Chapter 605 Return the Money

Zhang Hui was kicked out of the examination room. She felt so ashamed. However, what made her more anxious was that her mother-in-law had spent a lot of money to buy her the test paper. If her mother-in-law knew that she was kicked out before she finished answering the questions, Aunt Liu would be so angry that she would die.

Zhang Hui walked out of the factory with her bag in hand and her head lowered. When she saw Aunt Jiang at the door, she lowered her head even lower.

"Zhang Hui, you finished the exam so soon? It seems you can do all the questions!" Aunt Jiang said as she opened the door for Zhang Hui.

"Yeah." Zhang Hui replied vaguely and ran out of the factory with her bag.

After leaving the factory, Zhang Hui didn't dare to go back so early. She strolled on the road for a long time and returned to the courtyard when she estimated that the time was about right.

"Zhang Hui, how did you do on the test? Did you pass?"

Aunt Liu was cleaning the room. When she saw Zhang Hui coming back, she immediately went up to her and asked about her exam results.

"I think so. There are so many people taking the exam today!"

"That's good. Zhou Lin said we'll know the test results tomorrow. If you pass, I'll make a table full of delicious food to reward you. You'll be the pillar of our family in the future!" Aunt Liu became happier and happier as she spoke, looking forward to tomorrow.

...

...

"Mom, I don't know how many people the factory has admitted. There should be quite a few people who have bought the test papers. Let's just treat it with a normal attitude." Seeing that Aunt Liu was too happy, Zhang Hui began to pour cold water on her, fearing that Aunt Liu would be too disappointed when she found out tomorrow that she had failed the exam.

"Okay, I got it. I've already cleaned up your room, you go and have a rest. I'll go prepare lunch." After saying that, Aunt Liu hummed a little tune and left the room.

Aunt Liu was happy when she saw Aunt Li from the next yard coming to borrow something, so she greeted her.

"Aunt Liu, why are you in such a good mood today?" Aunt Li stood there chatting with Aunt Liu, holding the borrowed iron clamps.

"My daughter-in-law went to the weaving factory to take an exam today and I think she will pass. I heard that your daughter went too. How did she do?" Aunt Liu felt good about herself.

"She just came back and said she couldn't answer many of the questions. I'm afraid it's unlikely! Your Zhang Hui did well in the exam?" Aunt Li looked confused when she heard Aunt Liu's words.

"Yes, why do you have that expression? You are looking down on me!" When Aunt Liu saw the other party questioning Zhang Hui, she immediately asked back unhappily.

"How could I look down on others? I heard from my daughter that your Zhang Hui was caught cheating in the exam, and was kicked out before she even finished answering the questions!" Aunt Li was a straightforward person, and she told her the truth.

"What! How is that possible! My Zhang Hui will never be kicked out! Your daughter must have seen the wrong person. I heard Zhang Hui say that there are a lot of people taking the exam this time. Maybe she was wrong." Aunt Liu's first reaction was to deny it. She didn't believe that Zhang Hui would be kicked out.

"Oh, maybe my daughter saw it wrong. Aunt Liu, just pretend that I didn't say anything. I have to go back." Aunt Li didn't dare to say anything more when she saw this. She took the borrowed iron clamp and left.

"Tsk, why do people nowadays make up all kinds of rumors? My Zhang Hui was memorizing the test questions the whole night last night, so is she cheating?" Aunt Liu didn't think that Zhang Hui would be kicked out of the examination room.

The next day, the factory began to announce the results of the exam. All the one hundred people who took the exam passed. Aunt Liu repeatedly searched for Zhang Hui's name among the names of those who passed the exam, but she couldn't find it after searching for a long time.

"Zhang Hui, you really didn't pass the exam?"

Aunt Liu couldn't believe her eyes. She searched for the name again from beginning to end without giving up.

"Mom, forget it, let's go back!" Zhang Hui covered half of her face and pulled Aunt Liu out.

"No! The person who sold us the test paper must have provided a fake one, otherwise how could I fail! I have to ask her to return the money!" Aunt Liu said as she was about to go into the factory to find someone.

"Mom, don't go. There are so many people here. It's so embarrassing." Zhang Hui pulled Aunt Liu and stopped her from going in.

"I'm so angry! How dare that little girl cheat me of my money! I'll sit at the factory gate and wait for her today! I must make her return my money!" Aunt Liu found a clean step, sat down and waited.

Zhang Hui tried to dissuade Aunt Liu again and again, but she was determined not to leave. Finally, Zhang Hui had no choice but to go home first.

"Look, why is it written on the list that says those who passed the first test? There is also a second test?"

Someone discovered the problem. While people were discussing it, the factory posted another notice, reminding everyone that there would be another round of interviews.

"Why is there a retest? I haven't heard of a retest before. Why is it so troublesome?"

"Maybe too many people passed the exam this time, so we have to go through a re-examination to eliminate a group of people. Look, the re-examination is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Let's go back and prepare."

"Walk!"

After reading the notice, the onlookers left one after another, leaving only Aunt Liu sitting like a stone not far from the door.

When Cuicui was leaving the factory during the shift change at noon, she was caught by Aunt Liu.

"You liar, give me your money back!" Aunt Liu jumped up from the ground and grabbed Cuicui's clothes to prevent her from leaving.

"Keep your voice down! If you have anything to say, please talk at a distance!" Cuicui panicked and quickly took Aunt Liu away from the factory.

"Let me ask you, the test paper you sold me must be fake! How come my daughter-in-law didn't pass the test even though she spent the whole night studying for the test?" Aunt Liu followed Cuicui and walked a few steps away before she started to settle the accounts.

"How could it be fake? I sold more than 30 people. Why are you the only one to come to me to settle the score? What does this mean? It means that your daughter-in-law's cultural level is not good, not that there is a problem with my test paper!" Cuicui slapped Aunt Liu's hand away and straightened her clothes that were messed up.

"Impossible, you must be lying. My daughter-in-law doesn't look like such a stupid person." Aunt Liu did not agree with the other party's explanation.

"Who knows? You see, I've been standing here for such a long time, and you're the only one looking for me. No one else said there was anything wrong with my test paper." Cuicui crossed her arms, looking frank.

Seeing that the other party had no guilt at all, Aunt Liu also became suspicious of Zhang Hui.

"By the way, I remember that during the exam, a woman was kicked out for cheating. Could she be your wife? If that were true, it would be so embarrassing. She was the only one who was kicked out of the exam room." Cui Cui suddenly thought of what happened yesterday when everyone was discussing the exam.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible." Aunt Liu felt more and more guilty as she spoke, because Aunt Li also mentioned yesterday that Zhang Hui was kicked out for cheating. How could it be such a coincidence?

"Okay, stop blaming me. Go home and ask your daughter-in-law. She must have lied to you!" After saying that, Cuicui turned and left, leaving Aunt Liu standing there in a daze.
