Chapter 108 Back to School
To celebrate Jiang Wan and Zhou Chong's third wedding anniversary, and considering that the evening should be reserved for the young couple, Grandma Jiang specially arranged the family dinner for noon.
Jiang Ronghai and Shan Tong also returned home from the company at noon.
The family sat together and enjoyed a joyful reunion dinner.
After dinner, Jiang Wan sat on the sofa chatting with her grandmother. Even though she had just accompanied her grandmother back to Suzhou for a month before she returned from the previous life, seeing her grandmother with her full head of white hair now felt like it had been a long time since she had seen her.
She and Zhou Chong reluctantly left the villa when the old lady was about to take her afternoon nap.
The two got back into the car, and Zhou Chong started the engine, gripping the steering wheel, but for a moment he didn't know where to go.
After all, he and Jiang Wan had never planned a wedding anniversary before.
Just now, when Grandma saw them off from the villa, she held each of their hands and told them to hurry up and celebrate their anniversary.
That's when this matter was put on the agenda.
Zhou Chong rested his hand on the car window, his fingertips lightly tapping the steering wheel, and turned his head to look at Jiang Wan, "Is there anywhere you'd like to go?"
Jiang Wan bit her lower lip, tilted her head and thought for a moment, then looked up and nodded seriously, "Yes."
Zhou Chong looked at her slightly curved eyes, and suddenly realized something. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Back to school?"
Jiang Wan smiled knowingly and said, "Mm."
"Okay, let's go." Zhou Chong smiled, turned around, and stepped on the gas.

About half an hour later, the black Maybach stopped outside the gate of Lincheng No.1 Middle School.
It was summer vacation, and apart from the senior high school students who were taking extra classes, there was almost no one at the school.
The two registered their alumni information at the gate and walked hand in hand into the school gate.
Ten years later, Lincheng No.1 Middle School has been renovated and expanded. The campus area has doubled, with two more teaching buildings added, and even the vermilion and gold lettering on the school gate has been freshly painted.
Jiang Wan and Zhou Chong walked hand in hand through the campus, everything around them both familiar and strange.
In recent years, Lincheng No.1 Middle School has expanded its enrollment scale, and the two newly built teaching buildings are used to accommodate first- and second-year high school students.
The original old building was specifically converted to provide a quiet study environment for senior high school students.
After passing through the two brand-new buildings, the two walked back to the old teaching building as if they knew the way well.
The classroom layout has changed significantly compared to before. The classrooms on each floor are now closed, with lights on, and senior high school students engrossed in doing their homework.
Looking through the corridor window, the classroom was packed with people, but it was so quiet that the only sound was the scratching of pens on paper, blending in with the noisy cicadas chirping outside.
In the height of summer, even the wind blowing in your face feels hot.
As Jiang Wan walked upstairs, she broke out in a light sweat. This familiar heat made her feel, for a moment, as if she were back in the days before her college entrance exam.
Although for her and Zhou Chong, it had only happened not long ago.
“The new college entrance examination doesn’t differentiate between arts and sciences anymore, and the scores of the top 50 students in the province are even hidden.” Jiang Wan looked at the students in the classroom, turned to Zhou Chong and said, “You, the top science student in 2014, are now history.”
Zhou Chong chuckled and ruffled her hair. "So, according to you, you want to frame me and hang me on the wall?"
After hearing what he said, Jiang Wan suddenly thought of something, stretched her neck and looked into the corridor to her right, "Hey, there might actually be one."
After saying that, she pulled Zhou Chong and walked quickly forward.
When we registered at the gate, the security guard learned that we were alumni visiting our alma mater and kindly introduced some places suitable for alumni to visit.
The old teaching building has also been renovated and connected to the new teaching building. A row of alumni walls has been built on the connecting corridor to showcase the outstanding achievements of many distinguished alumni.
Jiang Wan thought that Zhou Chong, who was the top science student in Lincheng that year, should also appear on the alumni wall.
Sure enough, upon walking up the connecting corridor, the first section of the alumni wall displayed the honor roll of all previous college entrance examination candidates since the school's founding.
Luo Xuan's photo was also on it. Jiang Wan took a few more steps back and saw their row of students from the class of 2014.
Coincidentally, her photo and Zhou Chong's photo were placed side by side, one on the left and one on the right.
"Look, it's us!" Jiang Wan stood excitedly in front of the photo wall, pointing to the two of them in their school uniforms. "They're using our ID photos from before we graduated. They're so ugly. I look so silly."
Zhou Chong stood beside her, half-squatting down, looked away from the photo, looked at Jiang Wan, and patted the top of her head. "How could you be ugly? You look very pretty in your school uniform."
"Really?" Jiang Wan looked up at him, raising an eyebrow. "When we went back to before our senior year of high school, did you already like me? That's why you thought I looked good in my school uniform when we went back?"
Zhou Chong chuckled lightly, neither confirming nor denying.
Seeing that he didn't speak, Jiang Wan decided to tease him. She leaned down and whispered in his ear, "I fell in love with you before I went back in time. When I saw you in your school uniform as a teenager, I thought you were incredibly handsome at first glance."
She emphasized the last three words in a breathy voice, watching with satisfaction as Zhou Chong's ears slowly turned red.
Jiang Wan narrowed her eyes, but before she could step back and stand properly, Zhou Chong grabbed her wrist.
The man turned his head, raising an eyebrow. "Would you like to wear your school uniform one more time?"
Jiang Wan was taken aback, "...wearing a school uniform?"
Zhou Chong raised an eyebrow, took out his phone from his pocket, typed a few words on the screen, then put the phone away and fiddled with Jiang Wan's long, flowing hair. "Wear your school uniform and tie your hair in a ponytail, hmm?"
Jiang Wan lowered her eyes and glanced at Zhou Chong's phone screen. "Going to bother Lin Jie again?"
Lin Jie is Zhou Chong's assistant. He is very capable and usually handles all kinds of matters, big and small.
It's rare that Zhou Chong took the day off from work today, and Assistant Lin even had to come and do the work for him. Jiang Wan felt sorry for the working class.
“Anyway, he’s just sitting at the company anyway.” Zhou Chong raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t go to work, and he’s not on vacation.”
The screen in Zhou Chong's hand lit up, probably a message from Lin Jie. Zhou Chong looked down to confirm and reply.
Jiang Wan tossed her hair, smiled, and continued walking forward.
