Chapter 29 Lucky Audience
Tian Xin didn't expect Lin Zhou to follow her.
When several people got in the car together, Lin Zhou sat in the passenger seat to avoid embarrassment.
The three people behind were silent all the way, and no one spoke.
"Where are you working, buddy?" Gao Cheng, probably feeling the atmosphere was a bit awkward, broke the silence.
"Copper City!"
"what for?"
"Building materials!"
"Building materials?" Gao Cheng exclaimed in surprise. "Very good, very good! The real estate market has been booming these past two years, and your industry is booming! Which company are you in?"
"Need you to tell me that? Our Lin Zhou opened his own company! He is the boss!" Liang Xiao suddenly interrupted.
"Tsk!" Lin Zhou frowned and looked back.
Tian Xin had no expression on her face as she rested in the back seat with her eyes closed. She had a habit of falling asleep in the car.
"Oh! That's great!" Gao Cheng said, "You've started a company at such a young age. You have a bright future ahead of you. That's amazing!"
"Don't say that!" Lin Zhou said modestly: "What about you?"
"Oh, it's me! I make specialties!" said Gao Cheng.
"Good!"
Lin Zhou was a man of few words, and it was easy for him to run out of conversation. After a few words, the carriage fell silent.
Tian Xin was sleeping soundly in the back. When they arrived at the place, Gao Wen called her twice before waking her up.
"Ah? We're here!" She opened her eyes and saw Lin Zhou's coat covering her.
There was no one in the car anymore.
The fresh scent of mint came into her nostrils along with her clothes. She clutched her clothes, stood up and got out of the car.
Lin Zhou was only wearing a thin sweater and was waiting for her on the side of the road.
She walked over and put the clothes on him: "Put them on, don't catch a cold!"
The concert was held in a theater in the city. The atmosphere was solemn and dignified. The performer was a foreign performer whom Tian Xin admired very much.
When she was in college, she joined clubs, studied singing and piano, and was particularly passionate about music.
A few people bought tickets and entered the inner hall, but the seats were almost full. Tickets for this kind of performance are pre-sold and must be purchased in advance. People like them who came directly on the day of the performance could not buy consecutive seats.
The remaining scattered seats are either in very remote locations or very expensive.
Lin Zhou saw that there were a few empty seats in the front row, so he ran to the ticket office to exchange his tickets for individual seats. Several people sat in a row in the front row.
On the far right is Gao Cheng, and from the left are Gao Wen, Tian Xin, Lin Zhou, and Liang Xiao.
After sitting down, a few people didn't say anything and waited for the performance to begin.
The melodious sound of the piano rang out, and several classical pieces were performed wonderfully by the performers, sometimes solemn and dignified, sometimes melodious and graceful, making the listeners intoxicated and soul-stirring.
After the song ended, the whole audience stood up and applauded, erupting into thunderous applause that lasted for a long time...
During the intermission, Tian Xin and Gao Cheng had a chat.
"I heard that you are a village official now?" Gao Cheng asked.
"Yeah, that's right!"
"Are you making special products? I heard Gao Wen say you were looking for a merchant."
"Yes, I was looking for it a few days ago, but now it's solved!"
"Then you should have told me earlier! My family makes this, so why don't we just put it on the shelf and sell it to you?" Gao Cheng said generously.
"Thank you, but not for now! However, if this time next year..." Tian Xin glanced at Gao Wen: "You know what I mean, right?"
Gao Cheng didn’t understand!
"What? You mean next year? Sure, bring it here so I can see it. As long as it's in good condition, I'll take as many as you have!"
"That's quite generous!" Tian Xin said with a smile: "What a pity..."
"ah?"
"Why doesn't he understand?" Tian Xin leaned close to Gao Wen's ear and asked in a low voice.
Gao Wen blushed and said, "I don't know either."
"Are you making specialties?" Lin Zhou asked.
"Yes!" Tian Xin responded: "To help the villagers increase their income!"
"What do you need me to do? Just..."
"It's solved!" Tian Xin turned around and smiled: "Thank you!"
"Tsk!" Liang Xiao rolled his eyes at Tian Xin and muttered, "What's so great about that!"
The second half was an interactive session. The staff randomly selected a lucky audience member, who could then select a classic piece from the big screen, which would be played by the performer and given to someone they liked.
The atmosphere was lively. A set of numbers was scrolling on the big screen. The host randomly called a stop, and the number it stopped at was the seat number.
The first lucky audience member ordered a song "Butterfly Lovers" and gave it to his girlfriend who was with him, successfully confessing his love on the spot.
Gao Cheng's eyes lit up after reading it, and he secretly hoped that good luck would come to him.
As the second round began, the whole audience was extremely nervous.
As the host shouted "stop", the numbers 0312 remained on the screen.
All eyes turned to the third row.
Liang Xiao patted Lin Zhou in surprise and shouted, "It's you, Lin Zhou, 0312 is your seat."
“…”
"Come on, please invite the friend in seats 0312 to come to the stage!" the host shouted to the audience with the microphone.
Lin Zhou stood up, glanced at Tian Xin, and strode towards the stage.
Liang Xiao excitedly stood up and looked at Lin Zhou's back, imagining what kind of song Lin Zhou would give him? Would he confess his love to her on the spot? If he did, she would immediately agree to it.
"Which song would this gentleman like to order and for whom would he like to dedicate it?" The host turned the microphone to Lin Zhou.
"I... want to order a song... 'Yearning Across Time and Space', for someone... whom I have missed for a... very long time." Lin Zhou's voice was soft but with a touch of sadness, and he looked towards the seat with deep affection.
Liang Xiao was so excited that she shed tears and kept waving to Lin Zhou.
Gao Wen rolled her eyes at her.
Gao Cheng glanced at Lin Zhou, then glanced in the direction he was looking. Not sure who he was looking at, he whispered to Gao Wen, "Who is this person he's talking about?"
"Need I ask? Of course it's Tian Xin!" Gao Wen whispered to Gao Cheng.
Tian Xin didn't notice this scene. She was replying to a text message: Zhang Shuai hadn't seen her for a few days and asked her when she would come back!
"Oh, is the person you miss here today?" the host asked again.
"...She's here." Lin Zhou hesitated for a moment, then raised his head and said firmly: "She's here!"
"Oh? On site? Then where is she sitting?"
"Right next to me..." Lin Zhou approached the host and said a set of numbers.
"Okay, lighting engineer, please turn the lights on the person this gentleman misses the most—the lady sitting in seat 0311."
“Pah—pah—pah!”
After a burst of rapid noises, the audience seats suddenly darkened, and everyone held their breath. In a split second, a beam of dazzling white light struck Tian Xin.
"Wow—" There was a burst of warm applause at the scene, and all eyes turned to Tian Xin.
Tian Xin hadn't finished replying to her text message when Zhang Shuai kept nagging her with questions. She was about to scold him when the surroundings suddenly darkened. She looked up and found herself sitting under a single light.
What's going on?
She put away her phone and looked towards the stage.
Lin Zhou stood on the stage, looking at her affectionately. She only took one look at him before turning her head away, not having the courage to look a second time...
This young boy...what is he going to do?
Tian Xin sneered, with mixed feelings in her heart.
Liang Xiao saw that the light was not on her, but on Tian Xin. She realized that the person Lin Zhou was talking about was not her, and she left crying on the spot.
Gao Wen and Gao Cheng cheered and booed along with the audience.
"Do you have anything to say to this lady you have missed for a long time?" The host handed the microphone to Lin Zhou again.
Lin Zhou turned his head, his eyes full of affection, and slowly spoke.
