Xinyi and Brother Mao were discussing tomorrow's plan. Everyone's face was very solemn and they were listening attentively to Xinyi's arrangements.
"Don't worry, sister-in-law. With my brother Mao personally coming here, and with your perfect plan, we will definitely be able to rescue my brother. I, Mao, don't take a mere opera troupe seriously." Brother Mao saw the worry in Zheng Xinyi's eyes, so he began to persuade her with confidence.
"Brother Mao, I'm afraid a conflict between the two sides is inevitable tomorrow. We just need to rescue Haoyu, try not to hurt innocent people, and don't alert the police." Zheng Xinyi knew Brother Mao's strength in Beijing, but she didn't want to make a big deal out of it, let alone hurt innocent people.
Brother Mao nodded slightly and said, "Don't worry! I understand what my sister-in-law means. As long as they are willing to let my brother go tomorrow, I promise not to make things difficult for them."
"Are you all hungry? I made some simple food. Let's have a bite." Liu Yun came out of the kitchen with a big pot of food.
"Xinyi." Zheng Xinyi had just picked up the bowl and chopsticks when she heard someone calling her name from behind. She looked up and was stunned.
"Xinyi, you've lost weight again." Cheng Haoyu looked at her with a distressed look on his face.
Zheng Xinyi glanced at everyone who was eating. Knowing that they couldn't see Cheng Haoyu, she quickly and rationally controlled her excitement, put down her bowl and chopsticks, and twisted her neck: "I didn't sleep well last night, and now I feel very sleepy. You all eat slowly, I'll go into the house and take a nap."
"Xinyi, you didn't eat anything yesterday. You can't go on like this! You should eat something before you go to rest." Liu Yun said with concern.
"Aunt, I'm really not hungry. I just want to sleep now." As she spoke, Zheng Xinyi pulled Cheng Haoyu into the inner room.
Seeing that no one had any doubts, she quietly closed the door and suddenly threw herself into Cheng Haoyu's arms, hugging him tightly with her arms, and whispered, "Haoyu, I really missed you so much. I waited for you all night last night, but you didn't come."
"Xinyi, I miss you too." Cheng Haoyu responded from the bottom of his heart.
"Haoyu, did something happen to you in the troupe? Why did you disappear as soon as you went there? Uncle Huang and I went to the troupe to look for you, but they wouldn't let us see you at all." Zheng Xinyi asked anxiously.
Cheng Haoyu frowned slightly: "Xinyi, I don't know, I don't know anything."
Cheng Haoyu was not trying to hide it, but he really didn't know what had happened to him. His eyeballs kept turning in his whites, and he tried hard to recall his time in the troupe, but his mind was blank and he couldn't remember anything. In a moment of anxiety, the note in his palm fell to the ground.
"What is this?" Zheng Xinyi asked curiously.
Cheng Haoyu looked at the note on the ground with a confused look on his face and shook his head gently at Zheng Xinyi.
Zheng Xinyi bent down and picked up the note. Together, they unfolded the exquisitely folded note. It contained black and white words that clearly described what had happened to Cheng Haoyu in the troupe over the past two days. It also explained clearly that Cheng Haoyu had not broken his promise, but that the circumstances were special and he had been completely imprisoned.
"This is my handwriting. I wrote it myself." Cheng Haoyu recognized his own handwriting and said while holding the paper with trembling hands.
