"Uncle! You must be saying this out of anger, right? My mom told you not to fire me!" Tang Xue panicked when she heard what Director Han said.
She knocked on the door hard, trying to get Director Han to open it.
But in the end, Director Han did not open the door. Instead, two people from the security department came and carried Tang Xue out of the factory, one on each side, and threw her belongings out.
The workers who came to watch the fun all poked their heads out of the workshop, especially those who won the bet, who looked gloating.
"What do you think? Director Han fired his own niece for the sake of justice! I won the bet!"
"I didn't expect that Tang Xue was the one who got fired. I thought it was Jiang Xi who was leaving. I guess I lost the bet."
The workers who were betting began to settle their bets. But Director Han appeared behind them and caught several workers who were gambling on the spot.
"You are so bold that you are gambling in the factory! I see you guys don't want to do this anymore! You, you, and you! All of you go home and reflect on yourselves for a week. Come back to work when your ideological awareness has improved!" Director Han's face turned green with anger. He angrily pointed at a few workers who were not doing their jobs and punished them by stopping work for a week.
After announcing the punishments for several workers, Director Han confiscated all the gambling money that those workers had won and kept it for personal use.
...
...
"Hurry up and get back to work, or else Director Han will catch you making a mistake and punish you."
"Let's go quickly. Don't eat the melons from Director Han's house. They're too spicy."
All the workers who were watching the fun returned to their posts and started working hard.
Director Han glanced at Jiang Xi with an unfriendly look and left with a stern face.
"Why are you looking at me like that! It's not my fault that Tang Xue was fired!" Jiang Xi was given a cold look by Director Han, and felt very depressed.
But if he thought about it again, what was there for him to worry about since Tang Xue had already fired him? At least he was better off than Tang Xue and had kept his job.
Just as Jiang Xi was about to go back to work, a worker came running to him.
"Jiang Xi, your brother is looking for you, go there quickly." A co-worker passed a message to Jiang Xi.
"I'll go right away!"
Jiang Xi trotted all the way to Jiang Xun's office. As soon as he pushed the door open, he saw Guan Shipeng lying on the single bed in Jiang Xun's office to rest.
"Jiang Xi, come with me and take my father-in-law to the hospital." Although Jiang Xun could carry Guan Shipeng by himself, it would be troublesome to pay the bills at the hospital.
"Uncle, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell again?" Jiang Xi remembered that Guan Shipeng had felt unwell several times.
"Xiao Jiang, I'm fine. I'll be fine after a while. You don't have to make such a fuss." Guan Shipeng struggled to sit up from the bed.
Guan Shipeng had just come to Jiang Xun to discuss the design, but he felt dizzy for some reason. Then he lay down in Jiang Xun's single bed.
"Dad, let's go to the hospital. We are all worried about you." Jiang Xun was frightened by Guan Shipeng just now. A person who was talking peacefully suddenly fell down. If Jiang Xun hadn't had some skills and reacted quickly, Guan Shipeng would have definitely fallen to the ground.
"It's an old problem! I went to the hospital for a check-up and it's nothing serious!" Guan Shipeng knew his own body and he refused to go to the hospital.
"Dad, if you don't go, I'll call Li Li and ask her to come over to persuade you." Seeing that he couldn't persuade Guan Shipeng, Jiang Xun moved Ye Li out.
"Don't ask her to come. Xiao Li is so busy all the time, don't disturb her with such a small matter as mine." Guan Shipeng said as he got up from the bed and prepared to leave Jiang Xun's office.
"Look, I'm fine now! This is an old illness and it can't be cured. It's not life-threatening. It may be because I stayed up late again recently, which caused the old illness to recur. I will try to go home and go to bed early tonight." Guan Shipeng recalled the cause of the illness, which was probably because he had been staying up late to draw drawings in recent nights.
The factory keeps pace with the times. Last week, Director Han, who returned from an exchange meeting abroad, gave Guan Shipeng a new task. So Guan Shipeng has been staying up late and working overtime in the past week, so much so that his body is too tired to bear it.
"No matter what you say, Dad, we have to go to the hospital today. Since you don't let Li Li come, just listen to us." Jiang Xun refused to give in. He was afraid that something might happen to Guan Shipeng, and it would be difficult to explain to Ye Li then.
"Yes, uncle, let's go to the hospital first. Your health is the most important. It would be best if nothing happens. Then we can have peace of mind, right?" Jiang Xi also persuaded Guan Shipeng to go to the hospital for a check-up.
Seeing that he couldn't persuade the two men, Guan Shipeng had to follow them to the hospital.
When they arrived at the hospital, the two of them accompanied Guan Shipeng to check around and found that there was no major problem, just as Guan Shipeng had said.
Even the doctors found it strange that a healthy person kept fainting over and over again.
The doctor finally concluded that he was extremely weak and tired and needed to recuperate at home and was not suitable for work.
After reaching this conclusion, Guan Shipeng smiled helplessly.
"I'm old and useless!"
"Dad, why don't you take some time off and rest at home for a while? Take care of your health first."
"I've rested enough, let's go back to the factory together." Guan Shipeng refused to listen and insisted on going back to the factory to work.
Jiang Xun and Jiang Xi exchanged glances and agreed that it would be best to let Ye Li do the task of persuading Guan Shipeng to recuperate.
"Then go back to the factory first. I'll take you back when you get off work. Don't stay in the factory to work overtime."
"Okay, I'll ride your motorcycle back home in the evening."
Not staying to work overtime today can be considered as a compromise by Guan Shipeng.
When it was time to get off work, Jiang Xun rode his motorcycle and took Guan Shipeng back to the courtyard.
The two happened to meet Ye Li who had just returned.
"Li Li, come here for a moment. I have something to tell you." Jiang Xun called Ye Li aside and told her about Guan Shipeng's situation during the day.
Ye Li refused to do it when she heard that. She saw her father walking towards the backyard, so she trotted after him.
"Dad, why didn't you let Jiang Xun call me! How many times have you fainted? I'm really afraid that something might happen to you!" Ye Li was very anxious. She vaguely felt that if her father continued to waste time like this, his body would collapse.
"Xiao Li, don't worry. I won't stay up late tonight and will go to bed early. I'll be fine tomorrow." Guan Shipeng smiled at Ye Li, but there was a hint of fatigue in his smile.
"No! I don't agree with you going to work again. You are old and can't work as hard as young people. Dad, I suggest you resign from the factory." Ye Li directly stated his solution.
"Resign? It's not that serious." Guan Shipeng didn't expect that Ye Li would not let him go back to work in the machinery factory.
"It's that serious! Whether you agree or not, you have to do it! I don't want to see you faint again!" Ye Li still felt scared when she thought of Guan Shipeng who fainted in her room last time.
