Lin Zhiyue walked slowly along the winding path in the field. The crops on the side of the road rustled in the breeze, as if whispering.
The sunlight shines through the gaps in the clouds, casting mottled light and shadows, adding a touch of poetry to this pastoral landscape.
Lin Zhiyue, who was immersed in this peaceful atmosphere, looked up and saw Aunt Guihua coming towards her.
Aunt Guihua is from the team leader's family. She is quite prestigious in the village. She is kind-hearted and everyone respects her.
Aunt Guihua was wearing a blue cloth shirt that was a little faded from washing but clean and tidy. Her hair was neatly combed behind her head and tied with a black headscarf. Time had left some marks on her face, but her eyes were still bright and warm.
Aunt Guihua saw Lin Zhiyue at a glance, and a friendly smile immediately broke out on her face. She quickened her pace to greet her.
She stretched out her calloused but powerful hands and grabbed Lin Zhiyue, her movements full of concern.
Aunt Guihua's voice was full of rural accent, revealing a reassuring power, "What a coincidence, I ran into you here."
Lin Zhiyue also responded with a smile: "Aunt Guihua, hello!"
Aunt Guihua held Lin Zhiyue's hand tightly, exerting a little force, as if to pass on her strength to her. "Yueyue, I feel deeply sorry for your parents' affairs."
At this point, Aunt Guihua's eyes were slightly red, and her voice was a little choked up. "Although they are gone, don't be afraid, you still have me and your uncle. Our village has been in good hands for so many years, thanks to your parents' enthusiastic help. Now that they are gone, it is our responsibility to take care of you."
Aunt Guihua gently patted the back of Lin Zhiyue's hand and continued, "You are living alone now, so it is inevitable that you will encounter some difficulties. Don't bear it alone. If you have any problems, no matter whether they are big or small, come and talk to me and your uncle."
Her eyes were full of sincerity and unquestionable determination. "Let's not talk about anything else. In this brigade, your uncle and I can still make the decision for you. If someone dares to bully you, tell us. We will never let them off easily."
When Lin Zhiyue listened to Aunt Guihua's words, a warm feeling surged in her heart and her eyes became moist unconsciously.
She nodded vigorously, and said with a choked voice: "Aunt, I've remembered it all. You and uncle have always taken such good care of me, I don't know how to thank you."
Aunt Guihua raised her hand and gently wiped away the tears from Lin Zhiyue's eyes, and said with a smile: "Silly child, why should you say thank you or not? We are all from the same village, we are one family. Just live your life well, and if you need anything, just ask, don't be polite to your aunt."
