Chapter 34 Hou are you?

Chapter 34 Hou are you?

"Lemon."

Jiang Wan Ning looked up and saw Shen Ru Zhi barging in, saying, "I went to your yard just now and you weren't there."

"I happened to run into Haitang, who had just finished packing her things and was heading out. She said, 'You've come here.'"

He walked over and sat down next to Jiang Wan Ning, "She's awake?"

“She’s been awake for several days now,” Jiang Wanning said with a glance.

Shen Ruzhi then noticed Yu Hai sitting opposite her, hidden by the peony.

"Hi~" Yu Hai subconsciously raised his hand to greet him.

Shen Ruzhi paused for a moment, "Sorry, I didn't notice you were acting like a little greyhound..."

"Cough...cough..."

Yu Haigang choked on a mouthful of water, coughing violently until his face turned red.

"Take your time, it's just a bowl of tea, no one's going to take it from you."

Yu Hai suddenly looked up, "Hou are you?"

Shen Ruzhi was stunned. Looking at Yu Hai's excited eyes, she turned to Jiang Wanning and asked, "Is there something wrong with his head?"

"What did you just say, Ah You? Does he even know he's 'you'?"

Jiang Wan Ning suppressed a laugh.

Upon hearing Shen Ruzhi's words, Yu Hai's eyes showed a hint of disappointment. "I'm still here, thank you."

Shen Ruzhi shrugged and pulled Jiang Wanning, saying, "Ningning, when I came in, I saw that Bihe Courtyard had invited a doctor over."

"It seems that Aunt Liu has vomited blood and fainted."

Jiang Wan Ning smiled, a slight curve to her lips.

Shen Ruzhi exclaimed in surprise, "Is it you?"

“It was me,” Jiang Wanning said, “but they were willing to take the bait.”

Shen Ruzhi laughed loudly, "Heavens above, you've finally returned my Ningning to me."

"This is the Jiang Wan Ning I knew when I was a child!"

Jiang Wan Ning played around with Shen Ru Zhi, and when she caught a glimpse of Yu Hai's disappointed look, she stood up and said, "Then I'll come see you another day."

Yu Hai nodded.

The two hadn't gone far when they suddenly heard a voice behind them, "Wait!"

Shen Ruzhi and Jiang Wanning turned to look at Yu Hai.

"Hey, young lady, where am I oily?" Yu Hai asked.

I'm at least considered to have a decent appearance.

Shen Ruzhi muttered under her breath, "I knew she was sick."

Jiang Wanning explained in a low voice, "Maybe you look a lot like someone he knows from his hometown, so he thought you were someone he knew."

"He's sick."

Shen Ruzhi looked down on Yu Hai in the slightest, saying, "Anyone who marries a man like that in the future will be extremely unlucky."

Jiang Wanning smiled and asked, "What brings you here today?"

"It's been a few days since I've seen you, so I came to check on you."

"I wanted to ask you, are you going to the spring banquet in a couple of days or not?"

“Yes, we must go,” Jiang Wanning said. “Not only do I have to go, but Jiang Wanru also has to go.”

"Why bring her along?"

"Of course, it's for fun."

As Jiang Wan Ning spoke, she arrived at Bihe Courtyard and bowed slightly to Jiang Zheng and Madam Zhou.

"Father, Mother."

"My daughter heard that her aunt was sick, so she came to visit her."

"Ningning is so thoughtful," Jiang Zheng said.

"We're all one family."

Jiang Zheng was extremely satisfied with his daughter, and not only his daughter,

Recently, Zhou has suddenly become kinder to me.

They also began to show concern for Aunt Liu and her daughter.

"What's wrong with Auntie?"

"The doctor said it's due to pent-up emotions," Zhou said.

"A feeling of pent-up frustration?" Jiang Wan Ning feigned surprise. "Zhang Mama, is it that the servants in Bihe Courtyard are disobeying the mistress's orders?"

“Reporting to Miss,” Zhang Mama had already prepared a response, “it is because the concubine feels she has failed the Marquis and his wife.”

"Although the Second Miss knows she was wrong about the matter between the Second Miss and the Prince, Aunt is still angry that the Second Miss was deceived by the Prince."

"But the second young lady is his own flesh and blood, so he held back his anger for a while, and over time it turned into this."

Jiang Wan Ning nodded slightly, then looked around, "So that's how it is."

"As soon as I entered the room, I noticed that many of my aunt's valuables were gone, and there wasn't much jewelry on her dressing table either."

"I thought Bihe Courtyard had been burgled and that my aunt had lost something, so I..."

Jiang Zheng then noticed and asked, "Yes. What happened to the things in Aunt's room?"

Zhang Mama was nervous, but she quickly regained her composure and said, "Reporting to the Marquis, it was the concubine who said it."

"I have failed in my duty to raise my daughter and she is unworthy to use these things, so I have put them away."

"Recently, I've been living a simple life, eating plain tea and rice, and repenting."

"I see," Jiang Wanning said before Jiang Zheng could speak. "Auntie, you really didn't have to do that."

"Look at you, you've harmed your own health and caused us unnecessary worry."

"Father is so busy with work, this...this is just adding to the trouble."

The initial pang of guilt that Jiang Zheng had felt vanished instantly; his daughter was right.

In the past, it seemed that eight out of ten times this would delay my important business, and even once recently I was reprimanded by the emperor because of it.

If it weren't for the timely intervention of the Prince of Langya,

I'm afraid I'll get a severe scolding because Liu fell ill due to self-blame, and I felt guilty so much that I sat in the room with her for a long time.

"Cough...cough cough...Young Miss is right."

"My lord, this is all my fault. I will try my best to get sick less often in the future."

"This lowly concubine is not worth the trouble of you two coming all the way here when she is sick."

Aunt Liu's lips were pale, and she weakly struggled to raise her head. "Master, it's all my fault."

Shen Ruzhi clenched her fists, wanting to speak.

Jiang Wan Ning gently pulled her, and she saw that her father, this straight-laced man, was about to be successfully seduced by Liu Shi, this green tea.

Jiang Wan Ning immediately stepped forward, "Why does Auntie always say she's wrong, that she's wrong?"

“You always sound so aggrieved.”

“We are a family, no one here blames Auntie.”

Jiang Wan Ning looked at Zhang Mama as she spoke, "Mama, hurry up and bring out all of the concubine's jewelry and the ornaments in this room and put them out."

"A concubine's room is so shabby. If this gets out to someone with ulterior motives, they'll say that the Marquis's mansion is big enough to accommodate concubines."

"Where would that leave my father's face?"

When Zhou saw that Zhang Mama was hesitant and unresponsive, she knew that there was more to the story.

Following Jiang Wanning's words, he said, "Master, I think Ningning is right."

"This house makes me feel a little sad. We already know Aunt Liu's intentions."

"The fault lies entirely with the Prince's son, so Auntie need not blame herself."

Jiang Zheng and Liu were already quite surprised that Zhou had come today.

Zhou's words shocked Jiang Zheng even more.

The lady understands me now.

Jiang Zheng smiled and asked Zhang Mama, "What is it?"

"Is the young lady no longer able to command a servant like you?"

"This old servant dares not!" Granny Zhang bowed and kowtowed.

"Hurry up and get everything out and set it up."

"Master!" Aunt Liu struggled to get up, and Jiang Wanru stepped forward to support her. "Mother."

"Please take care of yourself."

Aunt Liu knelt beside Jiang Zheng, saying, "Master, please forgive me."

"Those things...they're all gone."

Jiang Zheng frowned slightly. "What do you mean by that, Aunt?"
