Looking at Cheng Haoyu's receding back, Zheng Xinyi's eyes quickly became moist.
"Xinyi, what happened?" Huang Lei and Zhao Yuenan walked over and looked at Cheng Haoyu's receding back, and asked Zheng Xinyi who was standing there in a daze with concern.
Zheng Xinyi came back to her senses, secretly wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and pretended to be calm: "It's okay, you guys go and do your own things."
As soon as the voice fell, Zheng Xinyi stood up and left quickly. Huang Lei wanted to chase her, but Zhao Yuenan stopped him in time: "Don't chase her. Maybe at this time, she is more eager for peace and quiet."
Cheng Haoyu did not go home, but went directly to the military playground and started running madly in circles, letting the sweat wet his hair and clothes. But even if he tried his best, the longing for Zheng Xinyi never stopped in his mind. Every bit of the journey, the ups and downs, kept replaying in his mind like a movie screen.
"Sister-in-law, Captain Cheng is going crazy again." The soldier said to the frustrated Zheng Xinyi, "Why don't you go to the playground and check on him?"
Zheng Xinyi suddenly raised her head, without saying a word, with her ten fingers crossed in front of her chest. After the soldiers walked away, she quietly came to the military playground. Looking at Cheng Haoyu who was sweating profusely and still accelerating, her heart seemed to be tightened by a vine, and tears suddenly fell like rain. She did not stop Cheng Haoyu, but covered her mouth and nose, cried silently, and turned away.
"Sister-in-law." A soldier called out meaningfully. He glanced at Cheng Haoyu, who was still running frantically on the playground, and reached out to touch his head: "Looks like they had a quarrel?"
After an unknown amount of time, Cheng Haoyu finally sat down on a chair exhausted. Strands of wet hair stuck to his face and he was gasping for breath. However, the image in his mind was still Zheng Xinyi's smiling face. He felt like he was about to collapse.
"Captain Cheng, did you have a fight with your sister-in-law?" the soldier came over and asked with a smile.
Cheng Haoyu looked at the soldier sharply. The soldier was startled and started to explain: "I'm not gossiping. I just saw my sister-in-law running away crying. Captain Cheng, how can a couple live without talking? As the saying goes, they fight at the head of the bed and make peace at the foot of the bed."
"If you once loved a girl deeply, but one day you found out that she had cheated on you, what would you do?" Cheng Haoyu asked.
"You lied to me? Then I still like her. As long as she is the girl I have chosen in my heart, I will like her no matter what she becomes." The soldier responded seriously.
"Thank you." Cheng Haoyu slowly stood up and left.
Looking at Cheng Haoyu's receding back, the soldier frowned slightly: "Could it be that my sister-in-law deceived Captain Cheng?"
Zheng Xinyi didn't turn on the lights and sat alone on the stool in a daze.
Cheng Haoyu stood at the door for a while, looking at the dark room, and was shocked: Didn’t she come home?
He looked up at the dark sky, quickened his pace, opened the door, turned on the light, looked around, and his eyes fell on Zheng Xinyi, who was sitting still like a statue. He breathed a sigh of relief: "Why don't you turn on the light?"
Zheng Xinyi still lowered her head, silent. Cheng Haoyu strode over and saw her tear-stained face. His heart ached. "What are you doing sitting here? Get up and lie down on the bed."
