Chapter 489 Strange Aning

Early in the morning, Zheng Xinyi woke up early, glanced at Cheng Haoyu who was still sleeping with gentle eyes, left a sweet kiss on his face, and then carefully moved his arms away. Seeing that his arms were about to move away, Cheng Haoyu suddenly exerted force and held her in his arms even harder. She opened her eyes drowsily, glanced at Zheng Xinyi, whose eyes were wide open in her arms, and looked at the sky outside which was not yet bright.

"What time is it? Why did you wake up so early?" Cheng Haoyu sat up and rubbed his eyes in a daze.

"It's still early, you can go to sleep." Zheng Xinyi responded while getting dressed.

"Then why did you get up so early?" Cheng Haoyu reacted and asked.

"The dean specifically instructed us yesterday to go an hour earlier today and hold a meeting with us, so I can't have breakfast with you this morning. You should go and eat by yourself!" Zheng Xinyi responded with a smile.

Cheng Haoyu, like a child, reached out and hugged Zheng Xinyi again, a little coquettishly: "Let's have lunch together at noon."

"I understand. I'm leaving." Zheng Xinyi responded by patting her hands.

After Zheng Xinyi left, Cheng Haoyu sat up straight and then lay down again, but his eyes could not close. He reached out and touched the place where Zheng Xinyi had just left, which was still warm, and a happy smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

"Captain Cheng, are you coming here alone to have breakfast?" The soldier looked behind him and asked curiously.

Cheng Haoyu nodded slightly, and said in a humorous tone: "Yes! Abandoned by your sister-in-law."

"Captain Cheng, it seems you are in a good mood today?" the two soldiers asked with a smile.

Cheng Haoyu rolled his eyes at them and said sternly, "You two are the ones who talk too much. Do an extra fifty push-ups later."

The two soldiers immediately shut up and left in disgrace.

Aning, who worked in the kitchen, cast a sharp gaze at Cheng Haoyu, who was sitting in the hall waiting for his meal. He was chatting and laughing with the soldiers, paying no attention to the sad and tearful Wang Yun. Aning clenched his fists, his face gloomy, and muttered to himself: "Cheng Haoyu, what's so good about you? People like you shouldn't even be alive."

"Aning, what are you doing? Go to work." Sun Ning said in an unhappy tone.

Aning came back to his senses and said with a smile, "Boss, I'm looking at Captain Cheng. He rarely comes to our army cafeteria to eat breakfast alone on weekdays."

Sun Ning glanced at Cheng Haoyu and said, "Captain Cheng seems to be in a good mood." Then he came to his senses and said in a scolding tone, "What does this have to do with you? Go back to your work."

Aning smiled and turned to leave. After Sun Ning left, she trotted over and introduced herself with a smile: "Captain Cheng, I'm Aning, working in the kitchen."

Cheng Haoyu glanced at him and asked, "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Captain Cheng, I know Wang Zhi is your subordinate, so I would like to ask you to say a few good words for me in front of Wang Zhi." As he spoke, Aning had already picked up his lunch box.

Cheng Haoyu looked confused: "What do you mean? I don't understand."

"Doesn't Wang Zhi have a younger sister named Wang Yun?" Aning asked with a slightly shy tone.

Cheng Haoyu immediately understood, pointed at him, and asked with a smile: "Are you interested in her?"

Aning nodded slightly and said, "If Captain Cheng can let Wang Yun come back to work, Aning will be grateful to you for the rest of her life."

"I'm afraid I can't help you with this. Wang Yun is still young. Wang Zhi and I still hope she can go home to study." Cheng Haoyu responded seriously.
