Cheng Haoting sat at the dining table, staring at the door, waiting anxiously, but they didn't show any sign of returning. Her saliva began to flow uncontrollably. She turned her head to glance at her mother who was still busy in the kitchen. She became greedy and secretly picked up a piece of meat from the plate. Just as she was about to put it in her mouth, the chopsticks in her hand were suddenly knocked down, and then she was met with Zhang Fengrong's sharp eyes.
"Mom, I'll just eat a small piece." Cheng Haoyu said in a pleading tone.
"This meat is for your sister-in-law to eat. She is pregnant now and needs additional nutrition." Zhang Fengrong said in a negotiating tone.
"Then you don't care if I steal a piece of it!" Cheng Haoting looked at her with aggrieved look.
"They're back." Cheng Dayu shouted while standing in the yard.
"Haoting, hurry up and help set the table." Zhang Fengrong looked at their returning figures, patted Cheng Haoting's shoulder gently and said.
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhang Fengrong hurried out to greet him. Cheng Haoting pouted and set the table helplessly.
Zheng Xinyi was in a very bad mood. Although she was trying hard to disguise herself, outsiders could still tell at a glance that something was wrong with her expression.
Zhang Fengrong glanced at Cheng Haoyang, and Cheng Haoyang winked at her. No one dared to mention Zheng Xinwei's matter, for fear of adding fuel to the fire.
