Early in the morning, as soon as the first ray of sunlight penetrated the mist and shone on the quiet village, Lin Zhiyue got up, packed his bags and prepared to go into the mountains.
She skillfully put on her hunting bow, put a sharp dagger on her waist, and walked towards the forest with light steps.
For Lin Zhiyue, hunting in the mountains is not only a way to obtain food, but also a unique way for her to get close to nature and relax.
As she stepped into the forest, she was instantly surrounded by the fresh scent of grass and trees.
The sunlight shines through the dense branches and leaves, casting mottled shadows on the ground.
Lin Zhiyue was like a nimble little deer, shuttling back and forth between the mountains and forests, searching for traces of prey with sharp eyes.
Sometimes she stopped and listened attentively to the movements around her, and sometimes she looked carefully at the ground to see if there were any animal footprints.
As he walked, Lin Zhiyue came to a relatively remote valley.
The trees here are becoming more and more lush, and a mysterious atmosphere is everywhere.
Just as she was about to move forward, she caught a glimpse of a cave entrance looming under the mountain wall not far away.
She was startled and her curiosity was instantly ignited.
Lin Zhiyue slowly approached the cave entrance, taking every step carefully, for fear of alarming any dangerous creatures that might be inside the cave.
As the distance got closer, she could see clearly that it was indeed a cave. The entrance was not big and was covered by some weeds and vines. If she hadn't been careful, she would have easily missed it.
She stood at the entrance of the cave, took a deep breath, and tried to calm her racing heartbeat.
At this moment, a damp smell came faintly from the cave, mixed with an indescribable mysterious smell.
Lin Zhiyue hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to find out.
She reached out and pushed aside the weeds and vines at the entrance of the cave, then carefully took the first step into the cave.
The light in the cave was dim, and she squinted her eyes, trying to adapt to the darkness.
After taking a few steps, she suddenly heard a "crunching" sound under her feet. She looked down and found that they were some dry branches.
Her heart tightened and she stopped again, looking around vigilantly.
After her eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness, Lin Zhiyue discovered that the space inside the cave was larger than she had imagined.
The walls of the cave are covered with strange patterns, which look like mysterious paintings in the dim light.
She continued to walk inside, taking every step extremely carefully, holding the dagger tightly in her hand to prevent any accidents.
Suddenly, she heard a slight sound coming from deep inside the cave, like the movement of some animal.
She stopped in her tracks for a second, holding her breath, her heart beating wildly in her chest.
In this quiet cave, she could clearly hear her own heartbeat, one beat after another...
The sound seemed to echo continuously in this dim space, interweaving with her rapid breathing.
Her eyes were fixed on the direction where the sound came from, and she gripped the dagger in her hand tighter, her knuckles turning slightly white due to the force.
Lin Zhiyue tried hard to calm herself down, and quickly thought of a countermeasure in her mind.
She knew very well that any rash action in this unknown cave might bring danger, but she was unwilling to retreat.
After a brief thought, she decided to sneak closer and find out what was making the sound.
She bent down, tried to make her steps as light as possible, and moved step by step deeper into the cave.
With every step, the slight sound seemed to get closer.
In the dim light, her eyes were fixed on the front, not missing any slight changes.
As the distance got closer, she gradually figured out that the sound seemed to come from behind a huge rock.
Lin Zhiyue slowly walked around the rock, his heart almost in his throat.
When she saw the scene behind the rock clearly, she was stunned.
I saw a little deer trapped in the narrow gap between the rock and the cave wall. Its legs seemed to be stuck and it could not move. It could only make weak calls.
The little deer's eyes were wet, full of fear and helplessness, and it was looking at Lin Zhiyue pitifully.
The tension in Lin Zhiyue's heart instantly dissipated, replaced by full of pity.
She put away the dagger, slowly approached the deer, and said softly: "Don't be afraid, little one, I'm here to help you."
She carefully examined the situation of the fawn and found that a protruding rock had stuck its hind legs.
She tried to move the stone gently, but it didn't budge.
Lin Zhiyue looked around and found a thick branch not far away.
She walked over, picked up the branch with great effort, and used it as a lever to pry open the stone that trapped the deer.
With her efforts, the stone finally loosened.
She carefully freed the deer's leg from the gap, checked it, and found that it was just a few scratches and nothing serious.
The little deer seemed to feel Lin Zhiyue's kindness and stopped struggling.
Lin Zhiyue gently stroked the deer's head and said, "Okay, it's okay, you can go home."
The little deer tried to stand up, took a few unsteady steps, then looked back at Lin Zhiyue as if to thank her, and then jumped and ran out of the cave.
Looking at the deer's departing back, Lin Zhiyue's heart was filled with warmth.
She turned around and prepared to leave the cave, but at this moment, she noticed that the patterns on the cave wall where the fawn was trapped seemed to be a little strange.
She looked closer and found that the lines formed a strange symbol, like some ancient mark.
Lin Zhiyue's curiosity was ignited again. She continued to search along the wall of the cave and found some similar symbols around, which seemed to be conveying some information.
