Chapter 18 Aunt's Trouble

After dinner, Zheng Shaoyun went straight to the room, and Zheng Xinyi stopped her in time: "Aunt, don't you usually wash the dishes after dinner at home?"

"Of course not." Zheng Shaoyun just finished speaking, and met Zheng Xinyi's eyes waiting for her to wash the dishes: "But now I have to sweep the floor."

Just as she was about to take the plane and slip away, Zheng Xinyi reminded her in time: "Auntie, the broom is in the kitchen."

Zheng Shaoyun gave her a fierce look. In fact, she didn't care whether Zheng Xinyi was stupid or not. But the only thing that disgusted her was that this little girl was becoming more and more shrewd. She used to run around for him, but now she was against him everywhere.

"I know." Zheng Shaoyun then turned and went into the kitchen, reluctantly sweeping the melon seed shells off the floor.

Zheng Xinyue saw her enter Zheng Xinyi's room so naturally, and frowned slightly: "Dad, she lives in my sister's room, so where does my sister live?"

Surrounded by smoke, Zheng Shaochun spoke helplessly: "Let your second sister squeeze in with you for a while."

"Why?" Zheng Xinyue shouted out her reluctance without any hesitation.

Zheng Shaochun took the pipe from his mouth and glared at Zheng Xinyue: "Keep your voice down, your aunt is only staying for a few days. After your sister gets married, she will leave. You just have to make do with her for a few days!"

Zheng Xinyue looked reluctant, pouted, picked up her schoolbag in a bad mood, and turned to go into the house.

Zheng Shaoyun put his hands into his sleeves to keep warm, and came out shivering. He said to Zheng Xinwei, "Xinwei, this room is too cold. The kang is icy. Go and heat some water for my aunt."

Zheng Xinyi immediately turned to Zheng Xinwei and said, "Brother, come here for a moment. I want to discuss my marriage with you." Then she said to Zheng Shaoyun, who was stunned, "Aunt, if you're cold, the wood for the kang is in the yard. Go get it yourself."

Without giving her a chance to speak, he quickly pulled Zheng Xinwei into Xinyue's room.

Zheng Xinyue, who heard it clearly in the room, raised her head to Zheng Xinyi: "Sister, I really admire you more and more."

Zheng Xinwei looked through the crack in the door at Zheng Shaoyun, who had already picked up the dustpan, and said to his two sisters with some tenderness, "Are we going too far? After all, she's your aunt."

"Brother, it's not that we don't respect her, but she went too far. Have you forgotten what happened before? Have you forgotten how she and my second uncle and aunt bullied our family?" Zheng Xinyue was still very angry when she mentioned the previous things.

Zheng Xinwei touched the back of his head and wanted to say something, but was stopped by Zheng Xinyi's shushing gesture. Then he heard the conversation outside.

"Sister-in-law, have you finished washing the dishes?" Zheng Shaoyun, who had just walked in with ingredients, said to Cuihua, who had just walked out of the kitchen.

Cuihua reluctantly uttered a "hmm", and Zheng Shaoyun happily pushed a full basket of firewood into the stove pit, which was the only thing used to heat the kang, and then knelt on the ground to light the fire. The sudden puff of smoke choked her and made her cough continuously.

Cuihua couldn't bear to watch it any longer, so she walked over and asked, "What's going on?"

Zheng Shaoyun's face was dark, and he spread his hands to Cuihua, looking ignorant.

Cuihua took the fire stick and poked around in the stove, but it was completely blocked and the stick couldn't get in. She stood up and looked at the empty winnowing basket and said to Shaoyun, "Did you put all the wood in there?"

"Yeah." Shaoyun said as a matter of course.

Cuihua was speechless: "Okay, go inside and rest! I'll take care of this."
