Chapter 509: Wrongly Accusing Zheng Xinyi

Wang Zhi didn't sleep the whole night and stayed by Wang Yun's bedside. His red eyes were full of heartache.

"Wang Zhi, would you like something to eat?" Zheng Xinyi specially got him food from the army canteen.

Wang Zhi swallowed his saliva and shook his head slightly: “Thank you, sister-in-law, I can’t eat anymore.”

"Wang Zhi, I know you are sad, but even if you are sad, you still have to eat." Zheng Xinyi frowned slightly and put the lunch box in his hands.

"Wang Zhi, go and have a rest. We are here for you." Cheng Haoyu put his arm on his shoulder and said meaningfully.

"Captain Cheng." Wang Zhi called out with trembling lips.

"Wang Yun needs you, so you must take good care of yourself now." Cheng Haoyu responded.

Wang Zhi, with trembling hands, had just picked up a piece of celery and was about to put it in his mouth when he heard Wang Yun babbling and slowly opening his eyes. He immediately put down the lunch box and called out softly, "Yun'er, Yun'er, are you awake?"

Cheng Haoyu and Zheng Xinyi also looked at him with concern.

"Brother." Wang Yun called weakly.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they heard the call of "Brother". Zheng Xinyi examined her further and smiled: "Don't worry! She's completely awake."

"Yun'er, you really scared me to death." Wang Zhi said, holding her hand.

Wang Yun wanted to stand up, but found that his left leg had completely lost sensation. His face suddenly changed. He looked up at his left leg and grabbed Wang Zhi's arm with a little force and asked, "Brother, why can't I feel anything in my left leg?"

"Wang Yun, you just woke up and you are still very weak. Would you like to drink some water?" Wang Zhi deliberately changed the subject.

A bad premonition came over Wang Yun. He held Wang Zhi's arm tightly and continued to ask, "Brother, tell me, what's wrong with my left leg? Why can't I feel anything?"

Wang Zhi looked at Zheng Xinyi, not knowing how to respond.

Wang Zhi glanced at Zheng Xinyi and gently shook her arm: "Brother, why don't you say anything? Tell me, what's wrong with my left leg? Is it completely useless?"

"Yun'er, your left kneecap is broken. You may not be able to walk like a normal leg in the future. But don't worry, even if your left leg is broken, your brother and mom and dad will still love you the same way." Wang Zhi held her arm and comforted her.

"Useless?" Wang Yun's eyes widened, still unable to accept this fact: "Useless, does that mean I'll never be a normal person again? Does that mean I'll be a useless person from now on?"

"Wang Yun, calm down. You must control your emotions at this time." Zheng Xinyi saw that she was emotionally stimulated and wanted to comfort her.

"You are not the injured one, and you are not the one whose left leg is broken. You must be so happy standing in front of me with all four limbs intact." Wang Yun yelled at her in an unhappy tone.

"Yun'er, don't say that. You were injured and everyone was very worried, especially your sister-in-law. They performed surgery on you for four and a half hours before they took the bullet out of your leg." Wang Zhi tried to calm her down.

Wang Yun's eyes widened, and he immediately became angry: "She performed the surgery on me? No wonder my left leg is crippled."

"Yun'er, Doctor Zheng is the best military doctor in the military hospital." Wang Zhi explained.

"That's how she treats others, but it's different for me. She really wants me dead." Wang Yun's eyes widened as he roared at him, "Zheng Xinyi, tell me the truth. Did you intentionally cripple my left leg? Did you?"
