After crying for a while, Shao Fang slowly stood up, wiped the tears from her face, and returned to the Zheng family with trembling steps. Now, she had nowhere else to go except the Zheng family. Her feet felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead. The afternoon sun was very bright, but she inexplicably felt a chill from the inside out freezing every inch of her skin.
"Hey! Isn't this Shao Fang from the Zheng family? What's wrong with you? Are you not feeling well?" Passersby in the village saw that her face looked extremely ugly, so they quickly helped her sit down and handed her a bowl of water.
At this moment, Shao Fang was already in a state of disarray. She glanced at her neighbor with tears in her eyes, then took the bowl of water and drank it all in one gulp. After drinking a bowl of water, she felt much more refreshed: "Thank you, Auntie."
"What's wrong with you? Are you sick? Do you want me to ask someone from Old Zheng's family to pick you up?" The old lady asked in a concerned tone.
"Oh! No need, I'm fine." Shao Fang immediately refused, then smiled at the old lady, got up and left.
The old lady looked at her receding figure and shook her head helplessly.
Because there was plenty of sunshine, everyone in the Zheng family came to the yard to accompany Zheng Xinwei to bask in the sun. While helping Cuihua with her work, Zheng Xinyue told them about the interesting things that happened to her at school, which made everyone laugh. Zheng Xinwei felt much better, and everyone became cheerful as well.
Shao Fang heard the heartfelt laughter before she even entered the Zheng family compound. Looking at the smiles on everyone's faces, Shao Fang felt even more embarrassed. She stood at the door for a while, fearing that if she went in at this time, it would affect everyone's cheerful atmosphere.
"Sister-in-law is back." Zheng Xinyi turned her head and ran into Shao Fang.
Everyone looked over at her. Shao Fang tried hard to hide her sadness and forced a smile. Xinyue rolled her eyes at her and said, "Why do you really not like coming into this house?"
Zheng Xinyi nudged her gently with her elbow and said with a smile, "Brother has been outside for too long. It's time to go inside and rest for a while. Sister-in-law, please accompany him inside. He also has something to say to you."
Shao Fang nodded slightly, then followed Cheng Haoyu and Zheng Xinyi to carefully help Zheng Xinwei into the house.
"Shao Fang, you don't look well. Are you feeling unwell?" Zheng Xinwei asked with concern.
When Zheng Xinwei said this, Shao Fang's eyes reddened again. She quickly turned her face away and secretly wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes with the back of her hand: "I'm fine, maybe it's because I didn't sleep well last night."
Although Shao Fang tried hard to disguise herself, Zheng Xinwei still heard her choked voice: "Shao Fang, are you crying?"
"No, the wind was so strong when I came back that I got blinded. What exactly did you want to tell me?" Shao Fang asked.
Zheng Xinyi pulled her to sit down and poured her a glass of water: "We have already told my brother your story in detail."
Shao Fang, whose emotions were still uncertain, panicked once more. She cast a horrified gaze at Zheng Xinwei, a guilty smile on her lips: "You must hate me to death and resent me to death, right?"
Zheng Xinwei shook his head gently: "Shao Fang, thank you for marrying me when I was in the most difficult time. Although we are just a couple in name only, it is enough for me to have you these few days. Tomorrow we will go through the divorce procedures. I am willing to make your happiness come true."
Shao Fang could no longer suppress the pain in her heart and couldn't help but lie on the table and cry. Cheng Haoyu and Zheng Xinyi looked at each other. They were a little puzzled by Shao Fang crying in front of them. This shouldn't be a sign of excitement.
