Early in the morning, soft sunlight shone through the glass onto everyone. One by one, they slowly opened their eyes. Cheng Haoyu, still feeling dizzy, looked around, frowned slightly, and suddenly stood up: "Xinyi."
"Captain Cheng, what's wrong?" Wang Ye said while rubbing his forehead.
"Oh! Everyone drank too much last night." Huang Lei helped Zhao Yuenan slowly get up.
Zheng Xinyi and Bai Cuiping came over from the kitchen carrying rice porridge: "Is everyone awake?"
"Xinyi, I'm so sorry. I drank too much last night and didn't have time to check on you. Are you okay?" Cheng Haoyu subconsciously glanced at her stomach.
"Wife, where is our son?" Wang Ye asked.
Bai Cuiping rolled her eyes at him and said, "He's not awake yet! He's sleeping in the inner room."
"Xinyi, Cuiping, I'm so sorry! I knew you had been sitting on the train for such a long time and you were all very tired, so I shouldn't have let you drink so much last night." Liu Yun said with some embarrassment.
"Aunt, what are you talking about? Everyone was happy yesterday, so we got drunk." Zheng Xinyi said from the bottom of her heart.
"Everyone come and have some rice porridge!" Bai Cuiping served the rice porridge to everyone.
"I'm so sorry. You came all the way here, and we drank too much. We asked you to make porridge for us so early in the morning. I guess you didn't get any rest last night." Huang San said with a guilty tone.
"Uncle, we are old acquaintances. What's more, we are very familiar with Huang Lei and Zhao Yuenan. You don't have to be so polite to us. It doesn't matter whether you take good care of us or not. Besides, when I had no relatives in Beijing, it was all thanks to your care." Zheng Xinyi said from the bottom of her heart.
"That's right. When I opened a cloth shop, your aunt was my old customer and she took good care of me." Bai Cuiping responded.
"Okay, you guys eat! Cuiping and I want to go over and see Aunt Pang and the noodle shop owner." As she spoke, Zheng Xinyi had already grabbed Bai Cuiping's arm and was ready to leave.
"Xinyi, wait for me for a moment. After I finish this bowl of rice porridge, I'll go with you." Cheng Haoyu said, raising the bowl of porridge in his hand.
"No need. You all drank a lot last night. You should have a good rest. Cuiping and I will be back soon." Zheng Xinyi responded with a smile.
"Wang Ye, our son will wake up soon. Give him some milk powder. We're leaving." Bai Cuiping reminded him worriedly.
Wang Ye nodded slightly and made an OK gesture to reassure her.
Bai Cuiping supported Zheng Xinyi, glanced at her stomach, and said with some concern: "If you feel uncomfortable, please tell me immediately. We can sit down and rest at any time, or take you to get some medicine to maintain your pregnancy. These past few days have been very hard. You haven't passed the vomiting period yet, so you must pay attention to safety."
Zheng Xinyi smiled slightly: "You forgot that I am a doctor myself."
"As a doctor, you only know how to take care of others. You don't even know that you are pregnant, so I am really worried." Bai Cuiping said in a half-joking, half-seriously tone.
Before they knew it, the two of them had walked to the door of Brother Mao's pawnshop while talking and laughing. They cast meaningful glances at the house, feeling an indescribable emotion in their hearts.
"The first time we met was in this store. You, a girl, suddenly took out such a large sum of money to buy my cloth shop. To be honest, I was really shocked at the time." Bai Cuiping said with a smile.
