Zheng Xinyi smiled helplessly and tightened her grip on the water glass: "Cheng Haoyu, I've already said this, why are you still pretending? Yes, I, Zheng Xinyi, like you, but I'm not the kind of woman who will pester you. If you really have a change of heart, just tell me everything."
"I...I..." Ah Lang stammered, not knowing how to explain for a moment.
"Cheng Haoyu, what's wrong with you? You were not like this when you were in the army. You have always been a man who dares to do and take responsibility. The soldiers in the army all regard you as a role model. But what's wrong with you now?" Zheng Xinyi really couldn't control herself anymore and yelled at him like a madman.
"What? Troops?" For some reason, Cheng Haoyu was particularly sensitive to this word.
"What? Have you forgotten those brothers in the army who went through life and death with you?" Zheng Xinyi asked.
Some vague fragments suddenly flashed through Alang's mind. He tried hard to grasp those scattered fragments, but as soon as he tried to recall them, his headache began to come.
He subconsciously held his head with both hands, looking extremely painful.
At first Xinyi thought he was pretending, but the more she looked at him, the more she felt something was wrong. His black eyeballs kept rolling in between his white ones. She reached out and patted his arm that was holding his head, and asked softly, "Haoyu, what's wrong with you?"
"My head hurts." Alang responded in detail.
"Headache? Why do you have a headache?" Zheng Xinyi asked in confusion.
"I don't know either. Every time I think hard, I get a headache." Cheng Haoyu responded with a particularly painful expression.
"Haoyu, are you okay?" Zheng Xinyi looked at him with concern: "Drink some water, calm yourself down, and don't think about anything."
Zheng Xinyi handed him the cup of water. Alang took it and drank it all. Zheng Xinyi's hand kept stroking his chest to calm him down.
After a while, Alang sighed deeply. When he stopped trying to recall the past, his head didn't hurt as much anymore and he felt much calmer.
"What's going on with you? When did you start having headaches?" Zheng Xinyi, with her many years of medical experience, felt something was wrong, so she started to ask.
"I don't know either, but I heard from Biying that I had a serious illness at the beginning of the year. I had a very severe fever and almost lost my life. I think my headache is probably a sequelae left over from that time." Alang responded in detail.
"Aftereffects?" Zheng Xinyi felt something was wrong the more she looked at him. "When did you join the troupe?"
"Boss Fang said that I joined the opera troupe when I was a child, but I don't know why? I have no recollection of it. Biying said that it was because of the serious illness I had at the beginning of the year that I forgot everything. Now I dare not recall it hard. Every time I try a little, I get a severe headache." Alang responded without reservation.
"So you have no memory of the past? To put it bluntly, you have lost your memory?" Zheng Xinyi asked in a tone of disbelief.
Ah Lang nodded slightly, "You could say that."
Zheng Xinyi was suddenly surprised and delighted. With mixed emotions, her arm fell into his: "So you didn't forget me? It's because you lost your memory and don't remember the past."
