Chapter 433 Arriving Together
The first person to appear in front of Shen Xuewei was Hu Xiaodan, whom she had met once or twice before.
Hu Xiaodan was assigned to Xu Yue by Heyu Century as her assistant and had been with Xu Yue for over a year.
Shen Xuewei knew her, and she naturally recognized Shen Xuewei as well.
Upon seeing Shen Xuewei, he looked flustered and guilty, yet he forced himself to remain calm.
“Miss Chen, what brings you here? Xu...Xu Yue isn’t at the apartment. Please look for her elsewhere.”
Shen Xuewei didn't waste words with her, but pushed her aside and continued to push her way inside.
Hu Xiaodan's expression changed drastically. She tried to stop her, but Wu Antang held her back, and she could only watch helplessly as Hu Xiaodan rushed into the room.
"Miss Chen, you can't go in!"
Shen Xuewei stood at the door, raising her hand to touch the doorknob, when the door opened from the inside and a woman in a gray suit came out.
The man had sharp features, and his eyes behind his glasses held no real smile, yet he forced a forced grin.
"Madam, this apartment building belongs to our company. As an outsider, it's inappropriate for you to treat someone else's company premises as your own."
Shen Xuewei, with her sharp ears, could already hear the "whooshing" sound coming from the room.
She grabbed the woman's clothes, threw her outside, and stormed into the room.
Xu Yue was wrapped in a thin blanket and tightly bound to the bed. Her mouth was gagged with a wad of cloth, and she could only helplessly make "woo woo woo" sounds.
Seeing Shen Xuewei barge in like this, her eyes widened, and her "woofing" grew louder.
Shen Xuewei quickly stepped forward, removed the object from her mouth, and then helped her untie the thin blanket binding her.
Even the strongest person can't help but shed tears at this moment.
“Weiwei…”
Shen Xuewei interrupted her, "Don't say so much yet. Do you know about the trending topic? Quickly post a response on Weibo."
Xu Yue subconsciously looked at the bedside table, where there was only a lamp and a small bottle, but no cell phone.
Her expression changed, and she said anxiously:
"My phone, my phone may have been taken by my assistant and agent."
She rushed out and grabbed the woman in the gray suit, "Sister Zhen, give me back my phone."
Sister Zhen remained calm, her eyes filled with sympathy and regret as she looked at her, uttering cold words.
"Xu Yue, it's too late to post on Weibo now. Everything is beyond repair. Check your WeChat."
She tossed Xu Yue's phone to her and was about to leave with Hu Xiaodan when they were stopped by Wu Antang and Peng Zhiyun.
"Get out of my way," she said coldly.
Wu Antang and his companion ignored her and remained standing guard at the door like gatekeepers.
She took a deep breath, turned around and looked at Shen Xuewei, "You're Xu Yue's friend, right? I've heard of you. It's not good that things got so awkward on our first meeting, is it?"
Shen Xuewei held up the medicine bottle in her hand in front of her.
"Xu Yue never takes these sleeping pills. Did you bring this bottle of sleeping pills?"
Without even blinking, Sister Zhen said, "Miss Chen, you can't just say things without evidence."
Shen Xuewei chuckled, then glanced at the bag Gan Shengnan was clutching and gave her a look.
Gan Shengnan understood, and secretly attacked from behind with her phone, snatching Sister Zhen's bag in one fell swoop.
Sister Zhen's expression changed drastically. "Give it back to me."
Gan Shengnan was caught by her and forcefully tossed the bag directly to Shen Xuewei.
Shen Xuewei caught it, and then unzipped the bag, emptying its contents.
Her gaze fell on the phone that had fallen out, and Shen Xuewei bent down to pick it up.
After discovering that she had taken her phone, Sister Zhen tensed up and spoke with a strong warning tone.
“Ms. Shen, this phone is my personal property, and it contains many confidential company documents. If you return it to me now, I can pretend nothing happened.”
Shen Xuewei held the phone and found that it had a screen lock password and fingerprint sensor, which she couldn't unlock.
"An Tang, keep an eye on that woman. Lao Peng, come here and restrain her!"
Wu Antang stood guard at the door, preventing anyone from getting out. Peng Zhiyun restrained Sister Zhen, who was baring her teeth and claws and lunging at Shen Xuewei, pinning her to the ground, unable to move.
Under Sister Zhen's resentful gaze, Shen Xuewei pressed her fingerprint on the screen and unlocked the phone.
As she scrolled through Sister Zhen's phone, her eyes flashed with a cold light after seeing several nude photos of Xu Yue and her WeChat conversations with Xu Yue's stepmother and uncle.
"Big agent, your company really knows how to conduct itself..."
Shen Xuewei saw all the documents, and Sister Zhen stared intently at her.
"Looking at someone else's phone is illegal. Once you leave here, you can expect my lawyer's letter."
Shen Xuewei sneered and tossed a business card at her.
"Of course I'll wait. This is my business card; I'm afraid you won't come looking for me. But before that, you might need to explain to everyone how you hired online trolls to smear other companies' artists, and about these photos."
She backed up everything on Sister Zhen's phone, added herself as a friend, and sent her a copy of everything.
He then deleted all the negative information about Xu Yue from her phone before throwing the phone back at her.
"Let them go, they're just getting in the way."
Once they were free, and seeing Wu Antang make way for them, the two quickly left.
After the two left, Shen Xuewei looked at Xu Yue, who was sitting on the sofa in a daze.
She sighed softly, sat down beside her, and asked with concern:
"Ah Yue, are you...are you alright?"
Xu Yue snapped out of her daze and forced a smile that was extremely ugly.
"Weiwei, the director said he's replacing her. I've lost my leading role, and what about my endorsements and my career..."
Shen Xuewei scrolled through Weibo and calmly said:
“I know you’re not happy about this, but right now we have to respond to these negative things about you that are trending on social media. We’ll try to salvage the situation as much as we can.”
These things should have been done by her agency, but it's obvious that the agency was behind these scandals.
I can't rely on brokerage firms; I have to handle these things myself.
Xu Yue looked at the so-called negative information online and laughed with extreme irony.
How outrageous! In order to suppress her, they even dug up her own father and wife, whom she had never met before.
This was the first time she had faced these situations, and they all came at once.
She didn't break down in tears, nor did she commit suicide because she couldn't understand it; she's already a person with a strong will.
But faced with so much negative information, she was all alone. She wanted to explain, but her mind was in complete turmoil, and she didn't know where to begin.
Holding her phone, her fingertips trembled as she edited a Weibo post. She only wrote a few words before looking completely lost, unsure of what to continue.
Xu Yue: All the information circulating online is false. Do not believe or spread rumors. I will release clarification details later to protect my legal rights.
Sending this simple message exhausted all her energy.
She slumped onto the sofa, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Shen Xuewei knew that her mind was in turmoil, so she didn't say anything, giving her time to calm down. She simply held her hand tightly, offering her strength and support.
Xu Yue closed her eyes tightly, then opened them again, a hint of determination in her eyes.
She scrolled through the Weibo account that was supposedly her biological father's wife.
The other party's Weibo account had several posts in a row accusing her mother, Xu Qingshui, of interfering in her marriage.
The fact that Xu Yue was born during her marriage to Xu Yue's father.
