Chapter 168 Additional Training

Chapter 168 Additional Training

"Let me try," Dora said, and then immediately changed the subject and asked:

"What did Paris say to you when he left?"

"We can go to the library to read together when we have time. I have already agreed for you."

"Oh, then he's so boring. But I'm going back to Switzerland the day after tomorrow. My parents asked me to go back."

"You didn't tell me before, I thought you could stay longer like me!"

Zhang Wei didn't expect that the time they spent together would be so short. This is the side effect of growing up.

However, after Dora went back, Zhang Wei had no time to look for Paris, because Venus arranged special training for her and Namir.

It was about shooting and more intense close combat. Although Venus was quite satisfied with their physical reaction abilities, she was disappointed with their physical fitness which had hardly improved.

So for the next month or so, Venus took them to a special adult training club for devilish training.

From the moment I open my eyes in the morning to before I go to bed at night, half of the day is filled with high-intensity physical training, and the other half is filled with shooting and fighting.

It can be said that Zhang Wei fell asleep as soon as she lay down, and she was so tired that she couldn't even move her fingers. Venus shook her head while watching them train, saying that they had some potential before, but now they can't catch up with their outstanding peers.

This statement had no killing power to Zhang Wei, but it was very useful to Namir. There were several boys of similar age to him in the club, and they were well-trained. Although Namir was one of the best in the school, there was still some gap compared with the boys who specialized in this training.

Namir was knocked down as soon as he arrived, although in Zhang Wei's opinion, Namir's movements and reaction speed were already very good.

Zhang Wei also had a sparring match with a girl who was only about twelve years old. It was not that she didn't want to compete with older girls, but the older girls were unwilling to compete with her. She looked much smaller than these strong girls who had received special training. Others felt that they were bullying her, so Zhang Wei could only find such a little girl.

The other twelve-year-old girls looked at Zhang Wei's not very strong limbs and the fact that she was obviously a non-professional from school, and some of them didn't take her seriously.

The black girl with pigtails rushed over and grabbed Zhang Wei's clothes and tried to push her to the ground. Zhang Wei lowered her head and dodged her hand, then stepped behind her and kicked her in the knee.

Unexpectedly, after taking the kick, she just bent her legs slightly and still stood straight.

This gave Zhang Wei some understanding of a girl's power. At this time, she also began to receive attacks from the girl. Although her attacks were not fast, it really hurt to be hit. She was accidentally hit by a punch on the waist, and it hurt so much that she wanted to lift up her clothes to see, there must be bruises.

She was strong, but Zhang Wei was flexible. In the end, both of them fell to the ground. Zhang Wei used her hands and feet to hit the girl randomly. Although she was hit a lot, the girl was also hit many times. It was only when Venus called for a stop that the two of them stopped.

After Zhang Wei got up, she felt pain all over her body. On the contrary, the girl looked as if nothing had happened. Zhang Wei felt that she had still lost. She was holding on with a spirit of not admitting defeat.

However, the fact that she didn't lose made those girls look at her differently. After all, in the eyes of these people who were about to be trained as professional fighters or bodyguards, Zhang Wei and the others were just here to experience life.

Namir was not so lucky. I heard that after he lost, different people came to challenge him every day, probably wanting to take the opportunity to teach him a lesson.

Namir also has a strong will. At the beginning, he was beaten so badly that he couldn't get up, but gradually he was able to fight some people on equal terms.

However, Zhang Wei first focused her attention on the wooden cannon, because she knew that her body functions could not be improved quickly, and in the face of absolute strength, any skills would be pale.

So during this time she came into contact with various wooden magazines, learned how to use them and practiced her accuracy. Fortunately, she had some talent for accuracy.

She was nervous at first when holding the handle, but later she could get decent results with any common wooden weapon she picked up. Although she couldn't hit ten rings every time, an average level of eight to nine rings was enough.

After all, she didn't need to do any assassination, and close-range use also helped her overcome psychological barriers. Zhang Wei felt that she would be able to go to the UK with Venus to participate in the hunting season next year.

Some of the skills Venus taught Zhang Wei were very different from what other girls learned. Zhang Wei would sometimes compete with them. Although she often lost, she was not squeamish and had a good attitude. The girls would also teach her some skills that Venus did not teach her.

But one time when Zhang Wei was practicing those techniques, Venus stopped her:

"Do you think the techniques they taught you are better than mine?"

Although Zhang Wei didn't know why, she knew that Venus was not hiding anything. However, she would not take the initiative to ask for the reason. She thought it might be a secret that was not to be passed on.

So she nodded frankly and said, "It's indeed more powerful."

Venus shook her head and said, "The skills they learned are used to protect others, while the skills you learned are used to protect yourself."

After hearing what Venus said, Zhang Wei understood that the skills she learned were to defeat the opponent on the basis of protecting herself, and what they learned might cause certain harm to themselves, but the first and foremost professional quality in their line of work was to protect others.

Well, Zhang Wei didn’t think she was that powerful. She just didn’t want to be pointed at by Mu Cang and be unable to do anything.

So she continued to train hard, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief when the time was almost up. She felt that she would not be able to make this a career. She had not read for a long time, and she felt that her brain had become much duller, and she could only do mechanical body movements.

This was not what she wanted to do. Although she sometimes envied Venus's freedom and ease, she also knew that she really couldn't do that job.

Even Namir, who is always active, stayed in his room for two days without going out after finishing the training.

This summer vacation is just a small episode for Zhang Wei. She will soon return to Devon to continue her studies, and the next two years will be even more difficult.

Because she learned about pharmacy, which she wanted to study later. Pharmacy is divided into pharmacology and pharmaceutics. After all, she was interested in pharmacology.

This direction requires a very good foundation in biology and chemistry. The best pharmacology major in the world is at Harvard University, but it does not accept undergraduates.

So she only had one school as her best choice, which was the second-ranked Oxford School of Pharmacy.
