Bai Cuiping carried Chongyang all the way home from the military hospital. When she reached the door of her house, she felt something was wrong. She looked back and saw darkness everywhere. Thinking she was hallucinating, she lifted Chongyang up in her arms and said, "Son, we're home."
Just as I was about to reach out to push the door, I heard a voice behind me calling, "Cui Ping."
Bai Cuiping's nerves became tense and she stood there like a statue. She didn't dare to look back, fearing that it was just another hallucination.
"Cui Ping, it's Wang Ye!" The voice behind her called out louder.
Bai Cuiping widened her eyes, her lips trembling slightly, and she turned around suddenly, seeing Wang Ye standing in front of her in a disheveled state.
"Wang Ye? Is that you? Is it really you?" Bai Cuiping looked him up and down with an incredulous tone.
"Cui Ping, it's me, I'm Wang Ye, I'm back." Wang Ye called out in an excited tone.
"Wang Ye, you're finally back." Bai Cuiping's strong heart could no longer be strong, and suddenly became soft. She reached out and patted Chongyang in her arms: "Son, son, wake up quickly, look who's back?"
Wang Chongyang opened his eyes drowsily and rubbed them subconsciously with the back of his hand. His features lit up with joy. He broke away from Bai Cuiping's arms and suddenly rushed over: "Dad."
"Son." Wang Ye picked up Wang Chongyang with both hands and lifted him high. The scene of the father and son reuniting became a beautiful picture.
Then Wang Ye glanced at Bai Cuiping, who was standing there in a daze, and put his son down: "Chongyang, go into the house first."
Wang Chongyang went into the house obediently.
Wang Ye smiled and opened his arms to Bai Cuiping. Bai Cuiping smiled with tears in her eyes and suddenly rushed over. At this moment, even if ten cows pulled her, she would never look back.
"Cui Ping, you've lost weight." Wang Ye said with a distressed tone.
"You're talking about me, aren't you the same?" Bai Cuiping reached out and patted his arm.
Wang Ye screamed subconsciously, grimacing in pain.
"Wang Ye, what's wrong with you?" Bai Cuiping realized that something was wrong and looked at his arm with concern.
Wang Ye smiled slightly: "It's okay."
"Let me see, is your arm injured?" Bai Cuiping grabbed his arm. Although Wang Yeyi was hiding it and didn't want him to know that he was injured, Bai Cuiping insisted and insisted on seeing what was going on. She rolled up his sleeves and was stunned.
Such a large bloody wound would make the injured person, and even the people watching, feel the pain deeply.
"Cui Ping, it's okay. It's just a minor injury. It will be fine in a few days." Wang Ye responded with an indifferent expression.
"How can this be a minor injury? If it's not treated properly, it will get infected. Come on, I'll take you to the hospital to get bandaged." As she spoke, Bai Cuiping was about to take her to the military hospital.
Wang Ye suddenly pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly with both arms: "Cui Ping, I'm really fine. There's no need to go to the hospital. Everyone is very busy and tired now. Most importantly, I don't want to go to the hospital. At this moment, I just want to be with you and our son."
Bai Cuiping didn't know what Wang Ye and the others had experienced. She felt that Wang Ye was really scared this time, afraid that he would lose herself and Chongyang.
"Then come with me into the house and I'll give you a simple bandage." Bai Cuiping said.
