When I pushed open Zheng Shaoyun's door, I saw her covering her chest and vomiting with a very painful expression.
"Aunt, are you okay?" Zheng Xinyue asked with a frown, covering her mouth and nose with a look of disgust.
"I can't take it anymore, go call my brother quickly." Zheng Shaoyun felt like he was about to vomit out his entire stomach and was in great pain.
Zheng Xinyue glanced at Zheng Xinyi, who was standing by the door with her arms folded across her chest. She winked at her. Zheng Xinyue ran out helplessly and knocked on the door of her parents' room, who were already fast asleep. "Dad, Mom."
In the blink of an eye, the light inside came on. Zheng Shaochun, putting on his coat, trotted over to open the door and asked, "Did something stupid happen?"
Cuihua also followed in panic, staring at Zheng Xinyue with wide eyes.
"It's not me, it's my aunt." Zheng Xinyue pointed at Zheng Shaoyun who was still vomiting and said.
As soon as the words fell, the two of them hurried over. Zheng Shaochun patted her on the back and asked with concern: "What's going on? Wasn't it fine during dinner? How did it become like this now?"
Zheng Xinwei, who heard the noise, ran out without even having time to change his coat. Seeing the situation in front of him, he was even more stunned: "Dad, do you want me to carry my aunt to see Doctor Gao?"
Although Cuihua usually disliked Zheng Shaoyun, seeing her vomiting so miserably, with sweat pouring down her forehead, she felt uneasy: "Shaochun, why don't you ask Zheng Xinwei to invite Doctor Gao to come home?"
"Cheng, Xinwei, put on your coat and quickly go get Dr. Gao." Zheng Shaochun said in a slightly commanding tone.
After the words fell, Zheng Xinwei did not dare to delay for a moment and quickly got up and trotted out.
Zheng Xinyi, who was leaning against the door, showed no sign of worry and spoke slowly, "Don't worry, Auntie just ate too many melon seeds and got sick."
"What are you talking about? He's vomiting like this, how can we not be worried?" Zheng Shaochun scolded Zheng Xinyi. He estimated that there was nothing left in Zheng Shaoyun's stomach to vomit out. Zheng Shaochun helped her lie on the kang: "Hold on for a while, Doctor Gao will be here soon."
"Xinyue, go and boil some hot water with Xinyi. I have to clean up the things on the floor, otherwise it will be bad if Doctor Gao sees them." While instructing the two children, Cuihua quickly went into the kitchen and took out a broom.
Zheng Xinyue tightened her nose, and cast a helpless look at Zheng Xinyi. She then looked at Zheng Shaoyun, who was lying on the kang and squeaking, with disgust, and muttered softly: "What a trouble."
Zheng Xinyi nudged her with her elbow: "Hurry up and boil some water! No matter what, she is my aunt after all."
In fact, Zheng Xinyi knew very well that Zheng Shaoyun had eaten too many melon seeds. She had studied medicine for so many years, so this little symptom could not escape her keen eyes. Unfortunately, she was helpless now and could not enter the space to take out the herbs. If she could conjure some herbs out of thin air, it would definitely arouse everyone's suspicion.
Although Zheng Xinyue was sulking in her heart, her hands and feet were nimble. As soon as Zheng Xinyi turned around, she had already brought in the chopped wood, lit the fire, and obediently boiled water. She glanced at Zheng Shaoyun who seemed to be in pain in the room and asked in a low voice: "Sister, do you think auntie will be okay?"
Zheng Xinyi rolled her eyes at her, signaling that she was talking too much. Zheng Xinyi knew she was wrong and curled her lips: "I'm worried about her too."
