Chapter 162 Recognition

Chapter 162 Recognition

Lin Qiu rushed to school to attend a parent-teacher meeting the next day.

When she arrived, there were already seven or eight parents sitting in the classroom.

Teacher Luo stood at the door of the classroom and greeted with a smile: "Wang Shan's mother!"

"Hello, Mr. Luo!"

Parents are always inferior to teachers. Lin Qiu quickly walked over and greeted them warmly, "Thank you for your concern for Wang Shan's studies!"

"Wang Shan has always performed well in school, which has always made me feel at ease." Teacher Luo is very satisfied with his proud student.

Wang Shan studies well in school and performs very well in all aspects. In addition, her parents are sensible and supportive of the teacher's work. Therefore, Teacher Luo wishes that all the children and parents in the class could be as worry-free as them.

"Teacher Luo is still the best teacher!" Lin Qiu complimented with a smile.

After hearing this, Teacher Luo smiled even more and pointed to the seats in the middle of the classroom. "Mother Wang Shan, you can sit in any of the first three rows. Pick one."

"Okay." Lin Qiu nodded, "You go ahead and do your work. I'll just find a seat and sit down."

When Teacher Luo saw another parent coming, he hurried to greet them.

Lin Qiu chose the middle seat in the third row and sat down. There was no one on either side of the seat, and there were several documents on each seat.

Lin Qiu picked it up and flipped through it, and found that they were all introductions to the top-ranked middle schools in Bao'an District, and some even had relevant information about high schools attached.

Among them are the junior high school departments of Baoan Middle School and Xinan Middle School mentioned by Lin Qiu and Wang Xiuren.

Lin Qiu picked out the information of these two schools and put them at the front.

"Shanshan's mother!"

Lin Qiu looked up and saw Huang Xinxin's mother sitting down on the seat next to Lin Qiu.

"Xinxin's mother." Lin Qiu greeted with a smile, "Why did you come here just now?"

Wang Shan and Huang Xinxin have been in the same class since nursery, and their families live not far from each other, so they are quite familiar with each other.

Huang Xinxin's mother works as a clerk in the Bao'an District Government, and her work is usually quite leisurely.

"Stop talking! The district is preparing for another health inspection, and we have to prepare all the information before the inspection." Huang Xinxin's mother wiped the sweat from her forehead.

"No wonder."

Lin Qiu understood that once there was an inspection, there would be a lot of trouble.

"There's still work to do!" Huang Xinxin's mother also picked up the documents on the table and asked as she flipped through them:

"By the way, which middle school are you planning to send Shanshan to?"

"I can't be sure right now. But her father and I think Baoan Middle School and Xinan Middle School are both pretty good, but I don't know if she can get in."

"Shanshan's grades have always been stable, there must be no problem." Huang Xinxin's mother was a little worried, "Unlike my child, whose grades fluctuate too much. I'm really afraid that she will make mistakes in the individual recruitment exam or the entrance exam."

"Don't worry too much. I heard that these two middle schools will examine the whole year's results and select the best one comprehensively. Xinxin has an active mind and a quick brain, so it shouldn't be a big problem." Lin Qiu comforted.

"That's what they say, but no one can tell the specific situation. I hope my child can try harder!" Huang Xinxin's mother decided to enroll her daughter in an advanced class.

At this time, Teacher Luo walked in.

The dozen or so parents sitting in the classroom immediately stopped communicating, sat upright, and waited for Teacher Luo to speak.

Teacher Luo briefly introduced several middle schools in the district, and emphasized the educational characteristics of these middle schools and the admission score lines of previous years.

Lin Qiu quickly took out a pen from his shoulder bag and wrote down every word of the information mentioned by Teacher Luo on the corresponding school's information.

The same is true for parents around me.

For a moment, the only sounds in the classroom were Teacher Luo's sharp voice and the rustling sounds of parents writing.

After the parent-teacher meeting, familiar parents gathered in groups of three or four to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the school and the information they knew.

Lin Qiu also listened for a while and wrote down some of the parents' opinions on a piece of information paper.

When she got home, she pulled her daughter to sit on the sofa and handed her the information she had sent.

"Shanshan, here are some middle school materials sent by the school and the information given by Teacher Luo. Please refer to them for yourself."

Wang Shan didn't expect that the school would start preparing for her further studies in the first semester of sixth grade.

"Is it going to be decided so soon?"

Wang Shan's voice unconsciously carried a hint of anxiety.

Lin Qiu stroked her hair and said, "No, no, the school just told parents about some of the middle schools. We are not in a hurry, and we have plenty of time to think about choosing a school."

Perhaps it was her mother's gentle voice that eased Wang Shan's anxiety. She carefully browsed through each piece of information, frowning from time to time.

"Mom, let me try the independent admission examinations of Baoan Middle School and Xinan Middle School first!" After reading the information, Wang Shan thought about it and made this decision.

Lin Qiu usually wouldn't easily deny his daughter's ideas, especially at this time.

"Okay, as long as you feel good about it. Mom supports your decision!"

After making this decision, Wang Shan studied even harder and filled her schedule with activities.

In order to avoid interference from little Yang Liuliu, she drew a sign by herself with the words "No entry for Yang Liuliu" written in large letters, and a Q-version man who looked like Liuliu was drawn next to it.

This sign hanging on the door made the whole family laugh and cry.

As Wang Shan studied hard, time passed quietly, and in the blink of an eye it was June, when all the middle schools held their individual admission examinations.

As soon as the exam notice came out, Teacher Luo helped the students in the class who were interested in taking the exam to register. He also found a way to get the exam papers of these schools in previous years, organized a mock exam and explained the exam papers.

Wang Shan's scores in several mock exams were able to reach the admission score line of the corresponding year, which relieved her nervousness a little.

Both Baoan Middle School and Xinan Middle School choose to hold the single-recruitment examination on Saturday, but the examination time of Baoan Middle School is one week earlier.

The contents of the inspections of the two schools are basically similar.

Chinese focuses on ancient poetry, composition, reading, dictation, and literary knowledge learned in sixth grade. Mathematics tests include multiplication, division, calculation, and drawing. The last additional question also involves the content of the first grade of junior high school. In addition to English listening, vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension and writing have also been added.

After two exams, Wang Shan started to feel anxious and just hoped that the results would come out soon.

The very next day after the Xin'an Middle School exam, Teacher Luo called six students including Wang Shan and Huang Xinxin to his office and smiled as he told them the good news that they had passed the Bao'an Middle School independent recruitment exam.

Wang Shan and Huang Xinxin were so excited that they screamed, hugged each other and jumped around, not caring that this was an office and Teacher Luo was standing nearby.

After they calmed down, the two girls faced the kind smiles of Teacher Luo and their classmates with blushing faces and embarrassment.

Two days later, the two girls received the news that they had passed the entrance examination for Xin'an Middle School.

This time they were much calmer. They held hands with dazzling light in their eyes.

They felt that their hard work and study over the past year had not been in vain, and the olive branches from the two middle schools were recognition of their efforts.
