Chapter 56 Misunderstanding 2

Chapter 56 Misunderstanding 2

Emma obviously recognized this man she had only met once. She glanced at Venus, and seeing that she didn't seem to want to pay attention, she said through the iron gate:

"Sir, this is a private castle. No one is allowed to enter without an invitation. Please leave as soon as possible."

"Madam, I heard there's a castle for sale nearby. I'm interested, so I came to take a look."

The man glanced at Venus, who was concentrating on repairing the fountain, and continued:

“It was such an honor to meet both ladies again!”

Before Emma could speak, Charles' voice came from not far away:

"Sir, you may be mistaken. This is our family heritage and will never be sold!"

"Hey, Charles, I think we should ask Mary. We don't know the situation." Emma quickly walked to Charles and whispered.

Charles's face turned very serious and he said, "Absolutely not!"

Then he threatened the man outside in a deep voice, "You'd better leave quickly. If you want to harass the ladies under some pretext, I don't mind showing you my hunting tools!"

Zhang Wei saw that the situation was a little tense, so he hurried to the castle to find Aunt Mary.

To be honest, she felt that anyone could sell the castle, but Aunt Mary would never do so. The man looked so confident and didn't seem like a stalker looking for excuses.

"Absolutely not!"

After listening to Zhang Wei, Aunt Mary said the same thing as Charles, and then sat in a wheelchair and walked to the door.

Zhang Wei saw that something was wrong. Charles looked a little angry and just stared coldly outside the door.

Emma finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her elder sister-in-law come out.

"Our castle is not for sale. It is private territory. Please leave." Aunt Mary's tone was not friendly.

The man immediately pulled out a piece of paper and said, "Isn't this Hever Castle in Kent?"

"I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place. Although this is Kent County, this is Wilson Castle. Please leave." Charles ordered him to leave for the second time.

But this man was so calm that it was annoying. He put the paper away slowly and said:

"Okay, I guess I found the wrong person, but that blonde girl never even looked at me, which made me feel a little disappointed. Sorry to bother you."

Then he turned the carriage around and drove away.

Then everyone silently turned to look at Venus who was still busy. Only Charles touched his nose, looked at Namier not far away and shouted:

"Namir, look what you said!"

Zhang Wei thought about the situation when Charles just came over. Charles's expression was indeed not very good. She just happened to hear the man say "We'll meet again if we're lucky".

Smart Emma immediately thought of something and quickly pulled Charles aside and said:

"Were you mad at me just now? Honey, don't deny it, I can feel it."

Namir glanced at Emma and then shouted guiltily, "Mom, Dad told me to tell you. I didn't mean to tell on purpose!"

Zhang Wei rubbed his forehead and said, "You better not spread the message around..."

"Hey, what did Namir say? Tell me," Emma asked cheerfully, taking Charles' arm.

"I heard that you think I'm boring and that you praise other men..." The two voices gradually faded away.

The Wilsons walked arm in arm toward the west side of the backyard, leaving everyone behind. The setting sun cast a layer of golden light on them, which was very beautiful.

Zhang Wei had no doubt that they could resolve the misunderstanding immediately and perhaps even improve their relationship.

Suddenly, with a "swish" sound, the fountain next to it, which had been abandoned for decades, sprayed water several meters high, soaking Venus through and through.

This fountain is a three-story champagne tower, which looks particularly elegant. Against the backdrop of the sunset, it appears even softer and more solemn.

Zhang Wei seemed to see hundreds of years ago, gorgeously dressed gentlemen and ladies walking slowly past the fountain, entering the hall, and starting their luxurious nightlife.

"It's so beautiful! It's worth spending the whole afternoon here!" Venus exclaimed.

"Yeah, how come you know everything?" Zhang Wei asked. In fact, she was still a little curious about Venus's experience.

"What's the big deal? When you have nothing, you can learn anything. Forget it, you might never understand it in your life, why am I telling you this!"

She smiled self-deprecatingly, then immediately became happy again as she looked at the fountain:

"Come, Vera, let's dance together and I'll teach you!"

"I can't dance!" Zhang Wei struggled to run, but was pulled back by her. Then she threw Zhang Wei out without any reason and pulled her back, humming an unknown tune.

Seeing Zhang Wei being dizzy because of her, her giggles echoed throughout the manor.

She even waved to Namir: "Namir, why are you running? Come over here, let's dance together!"

Zhang Wei saw the disloyal Namier running away in fear.

Later, she was finally tired of dancing, and Zhang Wei's hair was all messed up. She lay on the grass and watched the sky gradually darken.

"What a wonderful day!" she exclaimed.

Zhang Wei lay beside her and agreed, "Yes, this is a great day."

Venus chuckled: "You also know what a good day is. Isn't this just your ordinary life?"

Although economic conditions are one aspect, for some people, the best life is when they are young, while for others, the good life comes after they grow up. Zhang Wei is the latter.

"So what kind of life did you lead before?" she asked.

“Excitement, turbulence, uncertainty”

"You like it?"

“I used to like it very much, but now I don’t like it as much.”

"Then you can always choose to live the life you want, just like now."

"Honestly, Vera, I don't think I'm talking to a seven-year-old girl. Has anyone ever told you that you're mature?"

"Everyone says so." Zhang Wei has become immune to it. What's more important is to do what makes him feel comfortable.

"I was much cuter than you when I was a kid, and all the boys loved to hang around me." Venus' voice was full of memories.

"Really? My friend Grace is the same way, the boys all like her."

"You can try it too. Smile more and ask for help. They will like you." She winked at her while teaching her.

"It doesn't matter. I think pleasing yourself is much more important than pleasing others." Zhang Wei said bluntly.

"See, this is why I don't like you people. It took me time and effort to slowly understand the truth, but a 7-year-old girl knows it."

Zhang Wei opened her mouth. She could hear a hint of sadness in Venus's subtle self-mockery.

However, no matter how mature Venus thought she was, she never shared any of her experiences with her. Zhang Wei felt that she could guess most of it.
