Fang, the head of the household, glanced at the locked door, frowned slightly, and said to Liu Si, "You go and do your work first! I'll go talk to Biying."
Liu Si casually handed the food to Fang Dangjia and said, "I really can't do anything about Biying. Please help me persuade her. A Lang is already a thing of the past. Don't let her be sad for someone who is not worth it."
"You go down first!" said Mr. Fang unhappily.
Liu Si nodded slightly, then turned and left.
Mr. Fang sighed deeply, feeling exhausted both physically and mentally. One problem after another arose. His daughter was really something. Ever since she met this A Lang, she had never given him a moment of peace of mind.
He took a step forward and knocked on the door: "Daughter, it's me."
Fang Biying recognized the voice of Fang Dangjia and immediately panicked. Her black eyeballs kept rolling in her white pupils. She reached out to touch the wound on her face and muttered to herself in the mirror: "I can't let my father see the wound on my face. I can't let him see me like this."
"Biying, open the door. Dad wants to talk to you about something." Seeing no response from inside, Mr. Fang knocked on the door again.
"Dad, what do you want to talk to me about?" Fang Biying asked.
When Mr. Fang heard the sound in the room, his heart was relieved: "Open the door first."
Fang Biying deliberately yawned: "Dad, let's talk about it tomorrow! I didn't sleep well last night, and now I want to take another nap."
"Biying, don't hide it from dad anymore. Dad knows everything." Mr. Fang called out.
Fang Biying was stunned for a moment, and reached out to touch her swollen cheeks and the bruises on her forehead, with an expression of surprise that her father knew everything.
"My silly child, are you going to suffocate yourself in the room? Open the door quickly and tell your daddy if you feel wronged or helpless. Your daddy is your best support. If you don't eat or drink like this, you will get sick. Aren't you deliberately making your dad feel distressed?" Mr. Fang called out.
Fang Biying's hand on her face slowly fell, and big pearls of tears burst out of her eyes. She bit her lip, stood up and opened the door.
When Mr. Fang saw her red and swollen cheeks and the bruises on her forehead, he was stunned and dropped the food in his hand. He widened his eyes and asked, "Biying, where did you get the wound on your face?"
Fang Biying's eyes were blurred with tears. She looked at Mr. Fang pitifully and called out in a heartbreaking tone, "Dad."
Then she threw herself into Mr. Fang's arms, tears of grievance falling down.
Mr. Fang caressed her back distressedly, his eyes full of heartache: "My dear daughter, tell me what happened to the wound on your face? From childhood to adulthood, I have never dared to touch a hair on your head. Who is so bold as to beat you like this?"
Fang Biying just shed tears silently, but lowered her head and said nothing, because she didn't know how to tell Mr. Fang.
Seeing that she hadn't spoken for a long time, Fang Dangjia took the initiative to ask: "Did Alang beat you like this? Or did the woman next to him touch you?"
Fang Biying shook her head gently: "Neither."
"Who is that? Speak quickly! Are you trying to make me die of anxiety?" Mr. Fang asked anxiously.
"It was Liu Si, it was Liu Si who beat me." Fang Biying cried and called out.
