Chapter 449 Life-saving Straw

After sitting on the train for a day and a night, Zheng Xinyi's back and waist were already sore. Fortunately, she arrived at the station in time, otherwise she really would not have been able to hold on.

She walked out of the station and took a deep breath. At this moment, she really wished she had a pair of wings so that she could fly to the army immediately. Cheng Haoyu must still be worried about her. He could never have imagined that so many incredible things would happen when she returned home this time.

Because there was no car to pick her up at the station and no bus that went directly to the army, Zheng Xinyi had to walk on her own two feet. It took her three hours to reach the army gate.

"Doctor Zheng, you are finally back. If you hadn't come back, our Captain Cheng would have gone crazy." The soldier standing guard at the door of the unit was excited when he saw Zheng Xinyi.

Zheng Xinyi reached out to wipe the sweat off her face and smiled slightly: "Do you know where your Captain Cheng is now?"

"The military playground is definitely there." The soldier responded confidently.

Zheng Xinyi glanced at the scorching sun above her head and asked in a puzzled tone: "Shouldn't it be lunch time now?"

"Sister-in-law, you'll know if you go and see for yourself." Another soldier said with a smile.

Zheng Xinyi nodded slightly, entered the military gate and headed straight for the playground.

"Sister-in-law is back." The soldiers on the training ground were sweating profusely under the scorching sun above their heads.

Cheng Haoyu turned around subconsciously and met Zheng Xinyi's smiling face. His face, which had been gloomy for several days, finally showed a smile.

"Sister-in-law is back, we are saved."

"Can we go to lunch soon?"

.......

The soldiers began to talk in low voices. After several days of intensive training, they could hardly bear it any longer. When they saw Zheng Xinyi, they were as excited as if they had found a life-saving straw.

Cheng Haoyu suddenly turned his head and cast a sharp gaze at them. The mosquito-like chattering immediately stopped, and everyone stood up straight.

"We've only been training for a few days and you're already unable to bear it? It shows that your physical fitness is still not enough. If you were on the battlefield, you would have died in your current state." Cheng Haoyu said in a voice as loud as a bell.

"We must strengthen our training, improve our physical fitness, and become qualified soldiers." The voice was very loud and shocking.

Cheng Haoyu nodded slightly, then gave the order: "This is the kind of temperament you have. Disband."

As soon as the words fell, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief and ran towards the cafeteria happily.

Cheng Haoyu trotted over and took Zheng Xinyi's hand: "Why didn't you tell me in advance that you were coming back? I could have sent someone to pick you up at the station."

Zheng Xinyi said nothing, her eyes fixed on the back of Cheng Haoyu. Cheng Haoyu felt something was wrong and suddenly turned around. These hateful soldiers did not leave, but were hiding not far away and watching them.

"Do you want to practice more?" Cheng Haoyu asked.

With these words, the soldiers shook their heads and waved their hands, then disappeared without a trace at lightning speed.

"Xinyi, did Second Aunt and the others give you any trouble?" Cheng Haoyu looked her up and down with a concerned tone.

"No, I have something to tell you, but the story is a bit long. I'm thirsty and hungry now. Let's go home first and I'll tell you while we eat." As she spoke, Zheng Xinyi pulled him towards home.
