The transfer procedure is very simple. Both parties provide a certificate to prove their identity and stamp it with a few legally recognized seals. From then on, the house belongs to Zheng Xinyi.
"Sister, do you have a lot of things? Do you need Wang Ye to help you move them over?" Bai Cuiping asked kindly after completing the transfer procedures.
"No need, I don't have much stuff. You have a long way to go, so you'd better hurry up!" Zheng Xinyi said.
"Okay, then we'll go. When I have the chance to come to Beijing again in the future, I will come to see you." Bai Cuiping patted her hands.
Zheng Xinyi nodded slightly and said, "Be careful on the road."
Wang Ye and Bai Cuiping drove the carriage onto the road. From a distance, Bai Cuiping was waving at them. After all, she had been in Beijing for so many years and had run this cloth shop for so many years. To be honest, she felt a little reluctant to leave.
"Wife, I really don't understand what this girl is thinking. The battalion commander is such a good man, but she doesn't want him?" Wang Ye asked curiously on the way.
Bai Cuiping glanced at him. She really liked Zheng Xinyi from the bottom of her heart, so she started to defend her: "Your battalion commander is so popular in the army, can you guarantee that he didn't betray Xinyi?"
"Hey! Although the battalion commander is very popular among girls of the opposite sex in the army, he is really a loyal man." Wang Ye was telling the truth. Ever since he decided on this marriage, Zheng Xinyi's photo has been following him, just to tell his friends of the opposite sex that he is a taken man.
"Don't talk nonsense when you get to the army. Everyone has their own aspirations. Maybe your battalion commander just doesn't catch Xinyi's eye." Bai Cuiping reminded seriously.
Standing at the door of the shop and watching the carriage disappear from her sight, Zheng Xinyi felt an indescribable sour feeling in her heart.
"Xinyi, I'll help you move your things over here, and then I have to go to work. The factory has been very busy lately and is short of staff. I was planning to take a day off to help you clean up, but my boss wouldn't allow it." Huang San said with a sense of guilt.
Zheng Xinyi responded with a smile: "I am very grateful to my brother-in-law."
Huang San put the big box that Zheng Xinyi had packed on the bicycle. He pushed the bicycle in front, and Zheng Xinyi held the box in the back. As soon as they walked out of the yard, Xiao Mao, humming a little tune like a little gangster, holding a branch in his mouth and shrinking his neck, saw Zheng Xinyi and the big box in her hand and came forward: "Hey, are you moving out?"
"Xinyi, hurry up, I'm in a hurry." Huang San didn't give him a good look and pushed the car faster.
At the entrance of the tavern, the old man nodded cheerfully to Zheng Xinyi. Looking at the wrinkles on his face and thinking of that bowl of steaming hot noodles, Zheng Xinyi felt a pang of sadness. She bent down and held the old man's hand, which was calloused by Cui Yue. "Uncle, I'll come back to see you when I have time."
"Okay, okay." The old man shook his hand back and nodded repeatedly.
"Uncle, has the old man always been alone? Where are his children?" Zheng Xinyi had lived here for such a long time and had never seen the old man's children, so she asked curiously.
"Speaking of this old man Li, he was a man with a miserable life. His wife died when he was young, leaving him two sons and a daughter. As he had no stable income, he could not afford to raise these three children, so he gave his youngest daughter away. Later, his eldest son died of illness. His second son was idle all day long and now no one knows whether he is dead or alive. He hasn't come back to see his father for several years." Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Huang have helped the old man in the convenience store a lot, so they naturally know about his affairs.
After hearing this story, Zheng Xinyi felt even worse. She turned around and looked at the lonely figure squatting at the door, who seemed to be expecting something. Zheng Xinyi's tears flowed down.
