Chapter 162 Robbery

Chapter 162 Robbery

After saying this, Zhang Wei was prepared for the old man to continue making trouble, but unexpectedly, his fierce eyes immediately lost their luster, and his voice suddenly became extremely sad:

"I don't deserve a good sleep..."

Zhang Wei was a little overwhelmed by this sudden emotion. She was about to say something when the old man staggered away.

"Vera, are you okay?" Betty came over and asked.

Seeing Zhang Wei shake his head, Betty seemed to be relieved and said, "He has always had a bad temper, but he won't do anything bad, don't be afraid!"

"Do you know all these people?" Zhang Wei was a little curious.

"Partly, yes. Sometimes people still talk about it. Even though they look pitiful now, they weren't good people in the past. God is letting them redeem the debt they owed."

"Then why did you come to help them?"

"I also have my own debts to redeem." Betty's expression suddenly became depressed.

Only then did Zhang Wei realize that she had never heard Betty talk about her past. It seemed that everyone had their own story.

Fortunately, no one had anything stolen this time, and everyone was very happy.

Excluding the time spent on the road, the whole process took less than an hour. Zhang Wei didn't feel tired at all. Meeting many different kinds of people whom he had never met before was also a different experience.

On the way back, the driver had to pee urgently, so he found an alley entrance to get out of the car to relieve himself. Zhang Wei and the others waited in the car. Unexpectedly, the accident happened less than two minutes after they stopped there.

When Zhang Wei saw Kane, one of the two young volunteers, had a black hole on the back of his head, she didn't react at first.

Betty hugged her in her arms and heard Kane's trembling voice:

"Calm...quiet! Brother, what do you want?"

"Money! And this car!" said a muffled voice.

Zhang Wei's heart skipped a beat when he heard the voice, and he felt that this person was quite big.

"Hurry! Get out of the car!" He hit the car door with something, making the car slam loudly.

Zhang Wei was considering the possibility of climbing to the front and driving the car when he saw Kane and the others opening the car door and moving out.

Zhang Wei touched the mobile phone in her arms. She set the shortcut key and was about to make a call, but after hesitating for a moment, she didn't make the call.

After all, she had no trust in the police here, and calling Charles and his wife might cause even greater trouble.

At this time, Betty had already pulled her out of the car from the other side door. Although Zhang Wei had some skills, the possibility of her being able to resist thermal weapons was zero.

She also obediently followed Betty's lead and turned around and raised her hands. They were facing the intersection and saw the driver take off as soon as he saw their situation.

"Bang!"

This was the first time Zhang Wei heard the sound of a wooden warehouse up close, and he was shocked.

Although she had occasionally heard this sound during her many years abroad, this was the first time she had heard it so close.

The driver was not hit, but he was forced to stop and could only walk to Zhang Wei and the others with his hands raised.

There were five of them in total, but they were subdued by one person, and the robber was not trying to scare them. Zhang Wei had no doubt that bullets would be fired immediately if they made any movement.

This was the first time she was so close to danger...

If the five of them had a little more tacit understanding, they might be able to subdue the robber. However, whether it was the driver or the others, they all seemed to let him do what he wanted and did not seem to have any intention of resisting.

"Money! Take it out! Throw it on the ground!" the robber continued to urge.

Zhang Wei took out dozens of dollars from her small bag and threw them on the ground three or four meters away from them. She glanced at Betty, and Betty also threw the money there.

She silently calculated the distance in her mind and wanted to wait for the robber to bend down to pick up the money to see if there was a chance to escape. Maybe he would take the money and let them go.

But when Zhang Wei finally saw the robber's true face, she felt that their chances of escape were slim, because he looked like a black iron tower, probably about 1.9 meters tall. Perhaps they could only wait for him to let them go.

But God didn't stand on Zhang Wei's side. He was probably punishing her for her past impiety. The robber with the foul smell bared his teeth and said:

"Look, look, there's actually a yellow person who comes to pity the homeless people?" Then he looked at Betty and said:

"As a black person, don't you feel ashamed to be with hypocritical white people and lowly yellow people?"

Zhang Wei's heart tightened. It seemed that the robbers would not let them go so easily. No one had passed by this road for such a long time, which made her wonder if the driver deliberately chose to park in this remote place.

"Today I'll show you that I'm the boss in this area! What do white people have to be proud of?"

Betty ignored him and just looked at the ground with her eyes downcast. Zhang Wei saw that he was getting more and more excited as he spoke. At first, the wooden basket in his hand was pointing at the driver, but later it was pointing back and forth between them.

Zhang Wei couldn't bear it any longer, so she planned to find a chance to kick his thing away with her legs. She estimated her strength and height, and prepared to kick upwards, so that if the kick went off accidentally, it would not hit anyone.

Just as she was about to take action, she looked at the entrance of the alley, her eyes paused, and then immediately regained her composure.

Just when she thought the man was about to leave, he slowly walked behind the robber. Not only Zhang Wei, but also Betty and the others saw that the old man who poured out a large pot of coffee—

The robber bent down slightly, pointed the weapon in his hand at Zhang Wei and the others, and waved it back and forth while quickly picking up money with his other hand, when his body suddenly stiffened.

Zhang Wei immediately seized the opportunity. With the right height and distance, he kicked the iron thing that was threatening everyone several meters away with a "clang".

But Zhang Wei couldn't miss any chance of a threat, so he rushed over in two or three steps, picked it up and pointed it at the robber.

At this time, the robber had raised his hands, and Zhang Wei saw that the weapon against the robber's waist was another big weapon in the old man's hand.

"Let me go, I didn't do anything!" The black robber's tone changed drastically at this time.

"You were still nursing when I was cutting people up. How dare you steal things on my territory?"

The old man ridiculed the robber severely, making him run away in disgrace, then he kicked his big thing into his arms and turned to leave.

"Wait! Please wait!" Zhang Wei stopped him.

"I'm not a beggar!" He looked at the change on the ground with disdain.

Zhang Wei immediately said, "I think you need some good coffee as a reward for your friendship!"

He turned around and pulled the corners of his mouth, as if smiling, but immediately returned to a somewhat ferocious expression. Without looking back, he walked away and said:

"Send it to the entrance of the alley at 59 Sunset Street. Someone will pick it up!"
