Chapter 32 Halloween

Chapter 32 Halloween

Zhang Wei followed her into the house and found that the furnishing style inside was similar to that of Wilson's house, a typical American style, but Wilson's house also had more children, so it seemed to have a stronger sense of life.

Dora's house was more spacious and tidy. She didn't see any adults until Dora took her to the second floor, so she asked:

"Are you home alone?"

"If you mean my parents, they're on vacation, but the staff at home are all here. I'm often alone, I'm used to it."

She said somewhat nonchalantly.

When we arrived at Dora's room, we realized that what she said about having read many books was not false. There was a huge bookshelf as high as a wall in her room, and it was full of books.

There were no little girl's items like dolls in her room, but there was an easel and some wet watercolor paintings. The overall style of the paintings was very bright, with both animals and landscapes.

"You draw so well!" Zhang Wei exclaimed.

"It's just to pass the time. You can do it if you want."

"I don't have this talent, let's practice the flute first!" Zhang Wei is self-aware.

I have to say, time flies when I have company while practicing. Besides, the owner of such a big house is not at home, so even if my playing is bad, I don’t feel any psychological burden and I feel quite comfortable.

The skill of playing the flute is to produce beautiful tones. Currently, they are only at the stage of being able to make sounds. Moreover, Zhang Wei has a large lung capacity, so she plays very loudly, which is both loud and unpleasant.

They also enjoyed afternoon tea together. Finally, Zhang Wei went home with a pile of books borrowed from Dora, feeling very happy. It seemed that she would not have to go to the reading room to borrow books for a long time...

After arriving in Country A, Zhang Wei seemed to have never been affected by the heat. It was only mid-October and she had to wear a woolen vest.

There will be a Halloween event at school next week, and many students have made preparations early. Although Zhang Wei has no idea about this kind of playing house, he has to follow the local customs.

"I heard the senior class will have a dance on Halloween!"

"I find it hard to believe that a bunch of monsters were running amok at a ball."

"Dora is right, the ball still needs some beauty," Zhang Wei agreed.

Grace pouted and said, "I haven't been to a dance yet!"

Dora stared at her with wide eyes: "Your mother holds a dance every month, and you said you have never attended?!"

Zhang Wei was also surprised when she heard this: "Do you have a dance party every month?"

At this moment, Zhang Wei imagined a scene where political and business celebrities gathered together and toasted each other.

"That has nothing to do with me. We're all adults. Why don't you guys throw a dance too? It's our own dance. Will you come and join us?"

As he said this, he looked at Dora and Zhang Wei with sparkling eyes.

They looked at each other and could see that neither of them seemed very interested in participating.

"Hey, Grace, we don't need a dance to socialize, and besides, I can't dance," Dora said bluntly.

Grace looked at Zhang Wei, and Zhang Wei agreed: "I haven't participated either, but I'm not very interested."

Just kidding, what can a group of little girls of a few years old do by having a dance party? It feels like a waste of time.

Seeing that she was too depressed, Zhang Wei comforted her, "But you can also ask other classmates, they might be interested."

"Forget it, they are only interested in Halloween right now. Oh, right!" Grace seemed to have come up with a good idea, "I can also suggest to Teacher Lievs that we hold a Halloween party!"

Well, things are back to square one again.

Grace is always so energetic, which is what a normal little girl should be like. She thinks Dora is a little mature, and she herself has no mood to be a child, so she is still quite envious of Grace.

Finally, the Halloween dance was prepared with Grace's suggestion and the approval of the whole class.

Zhang Wei only planned to borrow Emma's lipstick to draw a clown's mouth, and then use a red pen to make two flower cuts on her face. So when she saw everyone enthusiastically wearing cloaks to school, afraid of revealing their unique outfits in advance, she felt that she was being a bit perfunctory.

Namir was wearing a black wizard robe and a pointed hat. Even Manny had prepared a mask. Although you couldn't see what he was wearing under his cloak, he had obviously prepared carefully.

And today, Manny took the bus to school with them instead of riding his beloved bicycle, apparently afraid of ruining his outfit.

Suddenly, Zhang Wei looked at the neat school uniform she was wearing and felt a little out of place. However, she painted a clown mouth and face before entering the classroom, so she didn't look too different.

What surprised her was Dora. She was wearing a zombie outfit. Yes, it was the Qing Dynasty zombie outfit in Hong Kong dramas, with a piece of yellow talisman paper stuck on her hat.

Dora's fair skin makes her look like a little zombie.

"How did you prepare this?" Zhang Wei asked.

"I heard this is a ghost from your place. What do you think? Do I look like one?"

"Similar, very similar!" Zhang Wei was a little moved.

Perhaps it was because Emma and the others had told the teacher, or perhaps it was because of Teacher Ye Zi's consideration, but no one in the class had ever talked about Zhang Wei's background.

Although Zhang Wei did not shy away from mentioning her background, only Dora and the others knew that she came from a mysterious oriental country.

Compared to Zhang Wei's perfunctory attitude, the school atmosphere was much more solemn than Zhang Wei had imagined. Both the outside of the teaching building and the corridors of the classrooms had been redecorated. It turned out that the school was going to hold a "Human and Ghost Carnival", and all participating students could parade in the school at dusk.

She had originally planned to go home on time after finishing her club class, but the school provided pumpkin pie for dinner, and everyone was looking forward to the school parade, so Zhang Wei had no choice but to join in.

When the outdoor headlights were turned off, leaving only dim pumpkin lanterns on the roadside, there was a mysterious atmosphere on campus, but it was broken in a few seconds by the joyful howls of the students.

Like other classmates, Zhang Wei held a small candle and followed everyone out of the classroom with the dim light. Somehow, it reminded her of a time when there was a power outage during evening self-study in middle school.

It was raining outside the classroom at that time. The teacher found a half-burnt candle from somewhere, and a little candlelight lit up on the podium. Everyone else was chatting in a low voice, and Zhang Wei fell asleep immediately. When she woke up, she had already started to have sex. That sleep was so sweet that she still remembers it to this day.

Therefore, in her impression, candlelight is a symbol of warmth. The faint light in the darkness makes her feel safe, just like now. Although she is in a strange country, among strangers, and sometimes hears screams and cheers, she still finds a sense of peace.

Although I wasn't very happy in boarding school, I still feel at home here. Now I miss it a little...
