passed.
"Xingyun! After you and Xiaoxiao bring the person back, take them straight home. Our family can take this opportunity to treat them well."
"Besides, they took such good care of you in the countryside, we should thank them properly!" Grandma Dai said earnestly, holding Dai Xingyun's hand.
Dai Xingyun smiled and nodded, helping Grandma Dai sit down on the sofa, and then said softly, "Grandma, don't worry."
"Your aunt and uncle just got off the train today. They must be exhausted from their journey. They probably need to rest and unpack first. I think they might come to visit you and Grandpa again tomorrow."
Grandma Dai listened and thought Dai Xingyun's words made sense, so she smiled and said, "Yes, that's true. Then let's visit them after they've finished getting ready; that would be more polite."
“Okay, I will definitely tell Uncle and Aunt.” Dai Xingyun readily agreed.
As he spoke, he picked up the car keys from the table and greeted Grandma Dai, "Grandma, I'm off now!" Before he finished speaking, he had already stepped towards the door.
"Drive carefully on the road!" Grandma Dai reminded her worriedly.
Dai Xingyun nodded and replied, "I understand, Grandma, don't worry!" Then, he opened the car door, got into the driver's seat, started the car, and sped towards the courtyard.
Before long, Dai Xingyun arrived at the courtyard house.
He parked his car, walked to the door, and gently knocked.
"Knock knock knock..." The knocking sound was crisp and rhythmic.
A moment later, light footsteps came from inside the door, and then the door was slowly opened, revealing Shen Xiaoxiao's figure.
"Wait a moment, I'll go grab my bag and be right back," Shen Xiaoxiao said with a smile to Dai Xingyun, then turned and quickly ran into the house.
Watching her departing figure, Dai Xingyun couldn't help but smile and said softly, "It's still early, no need to rush."
Despite what Dai Xingyun said, Shen Xiaoxiao quickly grabbed her bag and rushed out.
She closed the gate behind her and put the key in her bag before finally letting out a sigh of relief.
Seeing this, Dai Xingyun quickly stepped forward, opened the passenger door, and smiled at Shen Xiaoxiao, saying, "Get in the car quickly."
Shen Xiaoxiao thanked her and gracefully got into the passenger seat.
After closing the car door, Dai Xingyun returned to the driver's seat, fastened his seatbelt, and asked with concern, "Have you had breakfast?"
Shen Xiaoxiao smiled a little embarrassedly and replied, "I haven't had a chance to eat yet."
Dai Xingyun shook his head helplessly and sighed, "You never take good care of yourself. Skipping breakfast is bad for your stomach. What will you do if your stomach gets upset?"
"Don't worry, I've always taken care of myself. Even if I don't eat breakfast every morning, I won't have stomach problems," Shen Xiaoxiao said proudly.
Looking at her confident demeanor, Dai Xingyun couldn't help but smile slightly and said gently, "I know you are a good doctor. You are a doctor yourself, so you should take even better care of your body."
His voice revealed his concern for Shen Xiaoxiao.

The car continued on its way, and after driving for a while, it suddenly stopped without warning.
Shen Xiaoxiao looked around in surprise and realized that this was not a train station, which made her feel a little confused.
She turned to look at Dai Xingyun and asked, "Why did we stop here?"
Dai Xingyun smiled and explained, "Wait here for me, I'll go buy you breakfast."
After saying that, he got out of the car without hesitation and walked toward a nearby shop.
As Shen Xiaoxiao watched Dai Xingyun's departing figure, a warm feeling welled up in her heart.
She originally wanted to say that missing a meal wasn't a big deal, but she swallowed the words back, not wanting to dampen the man's enthusiasm.
Not long after, Dai Xingyun returned carrying a bag of things.
He quickly got into the car, handed the breakfast to Shen Xiaoxiao, and said with a smile, "Eat it while it's hot, there's still plenty of time. We'll leave after you finish eating."
