Chapter 613 Misunderstood

Zhou Lin carefully observed the two radish heads in the box. She picked up one and found that there were some sesame candy crumbs on it.

An idea emerged in Zhou Lin's mind.

"Sister Ye Li, it's my fault that I messed up. I'll take the bus back right away." Zhou Lin has already identified the suspect who stole the ginseng.

"Do you know who replaced the ginseng?"

"Yes, it should be her. I will go back to confirm now and will definitely find the ginseng back." After Zhou Lin and Ye Li finished their report, they hung up the phone and went to the train station.

On the train back home, Zhou Lin angrily slapped herself, hating herself for not checking the gifts before leaving. As a result, she caused a misunderstanding with Boss Wang.

Zhou Lin never thought that the things she hid under the bed would be found and replaced by someone. She was so angry!

With a lot of anger in his heart, Zhou Lin pushed open the door of his house.

"Zhou Lin, weren't you on a business trip? Why are you back so early?" Aunt Liu was very surprised to see Zhou Lin coming back so soon.

...

...

"Where is Zhou Zhou?" Zhou Lin asked, ignoring her mother's question.

"She went out with Zhang Hui. What do you want to do with her?" Aunt Liu saw that something was wrong with Zhou Lin.

"She stole the things I brought to the client! I lost face in front of the client!" Zhou Lin said angrily, with her hands on her hips.

"Zhou Zhou has only been at our house for a few days. She's not the kind of kid who steals things! I think she's very well behaved. You must have lost something. What is it? Why don't you just buy a new one and send it to her?"

Aunt Liu obviously didn't believe Zhou Lin's words. She had seen Zhou Zhou's behavior and knew at first glance that he was a sensible child.

"I won't tell you. I'll wait for Zhou Zhou to come back." Zhou Lin knew that her mother didn't believe her, and she was too lazy to explain.

After a while, Zhang Hui came back with Zhou Zhou. Zhou Zhou was holding a string of candied haws in her hand and eating it happily.

Seeing Zhou Lin at home, Zhou Zhou subconsciously stopped and stepped behind his mother.

"Zhou Zhou, don't hide. Come here, I have something to ask you." Zhou Lin suppressed the anger in his heart and spoke as calmly as possible.

Zhou Zhou looked at his mother for help, and his mother motioned Zhou Zhou to come over.

"Aunt, what do you want to ask me?" Zhou Zhou asked in a low voice.

"Let me ask you, did you touch anything in this box last night?" Zhou Lin took out the box containing ginseng, put it on the table and asked.

"I didn't move. It wasn't me." Zhou Zhou denied it immediately after taking a look.

"Really not you?" Zhou Lin frowned. She opened the box, took out Radish Head, pointed at the sesame candy on top and continued, "I remember you were eating sesame candy before you went to bed. You see, that's the sesame candy stuck here."

"It's not me, it's really not me, aunt! Mom, look at the look in my aunt's eyes, she's so scared!" Zhou Zhou shook his head like a rattle and looked at his mother aggrievedly.

"Zhou Zhou, be good and don't cry." Seeing this, Zhang Hui hugged Zhou Zhou in her arms and coaxed her, her hands constantly touching Zhou Zhou's head, as if to comfort her wounded heart.

"She's not crying, stop trying to comfort her!" Zhou Lin got even angrier when she saw Zhang Hui's hypocritical look. She felt like a bad guy who was bullying Zhou Zhou.

"Okay Zhou Lin, Zhou Zhou has already said that it's not her, why are you still forcing the child to admit it. You don't care about the good things yourself, but you blame others. Zhou Zhou, let's go!" Aunt Liu saw Zhou Zhou curled up in Zhang Hui's arms with grievance, and felt that Zhou Lin had gone too far, so she pulled Zhou Zhou and prepared to leave.

At this time, Xiaohu came back from outside, holding half a ginseng in his hand, chewing it and spitting it out.

"It tastes terrible. How can anyone like to eat this?"

Zhou Lin was shocked when she saw this scene. She screamed, "Xiao Hu! Come here!"

Xiaohu was so frightened by Zhou Lin's yell that he dropped the half ginseng in his hand and ran out.

"It's you, kid! Come back here!" Zhou Lin shouted and chased after him.

"Grandma, save me!" Xiaohu shouted at Aunt Liu at the top of his voice, begging her for protection.

"It's no use calling grandma, stop it right there."

Xiao Hu was fat and heavy. He was caught by Zhou Lin after running a few steps. Zhou Lin took Xiao Hu by the collar and brought him home.

"Aunt, what are you doing?" Xiaohu twisted his body unhappily and struggled to break free from Zhou Lin's restraints.

"How dare you ask me! Did you steal my things from my room? This is a gift for a guest, and you ruined it like this. Do you know how valuable the things you just vomited are? Even if you were sold, you wouldn't be worth this price!" Zhou Lin squatted on the bed and picked up the half of the ginseng that Xiaohu threw away, holding it in her palm with a heartache. It felt like her heart was broken into eight pieces.

"I didn't steal it, but you put it in a conspicuous place. I thought it was something delicious. Who knew it tasted so bad? I wouldn't have taken it if I had known." Xiaohu was quite reasonable. He didn't think he had done anything wrong. Instead, he blamed all the mistakes on Zhou Lin.

"Where is it conspicuous? Under the bed! Can you please stop lying?" Zhou Lin stretched out his hand and poked Xiaohu's head hard.

"It hurts so much, grandma! My aunt hit me! I fell from your bed..." Xiaohu was interrupted by Zhang Hui before he could finish the rest of his sentence.

"Zhou Lin, Xiaohu is still a child, you just need to tell him if he made a mistake. Don't hit the child. Look how hurt he is." Zhang Hui, who was watching the fun, took the opportunity to add fuel to the fire.

"Zhou Lin! Take your hands away! You have no right to hit Xiaohu!" Aunt Liu saw Xiaohu crying and immediately shouted at Zhou Lin.

"Mom! She ruined my ginseng, and it was wild old ginseng! Do you know how much it costs? The key is that even if you have money, you may not be able to find two!" Zhou Lin was overwhelmed. How should she explain to Ye Li?

"I don't know what wild ginseng is. Anyway, you have money, so you can go out and buy two and pay for it. I think it's your fault! Since you didn't keep such a valuable thing properly, and you were so careless even though you knew there were children at home, you deserve to suffer! Xiaohu, come here to grandma. Let me see if it hurts."

Aunt Liu called Xiaohu over and rubbed his head with concern. Seeing that Xiaohu was not seriously injured, she glared at Zhou Lin and took the child back to her room.

Seeing Zhou Lin suffer a loss, Zhou Zhou happily covered her mouth and laughed secretly. Zhang Hui's eyes were also full of pride.

"Zhou Zhou, let's go back to the room too." Zhang Hui was very happy because she had won the battle. She took Zhou Zhou back to the room and locked the door.

"Mom, I want some more sesame candy!" Zhou Zhou asked Zhang Hui for candy as soon as he entered the house.

"Eat two less. Several of your teeth have been damaged." Although Zhang Hui said this, she still gave Zhou Zhou a few sesame candies.
