Chapter 105 Staying at Hu Dabiao's House
He suddenly became interested, leaned closer, and asked with interest: "Your mother has always said that I had an affair with Xiulan, why don't you believe it?"
Jiang Jinzhou paused with his chopsticks and put the noodles he was about to put into his mouth back into the bowl.
"I believe Xiulan. We were husband and wife in our last life, and we are still husband and wife in this life. There is no way she is having an affair with you. You are not as pretty as me, and she doesn't like you!"
This statement is both narcissistic and heartbreaking.
Hu Dabiao: Why do I not like to hear it?
"What's so good about you? You look like a skinny monkey."
"I'm a bad person. You haven't even considered that I forced myself on her. What are you going to do?"
Jiang Jinzhou chuckled: "Impossible, you can't beat her."
"Tsk!" Hu Dabiao rubbed his stubble and looked at the person who had been attacking him with a sad face.
"Why do I not like chatting with you?"
"Can you speak properly? If you can't, just go away!"
"I just don't like to hit women, you know shit!"
Jiang Jinzhou sneered and said nothing more.
He had been testing Hu Dabiao's bottom line, but no matter how offensive his words were, he had no real intention of driving him away.
That means that either he has really changed, or he is doing it for Liang Xiulan's sake.
No matter what the reason is, today, he can stay here with peace of mind.
After dinner, Hu Dabiao arranged for him to sleep in the guest room.
Hu Dabiao lives alone all year round and rarely keeps his house tidy. All the things he doesn't use are piled up in the guest room.
The bed was covered with clothes, even iron pots, large basins, broken brooms and other things.
There were also many out-of-season shoes, wire pliers, wrenches, and a bicycle with a wheel missing piled on the ground.
Looking around, there was almost no place to step.
"Just throw the things on the bed onto the floor. There's a quilt in the closet. Take it yourself."
"Okay, I'm going to sleep first. I have to work tomorrow morning."
After saying that, he turned around and left.
Jiang Jinzhou always liked cleanliness and tidiness, and his scalp went numb when he saw this.
He felt that he couldn't sleep in a room like this.
Fortunately, there was a bed in the room and he didn't have to sleep at the door, which was the best condition.
After walking around twice, I decided that I should make up the bed first.
As a result, he felt so sleepy after cleaning for a while.
She obediently followed Hu Dabiao's instructions, threw the things on the bed onto the floor, took the quilt from the cabinet, wrapped herself in clothes and fell asleep on the bed.
I had nightmares all night, all filled with scenes of quarrels with Xue Shuzhen.
In the dream, he was standing on the bed, and Xue Shuzhen was standing under the bed. They were pinching each other's waists, stretching their necks, and arguing over a child who had just turned five months old.
He dreamed again that it was a snowy day and the two of them were standing outside in the snow fighting over a child. Liang Xiulan was standing behind him with red and swollen eyes, her head lowered and not saying a word.
He also dreamed that Liang Xiulan had a high fever. He pulled Liang Xiulan to go to the hospital, but Xue Shuzhen stopped him and refused to let him go, saying that everything was for the child.
In the end, Liang Xiulan fainted in his arms, which made him so angry that his chest felt stuffy. He wanted to roar, but no sound came out.
"Get out! Get out! Get out of the way!!!"
Jiang Jinzhou sat up suddenly, his eyes were bloodshot, tears welled up in the corners of his eyes, and he was gasping for breath.
Those dreams were so real, he was just a piece of crap in them.
Xue Shuzhen, who has always been strong and thinks she is smart, is simply stupid in his dream.
She hurt him and Liang Xiulan's family time and time again, and they always quarreled fiercely, but in the end, he would choose to forgive, and even forced Liang Xiulan to forgive as well.
He shook his head vigorously and told himself that that was not him, it was just a dream.
The real him wouldn't do that.
He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead, threw back the quilt and got out of bed.
After walking around the yard, I found that Hu Dabiao had already gone to work. I glanced at the time on the wall of the main hall and it was already past ten o'clock.
When he walked into the kitchen, he saw the leftover noodles that Hu Dabiao had made for him last night on the chopping board.
He cooked some food himself, but when he took a bite, he found that what he had cooked was even worse than what Hu Dabiao had cooked.
But he was very hungry and had to swallow it no matter how bad the food tasted.
After dinner, wash the pots and dishes.
He thought the stove was too shabby, and since he had nothing to do, he cleaned it.
After cleaning the stove and taking a short rest, I went to clean up the room where I slept last night.
The room was full of clutter and smelled of motor oil, and he admired himself for how he had endured this room last night.
Clear out anything that doesn't belong in the bedroom and stuff out-of-season shoes under the bed.
The clothes on the bed were folded and stuffed into the closet. When I opened the closet, I found rat droppings there.
"Oh my god, that quilt last night, didn't a mouse sleep in it?"
He hurried to the bed to check and found a palm-sized patch of yellow dirt on the corner of the quilt.
Needless to say, it must be rat urine.
Fortunately, he slept with his clothes on last night, otherwise he would have been sick to death.
He didn't know how to take the quilt apart to wash it, so he just took the corner of the quilt and rinsed it under the water pipe.
Rub it clean with soap, rinse it in a basin of water, and hang it on the clothesline.
Afterwards, he picked up a torn towel from the ground, dipped it in water, cleaned the inside of the cabinet, and then put the clothes in.
Lift the bed sheet and throw it into the basin.
He turned around and tried to lift the mattress, but as soon as he lifted it up, he discovered a scorpion about the size of his palm lying underneath.
He was so scared that he threw the mattress to the ground.
From childhood to adulthood, he had never seen such a big scorpion. All the ones that were longer than the width of a thumb were caught.
Such a big scorpion, could it be a spirit?
He and Scorpion both stood there, staring at each other, neither daring to move.
Finally, Jiang Jinzhou caught a glimpse of a pair of chopsticks thrown on the ground. He picked them up quietly, slowly approached, and suddenly pounced on the scorpion, clamping it firmly.
No matter how the scorpion's tail twists, it cannot escape.
He quickly carried the scorpion to the kitchen, put it in a bowl, added water and sprinkled salt on it. After a while, the scorpion stopped moving.
This scorpion is not even enough to fill his teeth.
He picked up a flashlight from the windowsill, took the chopsticks and bowl, sneaked into the room again, checked everything on and under the bed, and picked up three more.
They are not that big, but they look like adults.
Just like the previous one, pour water and salt on it to soak, and continue cleaning.
I checked the front and back of the mattress and hung it on the clothesline outside.
He took a rag and wiped the bed once, swept the floor twice, and finally stopped to drink some water.
"Ah... being a woman... it's so hard..."
It turns out that a woman is so tired doing housework at home all day, even more tired than him going to work.
