Cheng Haoyu quickly drank a bowl of corn porridge, then yawned continuously and said in a slurred voice, "You guys take your time eating, I'm going to sleep first."
Zheng Xinyi glanced at everyone and picked up a purple sweet potato: "I'm exhausted too. I'm going to sleep first. You guys take your time eating."
After Cheng Haoyu stood up, he realized he didn't know which direction to go. He looked around and didn't even know where his room was. Fortunately, Zheng Xinyi had an idea and saw through his little thoughts. She stood up and pulled him away quickly, so he didn't attract anyone's attention.
Looking at their backs as they walked away, Cheng Haoting put down the vegetable dumplings in her hand and whispered, "Dad, Haoyang, do you feel that there seems to be something wrong with big brother coming back this time?"
Cheng Dayu frowned slightly, glanced at Cheng Haoyu, and asked softly, "Did you find out too?"
Zhang Fengrong rolled his eyes at him, interrupting their mysterious conversation. "What did you find? My son seems fine, nothing's wrong. It's just you two who are being so secretive, like something's wrong?" He then turned his gaze to Cheng Haoyang and pressed him, "Son, have you noticed anything wrong with your brother?"
Cheng Haoyang glanced at Cheng Dayu and Cheng Haoting and swallowed: "I don't know either."
"You little brat, are you my biological son? You're so unsteady on your stance." Zhang Fengrong gently nudged him with his elbow.
Cheng Haoyang frowned slightly: "Oh, I really don't know."
Then he lowered his head and began to eat in silence.
The child in Zhang Fengrong's arms began to rub his eyes gently with his little hands, and called out hesitantly.
"My eldest grandson is sleepy, Haoting. After dinner, please clear the table. I'm going to coax my eldest grandson to sleep." As he spoke, Zhang Fengrong stood up and left while rocking Ai Yu in his arms.
Cheng Haoyu stood in his room and looked around: "Is this the room I used to sleep in? Is this our wedding room?"
"Yeah! How is it? Does this house feel familiar to you?" Zheng Xinyi asked with a smile, hoping that this room, which had been with Haoyu since childhood, could inspire him and remind him of something. But seeing his bewildered expression, Xinyi knew the result. She let go of Haoyu's arm with a bit of disappointment and said, "I'll go make the bed."
"Xinyi, I don't remember that Haoting doesn't like purple sweet potatoes. Do you think they will become suspicious of me now?" Cheng Haoyu asked in a worried tone.
"Shouldn't it be? Didn't we smooth it over very well back then? And I don't think anyone else is particularly concerned about this. You've been away from home for a long time, so it's normal for you to forget Haoting's taste for a while." Zheng Xinyi responded. Seeing that Cheng Haoyu still had a serious expression, she sat down beside him and suggested, "Haoyu, if this really doesn't work, let's just tell everyone about your amnesia!"
Cheng Haoyu glanced up at Zheng Xinyi and hesitated for a moment: "I'm afraid everyone will be disappointed if they know that I have lost my memory. The two old people are old. If they knew that their biological son didn't remember them, could they bear such a blow?"
"It seems like we have no choice but to keep it a secret for now." Zheng Xinyi said helplessly.
