Seeing Zheng Xinyi's determined eyes, Bai Cuiping's heart began to panic. She swallowed hard and tried to calm herself down: "Xinyi, calm down first. It's just a dream. It's not real."
Zheng Xinyi threw off the quilt without a care in the world, got up barefoot, and rushed out the door.
"Xinyi, Xinyi, where are you going?" Seeing that things were not going well, Bai Cuiping immediately chased after him.
"Haoyu is in trouble. I have to go save him. He is waiting for me to save him." Zheng Xinyi called out while running like a madman.
"Xinyi." Bai Cuiping chased after her relentlessly.
"Ah!" followed by a painful scream.
Looking around, Bai Cuiping was stunned. Zheng Xinyi fell to the ground, covering her stomach with her hands, looking as if she was in excruciating pain.
"Xinyi." Bai Cuiping called out loudly, ran over, and carefully helped her up: "Xinyi, how do you feel?"
"My stomach hurts so much." Zheng Xinyi said, holding her stomach.
"Xinyi, hold on a little while, I'll take you to the hospital right away." Bai Cuiping supported her and started walking towards the military hospital.
"Ah!" Zheng Xinyi fainted on the ground and found it difficult to take a step.
"Xinyi." When Bai Cuiping saw the blood on her pants, she suddenly felt dumbfounded. She widened her eyes and looked around. It was late at night and the place was quiet. She felt extremely helpless.
"Who is it?" the soldier on night shift came over and asked.
Bai Cuiping's lips curled up slightly, feeling like she had seen a life-saving straw: "Captain Cheng's wife may be giving birth."
After hearing Bai Cuiping's response, the soldier picked up Zheng Xinyi and ran to the military hospital without saying a word.
At that time, Dr. Deng was changing the dressing for the patient when he heard hurried footsteps in the hospital corridor.
"Doctor Deng, Doctor Deng." Bai Cuiping called out repeatedly.
A bad premonition came over Dr. Deng. He knew something must have happened. He quickly handed the work to the nurse next to him, pushed the door open, and looked at Zheng Xinyi in the soldier's arms. He was stunned: "What's going on?"
"Doctor Deng, I think Xinyi may be about to give birth." Bai Cuiping didn't have time to explain too much.
"How is that possible? Isn't the due date still a week away?" Dr. Deng asked curiously.
"She just fell down." Bai Cuiping responded concisely and clearly.
Doctor Deng looked at the blood on her pants and immediately understood everything: "Hurry and take her to the delivery room."
"Doctor Deng, you must do your best to keep the mother and her two children safe." Bai Cuiping said hurriedly, grabbing his arm.
"Don't worry, I will." Dr. Deng responded seriously, then turned and entered the delivery room.
Bai Cuiping was restless outside the delivery room. She clenched her fists and kept wandering in the corridor, silently praying that Xinyi, her mother and her two children were safe.
In the delivery room, Zheng Xinyi was sweating from the pain and her face had lost all color.
"Doctor Zheng, Doctor Zheng, how could it become like this?" Li Qing rushed over as soon as he heard the news. Seeing Zheng Xinyi in such a miserable state, he burst into tears.
"Li Qing, start preparing quickly. Dr. Zheng's baby is about to be born." Dr. Deng said as he prepared for the delivery.
"Doctor Deng, listen to me. If anything unexpected happens, don't worry about me. You must keep the baby in my belly safe." Zheng Xinyi held his arm and begged.
