"Mm." Qiao Xi nodded.
Jun Jiuge said without hesitation, "Without you helping me buy time, my fate wouldn't be any better than it is now."
The implication is... that she accepted the fact that she saved her?
However, Qiao Xi immediately remembered Jun Jiuge's conversation with that Brother Jin. She was about to ask when Jun Jiuge interrupted her again, "How many can you take on?"
The question left Qiao Xi feeling awkward. "The ones inside were easy to deal with, but the ones that have come in now look a bit tougher."
“They’re all bodyguards from the Ma Qianbang gang,” Jun Jiuge suddenly added.
"Who is Ma Qianbang?" Qiao Xi had just heard Jun Jiuge mention this name outside, and she then asked, "And what is that thing they were talking about?"
Jun Jiuge gave Qiao Xi a look, neither malicious nor a warning, but she just didn't really want to tell her.
Qiao Xi understood and said with disappointment, "Okay, tell me after we get out of here safely."
Jun Jiuge carefully observed the current situation and then gestured to Qiao Xi, "Leave Ma Qianbang to me, you go deal with those bastards."
After saying that, she was about to rush out when Qiao Xi felt she was being impulsive and quickly pulled her back. "There are quite a few scumbags, we need to outsmart them."
If they were to rush out and fight head-on, Jun Jiuge wouldn't stand a chance, especially since they had already captured the driver. They had virtually no chance of winning. However, sitting and waiting to die wasn't Jun Jiuge's usual style.
Qiao Xi had never encountered such a situation before, but with some experiences from her previous life, she wasn't scared out of her wits.

Jun Jiuge refrained from making any further rash moves and began observing the situation outside with Qiao Xi.
Brother Jin approached the gray-haired man with a servile demeanor, saying, "Master Ma."
Qiao Xi was immediately jolted when she heard this name; it turned out he was Ma Qianbang.
Ma Qianbao asked him with a not-so-pleasant expression, "Where is he?"
"They ran away," Jin said cautiously. Seeing that Ma Qianbang's expression was about to change, he quickly added, "They can't have escaped; they must still be in the yard."
"Aren't you going to find it for me?!" Ma Bao's eyes darkened as he ordered him.
Brother Jin immediately ordered his men, "Go find it!"
"Yes." The men responded and went to find someone.
The place where Qiao Xi and Jun Jiuge were hiding wasn't that safe either; if they searched carefully, they would find them very quickly.
Just then, driver Xiao Li was brought in by Ma Qianbao's men. Ma Qianbao looked him up and down and asked, "Are you one of Qi Jincheng's men?"
"Where is our lady?" Xiao Li looked around for Qiao Xi, thinking that they had captured her.
"Your wife?" Ma Qianbang frowned upon hearing the form of address, then quickly realized what he meant and said, "You mean, Madam Qi is here too?"
Before Xiao Li could answer, Brother Jin covered the back of his head and said angrily, "Master Ma, a little girl did run in just now, and she's the one who hit me."
"What have you done to our lady?" Xiao Li asked anxiously again.
"Little girl?" Ma Qianbang looked at Brother Jin with a questioning look in his eyes.
Brother Jin nodded affirmatively and said, "Yes, about the same size as that bitch Jun Jiuge."
"Could she be President Qi's wife?" Ma Qianbang's skeptical gaze lingered between Brother Jin and Xiao Li.
Jin immediately denied it, saying, "Master Ma, that's impossible. That brat looks about the same age as that bitch Jun Jiuge, how could she possibly be Madam Qi?"
Ma Qianbang suddenly smiled slyly and said, "Yes, how could Madam Qi possibly come to a place like this?"
"You said you're Qi Jincheng's man?" Ma Qianbang's suspicious gaze fell on Xiao Li.
Xiao Li has been a driver at Fuyuan for many years, and he can tell what Ma Qianbang is up to. "I am President Qi's driver."
"Do you have any evidence?" Ma Qianbang asked, just as Xiao Li had expected. "How can you prove you're President Qi's driver without evidence?"
Xiao Li gritted her teeth and glared at him angrily, demanding, "What exactly did you do to our lady?"
Before he could finish speaking, Ma Qianbang's bodyguard threw a punch at Xiao Li, hitting him squarely in the stomach. Xiao Li immediately let out a painful groan.
"How dare you impersonate President Qi's driver!" Ma Qianbang, a cunning old fox, said with an air of righteous indignation. "I'll teach you a lesson today and help President Qi vent his anger."
Xiao Li, hunched over in pain, reminded him, "President Qi will be here soon."
"You notified him?" Ma Qianbang's face immediately darkened again.
But then he chuckled and said confidently, "You were trying to contact him, weren't you? Too bad you didn't get through?"
Just as expected!
Hearing his words, Qiao Xi felt a chill run through her heart, and her last hope was shattered.
"What are you all standing there for? Are you waiting for President Qi to deal with him?" Ma Qianbang couldn't wait any longer and wanted to kill him to silence him. "It seems like everyone wants to get on President Qi's good side. If he finds out, do you think he'll have any chance of survival?"
Qiao Xi couldn't stand by and watch him make a move against Xiao Li. The people of Fuyuan weren't people they could just mess with!
Before she could even discuss it with Jun Jiuge, Qiao Xi immediately stepped forward and shouted, "Stop!"
Seeing this, Jun Jiuge had no choice but to step forward as well.
"They're here!" Brother Jin shouted as soon as he saw them.
A large group of thugs swarmed in and surrounded them.

"Madam." Xiao Li breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Qiao Xi was alright.
Although she was surrounded, Qiao Xi still pretended to be relaxed and said to him, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
"Hehe, you've finally decided to come out." Ma Qianbang looked on as if he was extremely welcoming to them.
"Release him," Qiao Xi demanded, disregarding his authority.
Upon hearing this, Ma Qianbang, instead of getting angry, laughed and said, "Hehehe, do you, a little yellow-haired girl, know your own predicament?"
“These are all my men. You won’t be able to leave so easily today.”
After saying that, the bodyguards surrounding them took a few more steps forward, ready to take them down in one fell swoop.
Jun Jiuge instinctively stepped in front of Qiao Xi, her sharp gaze sweeping over Ma Qianbang as she said, "What you want, I can give you."
"This must be Miss Jiu," Ma Qianbang said, his shrewd eyes scrutinizing Jun Jiuge.
Judging from his tone, he probably doesn't know Jun Jiuge and this is the first time he's met her.
Jun Jiuge, not to be outdone, started negotiating with him, "You make them leave, and I'll tell you where the things are."
