Huang Lei saw her eating shredded potatoes with tears in her eyes. He felt a little embarrassed and reached out to touch the back of his head: "It's just a shredded potato, right? What's wrong with you?"
"Huang Lei, this is the first time you've cooked for me, and it's also the first time you've taken the initiative to ask me out." Zhao Yuenan said indistinctly while eating shredded potatoes.

As soon as the words fell, Zhao Yuenan followed his steps out of the army cafeteria. The two walked side by side. After a moment of silence, Huang Lei asked, "I heard from Xinyi that you and Dr. Deng broke up."
Zhao Yuenan was stunned for a moment, then her facial expression returned to normal: "Yes, we broke up peacefully."
Huang Lei's lips curled up slightly, but his facial expression remained calm. "Why did you break up? Actually, Dr. Deng is a very nice person."
"Yes, he is a very nice person. It's my own problem." Zhao Yuenan responded seriously and continued to move forward.
Huang Lei wanted to say something, but Zhao Yuenan didn't give him a chance.
The atmosphere suddenly became depressing, and neither of them spoke until they were almost at Zhao Yuenan's door. Zhao Yuenan suddenly paused, turned around and said to Huang Lei, who had been following behind her, "I'm almost home, you go back!"

Huang Lei stood there alone, stunned for a long time, looking at her departing back. He was filled with motivation and chased after her without hesitation.
