Chapter 56 Production

Lin Zhiyue stepped into the office and saw Director Song reviewing documents at his desk. Hearing the noise, Director Song looked up with a look of gentleness and surprise. "Hey, Lin Zhiyue, you are a rare guest. Come and sit down." He greeted her warmly and pointed to the chair opposite.

Lin Zhiyue didn't sit down, but stood where she was, her hands unconsciously clenching the corners of her clothes, her expression serious and anxious, "Director, I came to you today to ask for an important favor. I want to borrow your machinery factory to make a harvester." Director Song raised his eyebrows slightly, a hint of curiosity flashed in his eyes, and he leaned forward, motioning her to continue.

"You know, it's the busy farming season now, and farmers are working hard to harvest crops." As Lin Zhiyue spoke, the image of villagers bending over to work emerged in his mind, and his tone became more earnest, "Bending over, harvesting one handful at a time, the waist and back ache after a day. If we can make a harvester, the harvesting speed will definitely be faster, and everyone will be able to relax a lot."

Director Song leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers lightly on the table, looking at Lin Zhiyue. After thinking for a moment, he said, "It's a good idea, but making a harvester is not a trivial matter. It involves a lot of complex technology and professional equipment. Are you sure?"

Lin Zhiyue straightened his back with a firm look in his eyes. "Director, I have a detailed design plan and have made a lot of preparations. I modified a bicycle before and got some understanding of the mechanical structure. In the past few days, I have also read a lot of information about harvesters. I know it is difficult, but for the sake of the villagers, I want to give it a try."

Director Song stared at Lin Zhiyue, as if considering the credibility of her words. The office fell silent for a moment, with only the ticking sound of the wall clock.

After a long while, Director Song raised his lips and smiled, "Okay, I appreciate your drive and your concern for the villagers. You can use all the equipment and materials in the factory as long as they are reasonable. If you encounter technical problems, you can also ask the masters in the factory for help."

When Lin Zhiyue heard this, surprise and gratitude instantly shone in her eyes, and she thanked him repeatedly: "Thank you so much, Director! Don't worry, I will do my best and will not let you down."

Director Song called out to the door, "Xiaomei, come in for a moment."

After a while, a young girl came in.

Director Song pointed at Lin Zhiyue and said, "Take her to see the workshop director of the first workshop. Try to meet any needs she has. If you have any questions, feel free to tell me."

When Lin Zhiyue heard this, she was deeply moved and quickly expressed her gratitude to Director Song: "Director Song, thank you so much. You gave me such a good opportunity. I will definitely work hard."

Director Song smiled and waved his hand: "Don't be polite, work hard and try to make a practical harvester, and let the masters in our factory see your skills."

Lin Zhiyue followed the girl named Xiaomei out of the factory director's office.

Along the way, Xiaoyue enthusiastically introduced the layout of the machinery factory and the functions of each workshop to Lin Zhiyue.

Soon, they arrived at a workshop where machines were roaring, workers were busy in an orderly manner, and various parts and tools were neatly arranged.

The workshop director of a workshop is a middle-aged man in his forties, with a sturdy build and a simple smile on his face.

After Xiaomei explained her purpose to him, he walked up, patted Lin Zhiyue on the shoulder, and said, "Little girl, don't be polite. If you need anything, just ask us. We will definitely cooperate with you. But building a harvester is not an easy task. If you don't understand anything, you can ask us masters."

Lin Zhiyue nodded gratefully: "Thank you, Director. I will. I already have a preliminary design plan, but I still need some materials and equipment to make and debug it."

The workshop director waved his hand and said, "Okay, give me a list of what you need and I'll have someone prepare it."

Lin Zhiyue hurried back to the place where he had placed the electric car, took out the design drawings he had drawn and the notebook with the list of materials from the basket, and hurried back to a workshop.

She handed the drawings and list to the workshop director and explained her needs to him in detail.

The workshop director looked at the drawings and lists carefully, nodding from time to time to express his approval of Lin Zhiyue's design.

The workshop director took the drawings and list handed over by Lin Zhiyue, read them carefully, then raised his head and said to the assistant beside him with a firm look: "Go, according to the list, bring all the parts to Comrade Lin, don't miss a single one, and be quick!"

After receiving the order, the assistant left quickly. After a while, he came back with a few workers, carrying a pile of parts.

The parts were neatly placed on the workbench. Lin Zhiyue walked forward, his eyes full of joy and anticipation.

She gently stroked the cold metal parts, as if she could already see them being assembled into a harvester and galloping happily across the fields.

The workshop director stood aside, squinting his eyes slightly, looking at Lin Zhiyue's focused expression, and couldn't help but admire this young girl a little more.

The workshop director said, "Take a look at these parts first. If there are any that are not suitable or missing, just tell me and we will find a solution."

Lin Zhiyue nodded and said gratefully: "Thank you, Director. I'll check it first."

As she spoke, she lowered her head, compared it with the drawings, and began to check the parts one by one.

Her eyes were focused and serious, and her fingers gently slid across the surface of the parts, examining their size, texture and quality.

After finding that all the parts met the requirements, Lin Zhiyue breathed a sigh of relief and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

She raised her head and said to the workshop director, "Director, all the parts are fine. I can start assembling."
