Chapter 510 Guilt

"Wang Yun, I am a military doctor. It is my responsibility to save lives and heal the wounded. I will not violate my medical ethics just because of my personal grudge against you." Zheng Xinyi responded seriously.

Wang Yun raised the corner of his mouth with a cold smile: "Medical ethics? That sounds nice."

"Whatever you think, I really tried my best for your left leg. If you are not satisfied with me or have any opinions about me, you can go to the dean or the military leader to complain about me at any time." After the words fell, Zheng Xinyi turned and left.

Even after leaving the ward, Zheng Xinyi could still clearly hear Wang Yun's roar: "Zheng Xinyi, you're the one who crippled my left leg. For Cheng Haoyu, you're repaying kindness with hatred. You're a jerk."

Zheng Xinyi frowned helplessly and turned away quickly.

"Wang Yun, calm down." Cheng Haoyu stepped forward and reminded him.

Wang Yun cast a frantic look at Cheng Haoyu, suddenly hugged his arms and cried: "Haoyu, I will be a disabled person in the future. I can no longer walk like a normal person. What should I do?"

"I'm sorry. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have lost your left leg. It's all my fault." Cheng Haoyu blamed himself from the bottom of his heart: "Wang Yun, don't worry, I will definitely be responsible for you. If you want, Zheng Xinyi and I can take care of you for the rest of your life. Let's make up for my mistake!"

"Haoyu, you must be responsible for me. I have nothing but you." Wang Yun cried with tears in her eyes.

"Don't worry, I will. I, Cheng Haoyu, always keep my word. I promised to be responsible for you, and I will definitely do it." Cheng Haoyu responded solemnly.

"Captain Cheng, the army leader is looking for you." A soldier knocked on the door and came in with a respectful tone.

Cheng Haoyu turned his gaze to Wang Zhi, who patted him on the shoulder: "Captain Cheng, go with peace of mind! I'm here."

Cheng Haoyu nodded slightly and said to Wang Yun in a gentle tone: "Listen to your brother and have a good rest. I will come to see you when I am done."

Wang Yun nodded slightly and said, "Haoyu, I'll wait for you."

Cheng Haoyu had barely walked out of the ward when he saw Zheng Xinyi sitting alone in the hospital corridor, lost in thought. A pang of sadness washed over his heart. He lowered his head slightly and said to the soldier behind him, "Tell the army leader I'll be right there."

After he finished speaking, the soldier turned around and strode away.

Cheng Haoyu walked over slowly and called softly: "Xinyi."

Zheng Xinyi quickly and secretly wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and looked in the direction of the voice. When she saw Cheng Haoyu's thin face, her heart ached, but she tried to raise a smile at the corners of her mouth. Cheng Haoyu fully understood how forced this smile was.

Cheng Haoyu frowned slightly and held her hand meaningfully. "Xinyi, I know you've suffered a lot because of Wang Yun. To put it bluntly, it's all my fault. Seeing you so sad, my heart feels like a knife is cutting it. The pain is so severe that I can hardly breathe, but I can't do anything. After all, Wang Yun crippled his left leg for me. No matter how much I hate him, I can't avoid the guilt."

"Haoyu, stop talking. I understand. I understand everything. Don't worry. For you, I will tolerate Wang Yun's temper for a while." Zheng Xinyi responded with a smile.

"The army leader is looking for me, I'm leaving first." Cheng Haoyu didn't know how to respond to Zheng Xinyi, so he chose to escape temporarily.

"Go quickly!" Zheng Xinyi nodded slightly. She didn't know how heartbreaking Cheng Haoyu's facial expression was after he turned around.
