Zheng Xinyi did not sleep well that night. Her inner emotions were complicated. Looking at Ai Yu who was sleeping so soundly, the corners of her mouth curled up slightly, and her heart was full of reluctance and love.
I am going to Beijing tomorrow, and I don’t know whether this trip is a blessing or a curse. In short, everything is confusing.
At daybreak, Ai Yu had already woken up and began to babble, his two dark eyes rolling around.
"My son, are you awake?" Zheng Xinyi gently picked him up.
When it was daybreak, Zhang Fengrong had already prepared breakfast and knocked on Xinyi's door: "Xinyi, are you awake? I made some corn porridge for the child. Come out and have some."
Zheng Xinyi opened the door. It was only one night, but Zhang Fengrong felt like they had been separated for a long time. Without hesitation, he took Ai Yu from Xinyi's arms. Looking at him, his eyes were full of smiles. He said to Xinyi in a kind tone, "I'm going to feed the child. You quickly clean up and prepare for dinner."
"Is Ai Yu awake?" Cheng Haoting also ran over to tease Ai Yu, and said with a smile: "Mom, Ai Yu called me mom last night, which made my sister-in-law very happy."
Zhang Fengrong rolled her eyes at her and said, "Stop talking nonsense. The child is only a few months old. How could he possibly speak?"
"Really? If you don't believe me, go ask my sister-in-law." Haoting responded in a tone that said I'm not lying.
Zhang Fengrong was too lazy to pay attention to her, nor did she want to argue with her about this matter. She hugged Ai Yu and turned to leave, leaving Cheng Haoting alone in a daze. She reached out and touched the back of her head in confusion: "Could it be that my sister-in-law is hallucinating?"
"Dinner is ready, dinner is ready." Cheng Dayu called out while sitting at the dining table.
Zheng Xinyi walked over and looked around: "Where's Haoyang?"
"He went to the station early in the morning to buy a ticket for you. You should pack your things and let Haoyang take you to the station." Cheng Dayu said.
Zhang Fengrong handed Xinyi the eggs he had cooked specially for her that morning: "Xinyi, I cooked this for you early in the morning. Take it with you and eat it on the road."
"Mom, no need. You've had a hard time at home, and now there's another child, Ai Yu. You should leave these eggs for the child!" Zheng Xinyi began to refuse.
"Xinyi, your mother asked you to take it, so just take it. Ai Yu is our grandson. You can leave him to us without worry. We will definitely not treat him badly." Cheng Dayu said.
Zheng Xinyi nodded slightly and said, "Of course I know you won't treat Ai Yu badly, otherwise why would I specially come all the way here to send Ai Yu back."
"Sister-in-law, you can go find brother without worry. We are at home. We promise that when you come back, you will see a plump and white Ai Yu." Cheng Haoting said seriously.
"Thank you." Zheng Xinyi said with tears in her eyes.
"What are you talking about, kid? Ai Yu is my biological grandson. As a grandmother, I love him so much. Let alone taking care of him for a while, I would be willing to take care of Ai Yu for the rest of his life." Zhang Fengrong responded from the bottom of her heart.
"Haoting, pour me a glass of water quickly." Cheng Haoyang pushed the door open and walked in.
Haoting quickly poured a glass of water and handed it to Haoyang.
"Son, how is it? Have you bought the train ticket?" Cheng Dayu asked.
Cheng Haoyang drank the water in his cup in one gulp. "How could there be anything he couldn't accomplish if your son personally took action?" He then handed the ticket to Zheng Xinyi. "This morning's train. I'll take you to the station after dinner."
