Chapter 89: Tie the Red Thread

Liu Yun rolled his eyes at Huang San, and when he turned around, he saw Huang Lei entering the courtyard. He hurried out to greet him, "Son, how are you?"

Huang Lei stupidly glanced at Cheng Haoyu and Huang San, who were staring at him with wide eyes. "What's going on?"

Liu Yun scratched his head anxiously: "I'm asking you what you think of Xinyi?"

Huang Lei raised a smile: "She's a very good girl."

"How would you feel if she became your wife?" Huang San finally couldn't help but blurt out a question. Cheng Haoyu and Liu Yunqi cast their eyes on Huang San. Huang San smiled and said, "I'm asking on behalf of your mother."

Cheng Haoyu felt like his heart was on fire, his heart was beating fast, and he stared at Huang Lei, waiting for his next words.

"I'm just afraid that others will look down on me." Huang Lei lowered his head embarrassedly.

Liu Yunle couldn't close his mouth and patted Huang Lei on the shoulder: "Son, as long as you like it, leave the rest to me."

Huang San's face was also full of smiles. He poured tea for Cheng Haoyu with a smile: "Drink more, drink more."

Chen Haoyu and Huang Lei slept in the same room. Huang Lei had been in high spirits since he met Zheng Xinyi. He took off his clothes and got into bed without hesitation.

Cheng Haoyu, who was sitting beside the bed, began to feel upset. He reached out and patted Huang Lei: "You...are you really in love with Zheng Xinyi?"

"What's the problem?" Huang Lei asked, sitting up with a quilt wrapped around him.

"How long have you two known each other? Shouldn't you get to know each other better?" Cheng Haoyu said seriously.

"Battalion Commander, you don't understand this. Wang Ye, whom you accepted, fell in love with Bai Cuiping at first sight. Look how happy the couple is now. So, liking something doesn't depend on length. It's enough to make up your mind." After he finished speaking, Huang Lei lay down again. When Cheng Haoyu was about to say something, he heard his snoring. He curled his lips, turned off the lights, and lay down.

But he was so worried that he tossed and turned in bed and couldn't fall asleep. He simply put on his clothes and went for a walk outside. After getting dressed, he took out the snacks he had prepared long ago from the package. Since he couldn't fall asleep anyway, he might as well go to the clinic. He thought it was so late that Zheng Xinyi would have gone to bed long ago, but he didn't expect that the lights were still on in the clinic, so he reached out and knocked on the door.

Zheng Xinyi, who was napping on the bar, heard a knock on the door and got up to open it. She thought it was Zhou Shui who had returned, but the moment she opened the door, she was stunned: "It's so late, why are you here?"

"I brought you some snacks from the army." Cheng Haoyu looked at Zheng Xinyi and handed the snacks in his hand to her.

Zheng Xinyi tightened her grip around the dim sum: "Come in!"

Cheng Haoyu turned around, took the tea that Zheng Xinyi had poured for him, glanced at Zheng Xinyi who was sitting on the chair with him, took a deep breath, and asked tentatively, "You...get along very well with the Huang family. It seems that Uncle Huang and Aunt Huang like you very much."

Zheng Xinyi nodded slightly and responded naturally: "Uncle Huang and Auntie are both good people."

"Yeah." Cheng Haoyu drank the tea in his hand: "Is Zhou Shui not back yet?"

"Yeah! I was worried too." As she said this, Zheng Xinyi looked at the door where no one was seen. Maybe it was too late, and she couldn't help yawning.

"Zhou Shui is such an old man, he will be fine. You should go to bed early! I'm leaving." Cheng Haoyu put down the teacup, pushed the door and left under the escort of Zheng Xinyi.
