From afar, Mingyao could hear Boss Wang's heavy breathing and the clattering sound of his suitcase being pulled.
As the sound drew closer, the assailant's steps quickened.
Mingyao peeked out and looked ahead.
Soon, he saw Wang Zhouheng behind a bunker.
He was hiding in a well-hidden spot; she could see him from that position, but the assailant couldn't.
Now all that's left is for Boss Wang to make the deal with the thugs, at which point she and Wang Zhouheng will pounce on them and subdue them.
After arriving at the agreed-upon room, Boss Wang said to the dark corridor ahead, "I've brought the money. Now, release my son!"
A rough, hoarse voice came through, accompanied by crackling electrical noises: "Your son has been released."
